We were busy in June. Busy for us, anyway. Us homebodies were on the move for once! It was craziness.
Hannah went to day camp for a week and I hung out at home with the littles.
We made cookies one day after she CRIED and CRIED for her sister. Who knew they were so close, what with all the fighting and all…
Rebekah was gorgeous as always, here with sparkly kitty ears.
My favorite picture of Little Man- I finally managed to capture that award-winning smile he flashes constantly! He enjoyed the extra attention, but he did miss his biggest sister. I’m convinced he kept looking around for her.
Camp was to help her and ME get used to the idea of her being gone all day at school. (I am pitiful.) Also, I learned how to pack better lunches. There was a larger learning curve than I had expected on that front…
Also in June, Isaac is officially on the move! He is crawling a good 2-3 months earlier than big sisters. Not a surprise in the slightest! Obviously our lives look completely different now that he can follow us places…and disappear down the hallway to unknown whereabouts :)
He LOVES to go into the girls’ room. There is always something good on the floor.
“What?”
Second favorite destination, the bathroom, much to Mommy’s dismay. We are learning to keep the door shut at all times.
Hannah also went to a morning Tae Kwon Do camp another week. I decided to sign Rebekah up for a “Wee Camp” closeby. I opted to go with one run by the YMCA. The counselors were all fabulous and she had a blast. I’m so glad I decided to do it. Since we are a non-preschooling family, it’s nice to do things like this every now and then for the kids and for me.
One of the best parts of June was that we got to spend time with Yura, who we hadn’t seen in 3 years. He had never met Rebekah or Isaac. (I was massively, ie 8 months, pregnant with Bek when he left the US for the last time.) After seeing him yearly, and for 6 solid weeks, for so long, it was tough to wait a whole 3 years! He loved spending time with the kids. The girls adored him :) He is like a brother to me, which works out well, b/c he’s a fantastic uncle to my babies!
He was very sweet and humored them with much book reading. Love hearing that accent reading the All-American Berenstein Bears!
