I thought it was time for another Eli update since he is now official 1 1/2 years old and learning so many new and fun things! I can't get over how different he is from the girls at this age.  He is just all boy.  He loves to be rough and wrestle and throw things.  His favorite toys are cars, trucks, tractors, trains, and anything else that goes ZOOM.  If a big truck or machine passes by, Eli notices it and pauses to examine it.  (The girls could've cared less about this sort of thing!)  Eli also loves building with blocks and legos.  But even more than building, he loves to crash down anything someone else builds.  (This isn't always very popular with his sisters.) Eli is still a very sweet, good boy.  He is patient and does well with being carted around wherever.  He is good in the car and stroller.   For the most part I would say he is easy-going.  However, he is also a go-getter.  Once we let him down...

July 2016

Our July started out with Clara learning to ride her bike without training wheels.  We found she could balance herself and start better on her little bike so we have started with that one.  Our next goal is to move up to the bigger bike.  Eli enjoyed running after his sister and cheering her on. Leah and Trav thought they could beat us in a patriotic food contest, but we think we won.  Here was the girls' entry (or at least they considered it their entry because they ate it...I take responsibility for making it!) Beat that Leah and Trav!  Jon's breakfast feast (once again, made by me...) Jon was on call, so I took the kids to meet some friends at a 4th of July parade.  The girls were pleased to get a bag full of candy again.  Eli did well watching the parade and having a little snack. Our little patriotic dude Trying to get a good 4th of July picture.  Can you tell who our trouble makers are...
