We had another beautiful start to the day on Thursday with bright blue skies and a peaceful, calm lake.  Jon, Livi, and I went on a canoe ride.  Olivia insisted she sit on the seat at the front of the canoe and she shouted out "row", "row" to daddy :) Olivia doing her favorite thing at the lake: swimming Jon, Nick, and Bryant going out on a boat ride.  The lake is a great place for bocce ball with all kinds of fun obstacles to go around. Unfortunately, later Thursday afternoon Olivia started to feel "yucky" and she had a rough evening/night with the stomach flu.  Thankfully she was able to sleep it off and enjoyed another great lake day on Friday.

The day started off cloudy. Olivia decided it was a good day to sleep in! Clara is a morning girl. We stayed in the cabin for the first part of the morning.  Olivia and grandma doing an activity book. Some more cloudy day activities:  Play-Doh and a trip to the candy store in Walker! Then the sun came out, so it was time to get in the water again for Olivia. Clara hanging out with grandma Linda. Olivia also decided it would be a good day to try fishing.  Daddy would cast her line out and she would reel it in slowly. Waiting patiently for a bite. Look mom, we caught a "sunflower fish." (aka: sunfish) Clara cooling off with a bath at the end of another busy day.

We had another beautiful day at the lake.  The weather here really could not be much better, especially after the hot and humid days we had at home last week.  I love having warm sunny days and then cool nights for sleeping with very little humidity.  Now that I just spent the first part of this post talking about weather I am feeling somewhat old, so I will just get on with the pictures. Olivia thought Manny might like to start his day with a boat ride. Dad let Olivia drive the boat and honk the horn which she thought was just great. I was slightly nervous of Olivia's driving skills and must have been on the look-out for other boats here :) Olivia and Clara 'playing'.  Although, it looks like someone isn't quite ready to share her toys! We had another beautiful day at the lake today.  Olivia loves the water and could play there all day! Uncle Connor throwing her up per her request :) Olivia thought it would be a good idea to take some pictures of 'other people' at the lake...not just HER! A perfect Sunday at the lake.

We arrived at Ten Mile Lake this afternoon for a week of vacation.  The ride up went as well as can be expected.  Livi and Clara took turns sleeping, so while one was sleeping I could entertain the other.  I did about hyperventilate while shh shhh shhh' ing, but our eardrums were not burning by the end of the trip which equals a success! Welcome to Happiness! Livi went straight for the sand and lake as soon as mom and dad let her. This little show she was giving us all just called for a picture to be taken.
