THANKSGIVING IN DENVER!

This year was Evan's turn for a special trip with us. (last year Isaac joined John & I to our rewards trip to Hawaii. This year we are saving the money instead of going on a trip hosted by John's boss & took a mini trip instead). It has been way too long since we had been to Denver, so it was perfect. Evan had so much fun with his cousins, in fact, I think we only saw him when it was time to eat, wipe his nose, or tuck him into bed! We got to enjoy turkey dinner with family, take the young kids to the North Pole to ride on carnival rides, go to the flight museum & see a x-wing fighter (star wars crazy kids like that kinds of stuff....as evan does!). Not only did we get to leave our rainy seattle weather behind us, but we got to enjoy lots of outdoor time in the nearly 70 degree sunshine & 32 degree mountain air. Thanks to my sister & family for hosting us & letting us have so much fun with you!!

i forgot to post halloween pictures!? i'm way behind, but here we go...

Happy Halloween 2011!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB!!

Happy Birthday! Jacob is 5 and that means we no longer have anybody or anything close to a "baby" in our home :(
I have to say though, I'm am enjoying every bit of these boys getting older. We have great conversations and we can play together without all the extra gear. It is fun!

Of course, our house is rules by "BOYS" so we get all the gross things that
A) John teaches them
B) They learn from the bus/school
C) They are close enough to pick up on each other's silly behavior & get away with it

So for Jacob's bday, we took a ferry to the Museum of Flight with our family. It was great to have the party on the boat. Pizza on the way, Cake on the way back. Easy clean up and it had to be quick!

As it has become tradition, Papa takes us to a movie on Jacob's birthday.
This year we saw "Puss In Boots."
SO CUTE and he had the theatre all to ourselves! What a party.

THE GREAT WOLF LODGE!

Thanks to John's extreme hard work this summer and a wonderful boss, we got to enjoy a little

R &R as a family.

The lodge had trick-or-treating, PJ story time, a dance party, arcade, treats, food, and bunkbeds in the room. We had a great weekend as a family. It was nice that we got to do everything together, which is pretty rare.

Waiting way too long to get a seat in the restaurant.

We enjoyed 2 full days at the indoor waterpark. It was the perfect temp inside, the water was clean, and the kids had a blast. What more can we ask for?

Enjoying Fall. Jacob's preschool went to explore the local pumpkin patch. We got to jump in the hay, pet animals, go through the corn maze. He is loving his preschool experience & I am enjoying it with him as much as possible.
