My picture taking has been lacking lately, which I have concluded is mostly due to the fact that we stay inside during the cold days and I simply don't take as many pictures.  However, as I was cleaning out my memory card on my little camera I did find a few pictures of Olivia's daily activity. She loves to find the binoculars every time we go to grandpa and grandma Engbers. Pretending to sleep with daddy (and Handy Manny of course). Trying to exercise with mom's shoes.  About 20 minutes worth of reading material.  The girl LOVES to read! Reading to Manny and Braman the Bear. (and making sure they stay warm with a blankie :) The last 2 days have been wonderful, warm, and SUNNY!  Olivia couldn't wait to be back outside playing in the snow.

Ultrasound Day!

We had the big ultrasound today, meaning many things: 1 - I am half-way through this pregnancy already!  2 - We were able to SEE our precious little baby for the first time and check out all the amazing development that has taken place already!  We praise God for a healthy ultrasound report and all looks well and normal at this point.  3 - Olivia was right all along, and she is indeed having a little SISTER! The profile picture  And some fun 3D pictures! Baby girl was moving the entire time and liked to put her hands by her face.  Lit tle legs and feet!

The ABC's of Liv

Olivia has been very interested in her ABC's lately.  She likes to know what letter different words and names start with.  Or if she sees a letter she recognizes she will point it out to us.  I decided to go through the alphabet with her the other day and see what word she came up with for each letter.  Here were the results: A - Abby Cadabby (sesame street character) B - Bon C - Cat D - Daddy E - Elephant F - Fox G - Grandma H - Hat I - Ice Cream (was there every any doubt) J - Jump Rope K - Kite L - Leah M - Mommy N - Nick O - ME!!!! (meaning Olivia) P - Puppy Q - Queen R - Rose S - Scott T - Travis AND Tigger U - Umbrella (she needed a little help with U,V,X,Y) V - Vase W - Wolfpack (grandpa's team...she often finds the W on our Wolfpack shirts) X - Piano - meaning xylophone.  She has a picture of this on her abc cards. Y - Yellow Z - Zebra

New Year

I decided a new year was a good time to make another new change to the blog.  I decided to get rid of the "categories" on the blog since instead of organizing my thoughts for posts, it instead stressed me out to not have something to blog about in each category often enough.  In addition, I decided before baby #2 comes I really have to get caught up on some photo books of Olivia.  Resulting in not as much time to blog and more of my "free time" spent working on that!  Speaking of "free time"...I have been lacking in that lately as Olivia has now pretty much eliminated her afternoon nap.  Now if I could just transfer some of her energy my way I think we would both benefit :) Now onto the important stuff: Pictures. We went to the Christmas Eve service at church and then headed to Grandpa Kevin and Grandma Linda and Susie's house (we can't forget Susie -the dog- according to Livi) for delicious food and fun presents! Another Baby Update

I had another appointment last week to "check on baby" (as we tell Olivia).  So here is a little info: *I am about 18 weeks along. *Baby #2 is an active little girl/boy.  While trying to find the heart beat, we heard him/her squirming all around and not cooperating very well in being listened to :)  (which is actually hint #1 in why I am beginning to think it may be another girl.)  *Baby's heartbeat was indeed strong and beating at 155 beats per minute. (possibly hint #2 of another girl, although I am not sure I buy into all that it's a boy if the heart-rate is slow, a girl if it's fast thing). *I am still struggling with some nausea, light-headedness, and lack of energy...but I am getting used to the fact that this is just the reality of pregnancy for me!  I will put up with it as long as I need to :) *I am also starting to feel some little kicks!  During my pregnancy with Olivia, I had braxton-hicks contra...
