I'm a Slacker!

There has been way too much going on around here. First of all, last fall, the day after school started, Bobby broke his right foot at work. He got it caught in a track hoe bucket, causing the 4 metatarsal bones in the foot to break. So, he was out for about 3 weeks and getting worker's comp. Then, we had Gavin in the ER for the croup. Then we had him at urgent care for a cut on his eye. In the midst of all this mess, we moved AGAIN! We were literally evicted from our place that we were in simply because of all the issues we had addressed with our landlords, and they were tired of it all. I told them that it was NOTHING we did. So, October 31st was our last day over there. We luckily found a place to live here in Overton, and so far we like it, despite it being right on the main drag. Just recently we found that Caleb and I were having a little trouble seeing. So, we both made visits to the eye dr. to get eye exams and new glasses. Anyway, here are a couple of pics with Caleb and I in our new specs!

Caleb goes to Kindergarten!

Yesterday was probably one of the most heart breaking days in my life. I took my baby boy Caleb to school for the very first time. I was a Basket case! Oh my goodness. I thought it was bad when I took him to preschool, but no! This was ten times worse. I cried all the way to school, and when they took the kids in, and on the way home. He got to ride the bus home and said that was fun. He also got to ride it today. This way I don't have to take him, because the school is 6 miles away from our house. It makes me happy that my Caleb is growing up, and this is an exciting time for all of us. On the other hand, I wish I could keep him home a little longer. Seems like yesterday I was going to the hospital to deliver this beautiful baby boy of mine. I love him so much and so happy he's mine. To Caleb, Mommy and Daddy love you more than words can say. We want what is best for you, and for you to be happy and enjoy going to school and meeting new friends and learning new things! Here are a few pics for your enjoyment. Gavin had to join in the fun too!

Quick trip to what is supposed to be "The Happiest Place on Earth"

The weekend of the 30th of April, Bobby and I decided we needed to take a little family trip. We were unsure of where we were going to go. We tossed ideas around, like going to Cedar or to California. We left Friday night after Bobby got home from work about 11:00. We drove all night to California. Got there about 4:30 Saturday morning. We tried to get a hotel room on priceline, but due to some difficulties with emails, phones going dead, GPS going dead, etc, we got one on Expedia, or so we thought. We got to the place that we were SUPPOSED to stay, and they had no recollection of it in their system. By this time, it's now about 5-ish. We then just said "forget it", and drove to another place which was a Best Western, with a Denny's. We got breakfast, and then Bobby went to go check the place out. It looked good so we checked in at about 6 on Saturday morning. What a MESS!!! Anyway....Saturday we vegged for a bit and then went driving around, got some lunch, drove by the ocean, let Caleb go see the water for a few, and then drove some more. Went back to the hotel and dropped Bobby and Caleb off for a swim. Me and the little guys set out on an adventure to IKEA. Let's say that was indeed an adventure! After we got back, we rested a little more and then went and got some dinner. Sunday rolls around, we are deciding what to do. Should we or shouldn't we go to Disneyland? I said to him that we may as well, since we were in Anaheim and so close, that we should. We took all the kids to Disney on Sunday. As always, it was very busy. We didn't get to do as much as we thought, because we had 3 kids to take around, and had to take turns going on rides. We didn't even get to see the characters. Although, I did see Minnie Mouse from a distance, and also Jessie from Toy Story. It was a pretty fun trip, despite all the problems we had getting a hotel room in the middle of the night, and kids being onery at Disneyland. We will go again, but not till the kids are a little older or else we take a set of grandparents with us.

Time flies when you're having fun!

Considering that we haven't posted for quite sometime. Christmas came and went, kids had a lot of fun. Too much to list. 2 out of 3 kids have had birthdays. Gavin turned 2 on March 8th, and Kyler turned 1 on April 12th. Caleb will be turning 5 here on the 21st of May. I will post some pics of their recent birthdays here. Caleb also went to Kindergarten round-up to get ready to go to school in the fall. Sorry for the way the pics got posted. I don't know what I did wrong, but they are here anyway!
