A rewind through August... We are finally seeing the final touches of our landscaping coming together.  We had the outdoor fireplace installed and had our first round of s'mores. Elijah loves having the swing set up so he can play in his sandbox and swing!  The kids always love a play day at Aunt Rose's house.  We were able to meet baby Lily (our friend Brianna's baby) and play with her as well. Crazy Elijah. We had two birthdays to celebrate at the Engbers, Remi and Olivia.  Sarah made cakes and cupcakes that fit each of their personalities perfectly.   We were all ready and excited for the big solar eclipse.  Grandma Syl had even bought us some shades so we would go blind while looking directly at the sun. :)  (I may have scared the girls slightly that they could have permanent eye damage if they weren't careful!) Ten Mile Lake 2017

So excited to be heading out for another lake vacation.  This was our first year pulling a boat (Grandpa Engber's fishing boat), which increased our space for packing and gave us a little more leg room in the truck.   We arrived on Sunday this year instead of our usual Saturday arrival.  After getting everything unpacked, we enjoyed some s'mores and an evening boat ride. The sound of the boat almost putting these two to sleep. It never gets old seeing our lake again each year. Waving at the loons. Elijah loved driving the boat.  In fact, he insisted he drive the boat each time he road in it. Feeling the wind in our hair. :) Clara's turn at driving. I think I went overboard on sunset pictures this year.  They are just so good each and every night. Another new and beautiful summer day.  Time to play on the beach and in the water. Grandpa ...
