Gone and done it

I graduated! On May 10th we had a department graduation and Jonny hooded me. It was great!

After graduation we (Mom, Dad, Smook, Rays, Elizabeth) ate at my favorite spot, Tucson Tamales.

Then, since it was already toasty warm here in Tucson, we had a pool party, and it was a cool party. Plus, it held us off until our evening bbq. Hip hip freakin hurray for being done!!!!!!!!!!!

almost got lucky

Me, smiling awkwardly, as others engaged in lovely conversation.

I came across (oh, I'm sorry, I forgot the "t") this picture today and was reminded of lesser/greater times. Jonny had been invited by some of his old friends to go out to eat, and since we had gone out a few times he naively invited me, too. He picked me up and we met up with his friends at some restaurant, maybe IHOP or something judging by this picture (and from being poor folk).

Anyways, we get there and his old friends are actually a bunch of hormonal, giggly gals. We seat seven of us in a little booth (one on the end in a chair, aka the photographer). All of them keep making wanna-be sexy eyes towards Jonny because, well, he's great. Since everyone's hitting on my man, they naturally don't speak to me or make wanna-be sexy eyes towards me, or eye contact in general. As we ventured into the end of the meal, I started feeling a little/lot of love going up my leg. The gal across(t) Jonny was feeling frisky, but she was hitting up my leg, luckly for me because I was feeling lonely! I gotta say, that girl had skills, although there was no way she could compete with my nasty hair and hoodie.

Crazy face

Jonny is out of control. In January he went skydiving with Ashlee and Carleigh for Ashlee's birthday. Everyone kept asking me why I wasn't going. I guess I'm either a wussy or just too sane. I had these horrible visions that we were going to drive up to a little trailer shack in the middle of nowhere and then they were going to get into an old v-dub bug, drive to a little farm and get in a rickety plane. No worries, that wasn't the case.

It was more the case that we drove to the middle of nowhere and then there was a an amusement park where people jumped out of planes. There was a ton of instructors and people jumping. One gent was even in his late 80s. He's cray. Anyways, planes were going non-stop. I think they had five planes. Needless to say, I felt a little relieved, and maybe a little jealous at this point, and also a little annoyed with my initial wussy/saneness that prevented me from wanting to do it. And JJ Ray liked it, evidenced by the following photos:

Backtrack

Let's backtrack shall we? Back to the joyful time of Christmas-y Christmas things and non-school days of early January. Back when we ate real meals and socialized.

Christmas 2011, J loving on boy stuff (whaaa?)
 Shabam!
Long Beach Aquarium!! The last few times we went to Long Beach we wanted to go so badly, but always ended up doing something else. "Else" was usually awesome and made for a great time so I'm not complaining.
 Smookie missing the memo
 Jonny with his dream boat

Birthday golf. Thanks Nana! I couldn't post any other golfing pictures- they were ridiculous!

Who needs clothes anyway?

Last night when we were falling asleep we heard a nice, fun, crackly sound. We had stayed up pretty dang late watching the FINALE OF LOST(!!!!!!) so we were really tired and didn't get up to check what caused this sound. In the morning we saw that the closet bar had snapped, but hadn't completely broken apart. Luckily for me, it was Jonny's side that was all on the floor. I continued my lovely Sunday morning by making homemade rosemary bread, which is delish. This joy was short lived as Jonny came down stairs and told me that my side fell to it's fate as well. There is some good news to this though. We had a survivor. The other good news is that we spent the weekend doing laundry and the closet to be "reverse rainbow" opposed to the previous "rainbow."

I'm thinking the shelf may be the next to go.

In other news, I love, love, love 1 pm church. It truly is the greatest. Would I ever wake up before church to make bread if it started at 9? Never!
