Saying a little prayer

This was taken at Semmes Murphy while we were waiting on the doctor. We are in the middle of lots of follow up appointments and he was just saying a little prayer. Dr. Mullbougher checked him over during this appointment and decided we needed to have an mri done to get a better look at the spine. We have known that Bryant was born without a tailbone since he was only a few months old, but we had to wait to see if any problems would come out of it. The risk are problems with bladder and bowel, which we had to wait until potty training time. We have had some issues so the mri will help us to determine if it is a behavior issue or a result of tethered nerve endings. The mri showed us that he does have tethered nerve endings and that could be some of our problem. Surgery is a possible option down the road, but for now we are going to treat it as a behavior issue. This little guy is so amazing and has been through so much. God continues to challenge us and He always provides. I just have to remind myself that He is in control and it will all work out to His glory.

Eye Surgery

The end of August, Bryant had eye surgery to repair the weak muscles in his left eye. We stayed the night in Memphis the night before and we were at the hospital early in the morning. Dr. Hoehn did his procedure and it took less that an hour and he was back to us. Letting him roll away from us to head to surgery always makes us so nervous. In recovery it took him awhile to wake up and he was very sick on the way home. The surgery was a success and his eye does not turn in much at all. We have had three follow up appointments and we are going to wear glasses again to help continue to strengthen the eye. Glad to have this behind us and hopefully he will not have to have eye surgery again.

Showing us his muscles while we were waiting

He was getting a little goofy at this point

Makes me cry every time

Too sweet! Waiting on him to wake up

A week after surgery his eye was only slightly red.

Dancing Begins

Thanks to Aunt Dale for her super cute outfit!

Showing me her dancing pose, ha!

Napping after dancing

Lucy Kate started dance lessons in August and she loves it. Mrs. Becky is her teacher, once a week, with 5 other little girls and she looks forward to it every time.
