Sierras Wedding
Sierra went through the Payson Temple. |
Pappa and Nanna were so nice to drive all the way from Gunnison to show their support. We sure do love them! |
Sierra and Scottys wedding was absolutely beautiful! The night before ( Jul 31) they had a reception in Kanosh in our parents back yard. If I could have a wedding do over I would do it like they did. The back drop was breathtaking. She looked so beautiful and I just kept looking at her all day and thinkin is my baby sis really grown up and getting married?! We couldnt be happier with who she picked to be her husband. They will live a happy life together. We had a big dance party towards the end and then Scotty got out his guitar and sand to Sierra and he cried. It was the sweetest thing. The next morning ( Aug 1) they were married in the Salt Lake Temple and it was so nice having just the marriage that day so we didn't have to stress about reception or luncheon stuff. We were able to all sit in that sealing room together as a family and it was so awesome to see our baby sister kneal across the alter and be sealed to love of her life. Scottys grandpa Craven was able to seal them as it was his last sealing ever and not to mention he had to have a blood transfusion the day before just so he would have enough energy to seal them. As they kissed across the Alter his grandpa was like , "well that was weak" it was hilarious! I love it when people have a sense of humor.. and boy he did! We are so excited to see where life will take them and so happy they found each other!

Girls Trip to Sunny St George
Getting beautified POOLSIDE! |
Our awesome mom took us on a much needed girls trip to St George. We went shopping, laid by the pool, killed cockroaches at 6 am, went to "The Longest Ride" movie, and best of all was seeing "When you Wish" at Tuachan. It was amazing and I wish that Paisley could have been there the whole time.. she would have loved it.
The trip ended all to soon... but from there my mom, sisters, and I met our husbands with the kids and headed onto Arizona to be with my grandma. We were there just the week before for the funeral but it was fun to go back and be with her and she greaves the loss of my grandpa. We had so much fun with her and helped her clean out alot of things in her house. We of course had to go to water aroebics in the morning and thats always so much fun. We went to El Camino, went and had girls nights with the Platts and Hausers, and thats when our crazy selves came out. It was such a blast catching up with them and goin to the lake together and just talking about life and kids and how crazy life is these days. Unfortunetly, all good things come to an end and it was time to go home. The kids did so good on the ride and we were so happy to see Dadddy!
Its a real struggle to keep pants on this kids! |

Lloyd Wayne Davis
Mark my words... I willl be a Bee Keeper someday and so when I saw this bee get up in the house we were staying in I just had to try it out.. I felt right at home:) |
My sweet grandpa Davis passed away they end of May:( it was kinda sudden but he had suffered along time with depression and it got to the point where my grandma had to do EVERYTHING for him and so it was getting really hard for her to. Sadly it was a blessing that he went when he did. He lived a good life and Im so glad we were able to make a quick trip to St. Johns, Arizona and watch him be laid to rest. It was so great to see cousins that I hadnt seen in a long time. His funeral was very well put together and so beautiful. All the grandkids sang 'Homeward bound' and the spirit was so strong. We will miss Grandpa Davis but are so glad he isn't suffering anymore. Until we meet again gramps:)
'Homeward Bound'
In the quiet misty morning
When the moon has gone to bed,
When the sparrows stop their singing
And the sky is clear and red,
When the summer's ceased its gleaming
When the corn is past its prime,
When adventure's lost its meaning -
I'll be homeward bound in time
Bind me not to the pasture
Chain me not to the plow
Set me free to find my calling
And I'll return to you somehow
If you find it's me you're missing
If you're hoping I'll return,
To your thoughts I'll soon be listening,
And in the road I'll stop and turn
Then the wind will set me racing
As my journey nears its end
And the path I'll be retracing
When I'm homeward bound again
Bind me not to the pasture
Chain me not to the plow
Set me free to find my calling
And I'll return to you somehow
(softly)
In the quiet misty morning
When the moon has gone to bed,
When the sparrows stop their singing
I'll be homeward bound again.

My friend Alicia Bass took this pictures for us out at the Granite Salt Flats. I am SO. IN. LOVE! I could print all these out and paste them everyone all over my house is Jake would let me. I loved how they turned out. I wasnt sure anyone of them would cause it was so windy but you cant even tell. I love how pure and simple the background is! Thanks so much Alecia! ..."I believe in the family where there
is a husband who regards his
companion as his greatest asset and
treats her accordingly;
where there is a wife who looks upon
her husband as her anchor and strength.
The cultivation of such a home
requires effort and energy,
forgiveness and patience,
Love,
and, endurance, and sacrifice;
but it is worth all of these and more."....
