weekend wrap-up
"TGIS" i should say, nothing has changed up to now, Saturday is still my favored day of the week. I've been longing for this day all week long coz i'm excited to perform in the Tagalog worship service. and my sister and husband don't have work on this day, so we get to be together at home all day 'til Sunday.
So, we went to the Chinese Store to buy some food that we're gonna 'cook' & eat for this long weekend. The Chinese store sells Philippine Products like Lucky Me! Pancit Canton and others that we can not buy in Food Basics or even No Frills. By that time of the day around 10am, dad text(ed) mom from Manila, just to inform everyone of us that he safely landed NAIA. Thank God for that. We are awaiting his return here on winter and most of all, we are excited on his 'conversion' into the fold when he comes back. We all pray for that. The next hours of the day, we just prepared for the evening service and so looked forward for another church day the next morning.
Sunday, first time here that i wore a necktie and the reason for it was our general officers meeting in the afternoon. wearing necktie hasn't been my practice ever since i was born. i recall, when i used to work in DIGITEL (not SUN Cellular), my supervisor handed me a box with four neckties. Sort of a "gift" she insisted but eventually she confessed that she wanted me to wear those ties during office days. That means i have to wear tucked-in long sleeves! i never wanted that. wearing tucked-in long sleeves makes me feel sooooo uncomfortable. i'd prefer wearing barong tagalog instead. but then, perspective changed here... it's a "regular" dress code, much more the cold weather here makes every guys wear these... urghh.. outfit. howell... sabi ng mga ka-mang-aawit ko, mukha daw akong driver ng TTC.
it's Kuya Lenner's birthday and as usual, we gathered into Ka Eric's abode. and of course, we ate (again), laugh our hearts out with chit chats, KTV and joke around. howell...

We just received a news from our cousin in Manila that our uncle Donald died. He is the 3rd son (of four boys) in my mom's side, and the second to pass away. My mom is currently talking with her elder sister confirming the matter and asking for other details. Good thing though, my uncle's faith he embraced well, before God took away the last of his breath.
