Little Lady and her Antics

Someone found the cake and decided to smear herself in it. Luckily she did this outside.

Pudding anyone?

Our favorite. Who doesn't love a sleeping child?

For Mothers Day I made this for myself. John helped - more than he'd planned. I've wanted something like this for a while and I was so happy I was finally able to get it done!

Preschool Graduation

Drew graduated from preschool! His best little friend Denaeyer is in the picture on the left. They have so much fun together and love each other. Miss Rose Mary is their teacher, she is the sweetest teacher and loves all of the kids so much. Madison also graduated up to the four year old preschool. I didn't get a picture of her last day of school for some reason.

This is what the kids gave their teachers as a gift at the end of the year. They did nothing but watch, but they were so proud of how they turned out! It only took a few hours of work!

Canal Jumping and the Power of the Computer

Not only is everyone on a septic system here, but irrigation canals are everywhere! One hot day we saw this canal running and decided to play. Drew's friend Denayere came to play with us. Drew didn't want to get anything more than his feet wet, even though Denayere was, but he had fun floating things down and watching them come out of the "tunnel".

Sweet Jocelyn. She loves the alphabet computer "game" and will play it for an hour. One day I walked in and she was standing like this. This is the stance she gets whenever she's peed herself. Yep, she peed everywhere but didn't want to stop her game. Oh how we love the power of the computer, even at this early of an age.

Pumping, Make-up and BBQing

Everybody in town is on a septic tank system. They recommend that you empty them every three to five years. The people before us had it emptied when they moved in, seven years previously! We were about six inches from the top. I'm not sure how long it would take to fill six inches, but it seemed to me like we emptied just in time!

Madison snuck into the make-up. Enough said.

For Mothers Day we did a bbq. We decided to try kabobs. We had never done them before and we think they turned out well! We pre-cooked the meat so we wouldn't have to worry about uncooked parts.

Babies, presents, mowing, biking and the eclipse

Jocelyn loves little Jordan, sometimes a little too much! She loves to hug him, which to him feels more like suffocation. She also loves to see his eyes, which probably feels as though someone is trying to gouge out his eyeballs to him. Thankfully she loves him and she isn't trying to intentionally kill him.

Madison needed a new bike, actually just a bike, but we went ahead and got her a new bike. Her birthday is in June but who wants to wait until summer is half over to get their new bike? We decided to give it to her early and let her enjoy it longer. As is common with our children, we got no fabulous reaction. She just started at it and then smiled and said thanks. You would've had no clue she was super excited except for the fact that she couldn't wait until we got it outside for her to ride!

Jocelyn was pushing her popper around behind daddy while he mowed and it was so adorable. Unfortunately, I didn't get the camera ready until she was losing interest.

We decided to go for a walk/bike ride and I loved that John looked like a daddy duck with all his ducklings following after!

I didn't prep for the eclipse and we ended up having no glasses to look through to see it. I quickly googled (who doesn't love google?) ways to see the eclipse and we ended up making viewers out of cereal boxes. It wasn't fabulous, but it was fun for the kids to play with. We're already excited to go to Idaho to see the full eclipse!

Leveling the Yard

The backyard had a fence around a rather large garden area (the dirt in the middle) right in the middle of the yard. Our yard actually goes back to the purple tree in the center. We decided to move the garden to the north (far right of picture) and level out the old garden area. John pulled all the old fence posts out and we had a guy with a fence post hole auger come and make new holes so we could fence in the entire yard. We also had him level out the old garden area so that at some point we can put in grass and have one big yard instead of three sections!

After the zoo and picking up Grandma we all went to City Creek as it had just opened. It is not someplace that you should go if you aren't planning on shopping. There were so many stores that we wanted to go shopping in, but we were just doing a walk-through. Afterwards we walked around Temple Square and enjoyed all the amazing flowers! The kids were running from planter to planter enjoying all the varieties and colors. On the way home Jocelyn wouldn't quit whining so we gave her some lotion. A few minutes later the smell of the lotion was so much stronger than I thought it should be that I turned around to see why. Jocelyn covered herself from top to bottom in lotion. She wasn't too happy when I took it away from her!

Four Generation Pictures

Great Grandpa Fred and Grandma Tobi flew in to drop GG Fred off to visit with Jimmy and Janet. We were able to pick them up from the airport and get some great pictures! Jordan was one month old!

Janet got to meet our newest little man.

Jocelyn finally woke up from her nap and was able to get a four generation picture as well.

To The Zoo

Jocelyn was TERRIFIED of this bronze gorilla. She wanted nothing to do with it and wouldn't let us get a picture.

Grandma Tobi was coming into town to drop off Great-Grandpa Fred for a visit with Jimmy and Janet. We were the lucky ones that got to pick her up from the airport. Before we went to pick her up we went and played at the zoo. We got there a couple of weeks before their new exhibit opened though so we'll have to go back again. John didn't love going to the zoo because he didn't get to enjoy looking at all the animals, he was constantly counting to four to make sure none of the kids had disappeared! I was running around like a crazy lady with Jordan trying to get him to eat and changing him when he had more than his diaper could manage. All in all, the kids had a great time and John and I survived!
