Visitors!!!!

We have had many visitors in the past couple of months and we are LOVIN' it!

We spent some time with Karen Berner and her wonderful little grand-daughter Zoey. Grandma Karen is faithful to visit and take care of her little girl (and we are still enjoying the grocery surprise :)

Then we had a weekend with the senior Collins'. As usual, we spent our time together on scenic walks, eating at restaurants, and kickin' it at a hotel.

This weekend we are hosting Blake and Lindsay, Sandy's newlywed little sis.

We all decided to give a go at the waves; four midwestern first-timers put on quite the show... and Blake can't get enough of the camera. :)

"Of course I know what I'm doing. This...uh.. should be... no... problem...."

No trip for the Young sisters is complete without shopping the latest fashions. Amy (Young), these are for you... and they'll only set you back about 400 bones.

Kathleen, where are you?!!!

Blake and Lindsay head back to Fresno tomorrow. Then we get to see our dear friends Tyler and Jessica Keller on monday. One month after that, the amazing Tyler Young will spend his high school spring break at our pad. We can't wait!!

Unfortunately, the weather has been a little sub-par for these visits. Highs are in the low 60's. ugghh...

;)

On the road again...

Sorry it's been so long!

Since our last post Sandy travelled to Dallas for her first big conference with work. Then she went to Kansas City for Seth and Heather's wedding (congrats!) and then back to Dallas to finish the conference.

I drove to Reno, NV for a pole vault competition and conference, which didn't go over so well for me. Let's just say that anything that could have gone wrong, did. On the positive side, I got to meet one of the U.S. Olympic decathletes and he came over to watch me compete (unfortunately)

I also got to speak to Pete's youth group and spend some quality time with a good friend. I also won a $100 pair of vaulting spikes from Nike, which I was needing. Then I drove to Bend, OR for a quick stop to grab the rest of our things in storage and visit with Caleb.

Two weeks later I rode a bus (yes, the one who's toilet ate my cell phone) to Flagstaff, Az to compete at an indoor track meet at 7,000 ft elevation. Three races; three new p.r.'s. 50.58 secs in the 400m and 9.05 in the 60m high hurdles, followed by 9.04 in the finals. Another half second and we're sittin' pretty.

Tyler and Jessica- I'm so sorry I missed you guys in Flagstaff.

Next week I'll be competing in L.A.

I just found out I have the entire second week of march off (the first real break in 6 months). Ideas anybody? Jeremy, when you get back from Mexico, maybe we can plan a little dip into our adventure funds for that week.

In other news, I made a bed last week.

and Sandy misses her friends and family, so if anyone needs a break from the winter, you always have a place to stay where it's 70 and sunny. ;)
