Poor Remi. The second child doesn't get near the documentation the first did. But, she has a whole bunch of fun toys at her disposal that Hadley didn't have so there's that. It's hard to believe this midget is 18 months when she is so tiny still. She did grow to 6% in height at her 18-month checkup so she made some progress!
Remi loves playing in the playroom and doing whatever her big sister is doing. This day we did some fun face painting.
Her hair is finally coming in (this pic is from last fall). Unfortunately, she won't let me do anything with it. If I put a headband or a bow on her, she rips it off. If I put a pony in, she rips it out. Even if I brush her hair, she immediately messes it up.
Remi wasn't so sure about the snow at the beginning of winter, but once she started walking (around 15 months) and started sledding it definitely grew on her.
I have a constant shadow around the house, and she really likes to help me clean. Sometimes it takes me a really long time to vacuum because someone thinks it's funny to unplug it over and over. Her other favorite activity is destroying the house. Go figure.
Remi has reached the age where we can't get anything past her. She wants to do what we are doing, eat what we are eating, etc. And she pretty much gets what she wants. How can I resist that face? She never, ever slows down and is a constant ball of energy.
Remi has had a few run-ins with Big Blue over the last few months, and she still isn't sold. She's had a bit of stranger danger lately, but it usually doesn't last long.
She LOVES going out and playing with the toys now that the weather is getting nicer. We ended up getting her a wiggle car too since she loved Hadley's so much, and she will take off on it whenever she has a chance.
The key to getting her to walk at a decent pace is to have her push something. She loves her stroller and will stop every few minutes to check on her baby and adjust her. She is saying more and more words every day. She has some animal noises down, mama, dada, papa, gramma, yaya (Hadley), hi, hello, bye bye, night night, more, drink, and copies a bunch of words we say.
She figured out if we are trying to change her bum or do something else she doesn't want to participate in she hides from us. There have been a few times where it took me and Hadley a few minutes to find her because it is the only time in her life she is quiet.
She loves putting on everyone else's stuff. She is a good eater still and loves yogurt, cereal (especially drinking the milk out of the bowl), eggs, cheese, potatoes, and ravioli. She does not have much of a sweet tooth but does love M&Ms.
Her favorite for some reason are Hadley's shoes. Usually she walks around in them but today her arms seemed like a good option. She always cracks me up.
We were at the grocery store one day, and for some reason she was being such a goof. A bunch of her teeth decided to come in at once, so she has had a bit of a rough few months.
She has become quite attached to her blanket and one day decided this polar bear is her love. She drags him around everyone which is funny because he's about half her size. She has to have her 2 blankets and her bear when she goes to sleep.
This little girl keeps us on our toes, and we wouldn't want it any other way. Love our midget!
