18 Months of the Remster

Poor Remi. The second child doesn't get near the documentation the first did. But, she has a whole bunch of fun toys at her disposal that Hadley didn't have so there's that. It's hard to believe this midget is 18 months when she is so tiny still. She did grow to 6% in height at her 18-month checkup so she made some progress!

Remi loves playing in the playroom and doing whatever her big sister is doing. This day we did some fun face painting.
Her hair is finally coming in (this pic is from last fall). Unfortunately, she won't let me do anything with it. If I put a headband or a bow on her, she rips it off. If I put a pony in, she rips it out. Even if I brush her hair, she immediately messes it up.
Remi wasn't so sure about the snow at the beginning of winter, but once she started walking (around 15 months) and started sledding it definitely grew on her.
I have a constant shadow around the house, and she really likes to help me clean. Sometimes it takes me a really long time to vacuum because someone thinks it's funny to unplug it over and over. Her other favorite activity is destroying the house. Go figure.
Remi has reached the age where we can't get anything past her. She wants to do what we are doing, eat what we are eating, etc. And she pretty much gets what she wants. How can I resist that face? She never, ever slows down and is a constant ball of energy.
Remi has had a few run-ins with Big Blue over the last few months, and she still isn't sold. She's had a bit of stranger danger lately, but it usually doesn't last long.
She LOVES going out and playing with the toys now that the weather is getting nicer. We ended up getting her a wiggle car too since she loved Hadley's so much, and she will take off on it whenever she has a chance.
The key to getting her to walk at a decent pace is to have her push something. She loves her stroller and will stop every few minutes to check on her baby and adjust her. She is saying more and more words every day. She has some animal noises down, mama, dada, papa, gramma, yaya (Hadley), hi, hello, bye bye, night night, more, drink, and copies a bunch of words we say.
She figured out if we are trying to change her bum or do something else she doesn't want to participate in she hides from us. There have been a few times where it took me and Hadley a few minutes to find her because it is the only time in her life she is quiet.
She loves putting on everyone else's stuff. She is a good eater still and loves yogurt, cereal (especially drinking the milk out of the bowl), eggs, cheese, potatoes, and ravioli. She does not have much of a sweet tooth but does love M&Ms.
Her favorite for some reason are Hadley's shoes. Usually she walks around in them but today her arms seemed like a good option. She always cracks me up.
We were at the grocery store one day, and for some reason she was being such a goof. A bunch of her teeth decided to come in at once, so she has had a bit of a rough few months.
She has become quite attached to her blanket and one day decided this polar bear is her love. She drags him around everyone which is funny because he's about half her size. She has to have her 2 blankets and her bear when she goes to sleep.
This little girl keeps us on our toes, and we wouldn't want it any other way. Love our midget!

Easter 2016

Easter is Hadley's FAVORITE holiday. I think it's hilarious. We started off the celebrations at my cousin's annual family Easter party the weekend before. Remi just likes doing whatever the big kids do.
All of the big kids had to go across the street while the eggs were being hidden. Remi took advantage.
 Ready to find eggs!
They love their Papa!
Savannah had picked out dresses for all the girls for their Christmas presents and wanted them to all match on Easter! Even Remi joined the fun.
The night before Easter we decorated some eggs at our friend's house. We tried the shaving cream method, and it was pretty fun.
Then it was time for the big day! Hadley was excited to see that the Easter bunny likes Nike stuff too.
We got the girls a BIG swing set for Easter, so Jonas and Uncle Zach spent most of the day putting it together. Remi loves playing with Bo.
Hadley was so excited when they got it done enough to swing!!
When Remi woke up from her nap she was pretty stoked too!
By the time we got it all done we only had a few minutes to play. Remi would just launch herself down the slide so I had to be right there to catch her.
Then it was off the Grandma and Papa's for another egg hunt!
A very good day with our girls!

St. George

Hadley had her first competition on the road! We were able to leave Remi home with Jonas so we could make the trip all about Hadley. They had these cute signs to hang on the door when we got to the hotel. I love her studio!
We made it to Cedar City before we stopped to get some food. I went to get Hadley out and noticed something on the door of my brand new car...Hadley wrote neatly in crayon. Luckily my mom got it right out. When I was asking her about it she said, "I didn't do it mom! My arm did it!"
We got to the hotel right at check-in time and about 3 minutes later were at the pool. I wasn't complaining!
Hadley was so happy when one of her dance friends go there to play.
We drug her out of the pool to go get some dinner and a little shopping (all for the girls of course).
We got a treat on the way home. She thinks its way cool to eat ice cream in bed at hotels :).
The next morning was competition time! The girls were all a little crazy and really just wanted to be at the swimming pool. I couldn't blame them! They did awesome though and got 1st in dance and 2nd in hip hop.
As soon as awards were over we were back at the pool!
She swam the rest of the day Saturday and then we had to squeeze in a few hours on Sunday morning before we left. It was fun to have a trip that was all about Hadley and where I could actually lay in the sun for a bit!

Christmas 2015

I just love the holiday season. Hadley was so into it this year, and I knew Remi would at least like opening presents :).
Hadley had a dance performance out in South Salt Lake, so we headed out to the Tree of Life. It was freezing, and Hadley was pretty bummed it wasn't a rainbow tree, but it was pretty cool to see.
Hadley's preschool did a little program at a nursing home. They did a nativity scene, sang some Christmas songs, and then passed out treats (sugar-free I'm sure). Hadley was the head angel and took her position very seriously, in true Hadley form.
Remi is always just happy to be along for the ride!
The week of Christmas we had all the neighbor girls over to decorate some Christmas trees and eat pizza. These girls fight as much as they play and just crack me up!
We had our traditional Rudolph pancakes for breakfast on Christmas Eve morning. Maybe next year Remi won't sleep through the fun!
All set up and ready to go for Christmas morning!!
Hadley freaked out when she saw Santa had come, and she "got just wanted I wanted!!"
We had to wake Remi up after a while, and then she was all over the new toys.
Once we were all up we called my parents to head over. Hadley had been eyeing up a huge present at my mom's with her name on it, and she was so excited to finally get a wiggle car. She has been asking for one for months. Yes, both her and Remi ride it in the house. I can't blame them.
The wiggle car was her favorite present, but the magformers are the thing we play with every single day. She loves them so much I even had to buy her some more.
Her fancy hair clips from Santa.
Our awesome attempts at a family picture. I love these people more than anything in the world!!

Family Pics 2015

We decided to switch things up a bit this year and do our pictures downtown Ogden. We were trying to do the salt flats, but with Jonas' surgery our schedule was a bit crazy. We have a good friend who is a professional photographer and took these shots for us. I love them all!

Unfortunately, by the end the girls wouldn't cooperate to get a picture with just the two of them, so this is the best we got!
