Here is another growing "baby bump" picture, although once again I feel like the picture does not quite show the true extent of it. I feel much bigger than this picture makes me look! On a side note, Jon and I have been watching "Where in the World is Matt Lauer" on the today show, and today he was in the Netherlands. We both decided that this looks like a very cool place to visit someday. Most of the Dutch terms they used and items that they showed we could relate to pretty well. And of course the tulip fields and windmills were pretty amazing. . .remind me why our ancestors left there?? just kidding :) We actually plan to visit our own little Dutch community (Pella) this weekend for Tulip Time. We hope to watch Bryant march with the Sioux Falls Christian marching band on Friday. Hopefully the rain stays away!!! Until then it's back to work and studying for us.
Today was finally nice enough to be outside in shorts and a t-shirt!!! I had forgotten how much I missed summer and getting out of the house or car and feeling WARM instead of cold! It's funny how a warm day causes everyone to come out of their houses. About everyone in Iowa City was either biking, jogging, walking, or golfing today. Jon got his rotation schedule which will begin in July. He has his surgery rotation right off the bat...which is actually what he wanted, but may be a bit challenging as well! He will be doing his OB rotation when the baby is due-supposedly they are the most leniant in giving time off when a spouse is in labor!!! Jon tells me I am finally starting to look pregnant-my belly is really starting to pop out. I will have to post another picture again sometime soon. I think that's all the updates I have for now! Have a good week!

Engbers Update

Jon and I have a pretty non-eventful weekend, which is a good thing in my opinion! I have been feeling pretty tired after working quite a bit the past week and I am ready to rest. We plan to watch a movie tonight and then watch the Masters golf tournament this weekend. Jon is on a little break from studying tonight. He had a test today and will have one more regular test in the next two weeks and then comes FINALS! Yesterday we had our first "tornado warning" of the storm season. Jon and I think they blew the tornado whistles a little prematurely, but after the tornado they had here 2 years ago in April, I guess they don't want to take any chances. Baby girl Engbers is still doing well. . .kicking/flipping/doing cartwheels a lot! I have been having fun looking at baby girl items on the internet. I have not, however, bought a little girl outfit yet! Maybe this weekend :) Here is another growing belly picture:

It's a .........

GIRL!!! We had an ultrasound today and found out we are having a baby girl!!! We were both surprised, but very very excited and happy :) Everything looked good on the ultrasound. We saw the heart, spine, kidneys, bladder, and much more. Our little girl moved around like crazy during the ultrasound, making it hard to get pictures at times..haha. She already weighs about 9 ounces, which is right on track for how far along I am! I also found out that I have gained some more weight and am now over the 100 pound mark...woohoo!!! Thanks so much for all of your prayers for me, Jon, and our little girl. We witnessed even more today what a little miracle God has given us!
