Great Visit, Mom and Dad's 40th Anniversary, and a Birthday Celebration

We love when Aunt Dale and Uncle Sonny come for a visit, it is such a treat for me! They were able to stay a couple of nights and we stayed so busy. While they were here I had to take them to Oxbow, my favorite place to eat in Clarksdale! We went shopping for Lucy Kate's dancing attire, did some swimming, celebrated Mom and Dad's 40th Anniversary and Aunt Dale's birthday. It was so busy and we enjoyed every minute of it. Hopefully we will see them in November!

1st day of school

Bryant and Lucy Kate started Pre-3 in August at Lee Academy. Four days a week, 8-11:30 is perfect for them and they love it so much! 18 kids in the class, one teacher and two assistance is a bit of an overload for Bryant, so we are working through some things. I love the conversations we have on the way home from school. The way they see things and interrupt the day is hilarious! The question of the month is "Mom what does _____ start with?" All day long with everything in our environment, it makes me crazy but I know they have to learn.

My 1st Triathlon

So exciting that Rachel and I completed our first triathlon! It was so much fun and we are itching to do another one. We went over the night before and had a great dinner and I was able to have a great visit with a dear friend. Rachel's husband, Jason went with us and he helped us make sure we were on task for the whole event. To top off such a wonderful day we both placed 3rd in our age group.

Charles and his hunting dogs! I insisted that we not get another dog, since we already have three. As you can see I obviously had no say so in the matter. The kids adore her and she is extremely smart, possibly the smartest hunting dog he has ever had. Welcome to the family Foxy, dog #4
