Summer Vacation to Wisconsin June 25 ~ July 1 Packed to the brim and ready to head out to the Wisconsin Dells, our first stop on our adventure.  We stayed at the Wilderness Resort in the Wisconsin Dells for 2 nights.  The Wilderness had 4 indoor and outdoor waterparks, an arcade with a ropes course above it, many restaurants, ice cream shops, candy shops, mini golf, and more!  We kept very busy during our stay there.  This stop may have been our kids favorite part of the Wisconsin vacation.  We got to our hotel and immediately hit the waterparks.  Some of the slides weren't for the faint of heart.  They were pretty intense.  There was a lot of screaming, by mom and Clara especially.  We tried some of the outdoor water parks too, although the weather was cooler during our stay so we didn't stay outdoors too long.    A highlight/memorable experience for the kids was trying the ropes course that was in the resort.  It was three st...

On June 23 & 24, Clara, Eli, and Erin traveled to Burke, SD to spend time with the Lengkeek crew at the Buryanek Bay Bunkhouse.  (Jon and Olivia had to stay back for work and babysitting).  Shirley and Den had planned to get the family together to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at the Bunkhouse this summer.  When Den passed away in January, Shirley decided she still wanted to have a celebration! So we all met and stayed together near the Missouri River, about 20 minutes outside of Burke.    We had fun playing games, chatting, and of course, eating!  Clara and Eli with Braden, Henry, and Nixon.
