Last Saturday November 24 Daniel turned 7 years old. He had been waiting for this day with much excitement so we decided that Saturday would be Daniel’s day. He decided what kind of food we ate, what kind of cake we got, and what game he and the rest the siblings would play. He got a bike for his birthday so John took him out and rode with him.
He decided that he wanted to eat pizza and the cake had to be a white cake with icecream and a big number seven candle. Daniel is really smart kid he now how to read and hi is doing really good in school.
We love him so much y we are so happy to have him as part of our family.
Feliz CumpleaƱos Daniel!

Thanksgiving 2012

IMG_1068IMG_1069IMG_1071IMG_1074
We are so thankful for all the blessings Heavenly Father has given us. We are grateful for our kids; for our health; for the opportunity to be able to live in this beautiful country; and the most important thing: the gospel.
We had a really good Thanksgiving meal. We enjoyed the chance to be together as a family. The funny thing is that we’ve been in different places for Thanksgiving in the past 3 years. Who knows where we’ll be next year… The most important thing though, is that we can be together.

Young Women in Excellence

Today was Young Women in Excellence. Michele worked on her Faith project. She did a very good job. One of the projects that Michele did was to plant a seed. Another project that she did was giving a talk in sacrament meeting she gave the talk as her value project for faith. She also made one more little project which was the block with the picture of Jesus on it. Every girl in young women's had to write a poem about themselves. Each girl also made there own poster with pictures of the projects they had done throughout this year the posters got hung up around the room. We are really proud of Michele, and we are already starting to help her plan for future projects.

Halloween 2012

Here are some pictures of this year's Halloween. Last Saturday we had a trunk-or-treat at church. There was a chilli cook off, corn dogs, and cotton candy. We had lots of fun and the weather was wonderful. We carved some pumpkins and learned that here in Las Vegas, its not a great idea to carve your pumpkins too early because they go rotten within 3 days. Next year, we'll know to carve our pumpkins on Halloween Day. Last Night we took the two little kids to one of the neighborhoods close to us to trick-or-treat. They enjoyed seeing all the decorations and got some good candy. Again, the weather was great. I was excited to keep going trick-or-treating but the kids ran to much and got tired very quickly. They decided they wanted to come home and count their candy. John didn't seem to object too much to the idea, and in fact, decided that we should go home. I found out later that the Jazz were playing and John just wanted to get home to watch the game. The kids had a good Halloween.

David's 5th Birthday

Last Friday, September 28 was David's 5th birthday. This year he started kindergarten. He enjoys going to school every day; especially because he gets to ride the bus. He's been learning how to write his name. He is really grateful for everything. Last week I woke up early to make some pancakes. He came down, I give him breakfast, and he said,"Thanks Mom. You made my favorite food." I enjoy spending time with him. I miss him when he is at school. He likes to play tic-tac-toe, so I made one for him and he loved it. I'm so happy he chose us to be his family. We love him so much.

Happy Birthday David!
