Flying Times

First of all we got LOTS of Valentine's cards in our email and we can't thank you guys enough, we loved them all!!!

So lots of you commented on the giant plane I showed you, it is this:

"The Super Guppy is a large, wide-bodied US cargo aircraft used for ferrying outsized cargo components. It was the successor to the Pregnant Guppy, the first of the Guppy aircraft produced by Aero Spacelines, Inc. Five were built in two variants, both of which were colloquially referred to as the "Super Guppy."" -Wikipedia

I think it would be perfect for Aire Ruby's lineup of planes!!

Look how easy it is to load, Mango and the substantial dogs would have no trouble getting in there!!

Mom and Dad went there because Dad is a huge airplane and tank nerd...

books
All those magazine sized books are about planes and tanks. Can you believe it?? When they were talking about the planes at the base Dad already knew everything the guys were saying! Too bad those guys don't make any money or Dad could just go work there! LOL!

Speaking of flying, Mom bought a SECOND bird feeder because she got a visit from some very special birds.

That is a Peach-Faced Lovebird. They are from Africa but there is a wild population living in Phoenix, isn't that cool??

There are even mutations that are blue. Mom has seen 5-6 so far and thinks they are so pretty.

I have come to realize they are NOT that scary, because they don't really hang around when we are outside. They realize they need to respect us!

And those wind chimes you all heard in the super creepy Hitchcock movie are real, Mom has then on the patio and they warn me when the weather is getting bad.

So that wraps up my flying post, if you guys are ever in AZ you should visit the musuem...

If you take the boneyard tour you end up seeing over 4400 planes!!!

I am definitely going next time!!

I can't believe you have wild birds so pretty in Arid Zona! The best I get is a cardinal or sometimes a goldfinch.

Hey! Momma totally met at BT yesterday, like up close and personal! She reported back that given how bigger than life you are she was surprised at how SMALL a BT is in real life. Whole lotta attitude there, little guy.

oh those planes are amazing! So many choices for peeing on tires. Even with all 5 of the boy whippets, we think we would run out.

Those birdies are beautiful! Are they like those wild parakeets in San Francisco who fly in a flock around the Mission?

Geez, the best we get is an occasional pigeon in the trees outside our window!

Hi, Joey...

Yep...That is a big plane...I think we could all fit in there with Mango...

Those birds are soooo pretty...Just keep an eye on them...You never know what they might do...

If we put up a bird feeder here, the squirrels chase all the birds away & eat the food...

Maybe, I should ask my Mom to put one up...Maybe I could sneak up on the squirrels when they are eating...

Your dad needs to talk to our dad about tanks. Since that is what dad did for 12 years before he became a scout. That plane was huge, humungous, gigiantanormous. haha

I'd love to say those lovebirds are beautiful but really - they look delicious. I haven't seen a bird in a dog's age because it's winter here and I think they all flew south and are in your back yard. My catsisters chase all the birds out of our yard before I even get outside. But there are lots of them at my park. YUM. Haven't caught one yet but they make me go all ADD and I slobber all over myself.

Did you know I'm friends with a Boston who lives on my block? He's my mini-me and I play with him all the time. He's so cute just like you.

Hey, Joe!

How cool that those love birds are congregating at your bird buffet. Do you think they came all the way from Africa just to visit your restaurant? They are bootiful.

Glad to hear the birds are friendly types who know their place and understand the R-E-S-P-E-C-T issue.

We all already knew your dad was a geek of some sort, and now we know what kind. Those photos are pretty cool. Hope you get to go with him sometime soon to see those planes.

Goober love,
Stanley

My human sissy is going to Las Vegas in May, but we just looked it up on google maps, it is still a long way from you guys!!

We thought it was just down the road from you!! She is going to take a trip to the Grand Canyon while she is there.

There were certainly a great deal of planes in that photo!

ps we don't seem to have the right feed for your blog, so we don't get the updates.....any ideas?

Listen, we heard that Phoenix has one kidnappin' everyday.....now we hope ya all stay safe 'n sound in yer little compound there...'n if ya see any kidnappers at all...ya 'n Tanner should bite 'em right away....'n no nippin' either.....bite 'em right where it hurts the most...sink yer teeth inta the flesh 'n don't let go.....we know ya can do it....
