1st Day of Kindergarten!

Olivia started her first day of Kindergarten on Wednesday.  She was feeling very excited and happy to be starting school again.  On Tuesday night we had an open house at the school and were able to meet Olivia's teacher, Mrs. Byl.  Olivia will go to school full days on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the first semester.  She will then go full days five days a week for the second semester.     Wednesday morning before leaving for school.  See how excited she is?! All the parents and students of RVCS met together for a kick-off chapel.  Each student was announced and walked out with their class and teacher to the classroom.  We told Olivia she could just walk to the front when they called her name, but she decided to run to the front instead. :)  Clara and I were happy to have some time at home to ourselves and get a few things done before we picked Olivia back up!  Mrs. Byl sent ...

Wrapping up our summer break

Here are a few summer activities that have been keeping us busy... We had our Ralley in the Valley parade on Saturday.  The girls and I walked half way until we found the grandpas and grandmas.  Then we decided to stop and watch since we were all hot! Olivia thought it was great that one of the floats was throwing out stuffed animals! Clara liked the candy best. The girls in their super hero capes walking behind the Hegg float.  (Jon was going to walk with us too, but got called in to the ER at the last minute) Stopping at the end of the bike trail to feed the horses.  Clara trying to be a princess. :) Out to eat with grandpa Jim for his birthday.
