Adorable kids!

Ok, it's time for my quarterly update! Really, did anyone think I would get any better at this blog thing? So to update everyone from the last time- Claire and Jack got rsv and poor little Jack was in primary childrens for 7 days when he was just 7 weeks old. It was not a fun experience and don't recommend it to anyone! Needless to say I put Claire and Jack on house arrest, except for our many doctor visits with one kid or the other, until just a few weeks ago! We are free! Now it's official that both kids have asthma, and Jack is following his cousin Treyson's lead with head to toe exzema. And he is allergic to milk and soy protein and so far has pretty good seasonal allergies. I am afraid to find out what's next! I know a lot of you want to see pictures of Jack. He is changing so much! He is such a happy baby, except when he is hungry! He is smiling all the time. He loves kisses and his feet. I think he could watch them all day! And exciting news, Jack is cutting his first tooth today! He loves Claire. He literally tries to turn his head backwards to watch her every move. And Claire just thinks he is the cutest thing. Every time he smiles she says "oh, look at him, cute smiles." Who knew Claire would learn to share her mom. She even has started sharing her beloved blankets with Jack! Wow that is huge for her! Claire still loves to dance, make cupcakes, play with letters, build things and make huge messes just like curious george. She sometimes tells me she makes messes because she is curious like george. She is always saying funny things to make us laugh. Yesterday, we were bribing her with m&m's to use her inhaler. And with her eyes full of tears, in between sobs, she picks up a yellow m&m and says look this matches sleeping beauties hair! Nothing gets past this girl. Everyday she tells me "In two weeks daddy will bring home easter eggs and we will paint them with green paint and the easter bunny will hide them. In two weeks." Everything is in two weeks, it's really cute. Jon is teaching her the alphabet in sign language and she teaches me. She makes my fingers the right shapes and encourages me as I do it. She also uses a very patient voice when she does it. I could go on and on with cute stories she is full of them. Jon and I are so lucky to have such fantastic kids!

I can't get enough of their smiles. I am one lucky mom!

Jack in the hospital

I literally slept in the bathroom! The hospital was so full there were people sleeping in the hallways of the ER, so I was pretty thankful to share a room and have such confined spaces.

She made them mostly be herself. They were the best pinkalicious cupcakes ever!

Just a little bit of her personality to share. She did both of these while I wasn't paying attention. If you look close the shoes are all in the same order on both sides of the purple pair. Little smarty pants!

More Pictures

Claire was loving posing for the camera. If only she would do it at home. She thought she was funny when she laughed with her mouth wide open. She was being quite the show off. What happend to my shy little girl?

Could they get any cuter?

We had some pictures done of the kids when Jack was 2 weeks old. All I can say is that I have the cutest kids in the world! Just thought I would share a few with everyone. Claire is loving being a big sister. She loves to kiss her finger and then put it on his nose. It is so adorable. I am so glad she has adjusted so well. There were many of us that had our doubts. Enjoy the pictures. And yes, the water dripping from Jon's hands is pee. Who knew peeing could be such an art form!

Jack Robert Wanlass

Jack Robert Wanlass arrived Dec. 22, 2009 at 1:34 p.m. He was 6lbs. and 18 1/2 in. long. He was so excited for Christmas that he decided to come a little over 2 weeks early. We are so excited to have him in our family. So far he is a really good baby. He only cries when he is super hungry or wants to be snuggled before he drifts to sleep. He does grunt and grumble a lot though. He is growing like a weed. He already grew 1 1/2 in. in just two weeks! I think he will be tall like his daddy. Claire loves being a big sister. She loves rubbing his head and looking at his toes. However, she does not like his stinky diapers. She actually gags when we change them! It is pretty funny! Hopefully this will help in potty training one day.

We moved to Herriman in November. We love having more space! I would have to say my favorite thing is having windows on both sides of the house! I don't feel like I am living in the dark anymore. Well, I shouldn't say that Claire can reach the light switches to turn them off. We are constantly having light battles! Jon is still working for Trakit-Gps and it keeps him pretty busy. Claire is a busy two year old who is always making us laugh. She has such an imagination! She loves to play with her house and people. She can literally play with them all day. But you have to play by her rules of you get in trouble. When she is not playing with her people she is dancing away. She loves to dance to barbie swan lake. And she really tries to imitate exacly what they do. It is really cute! And as for me, well I change a lot of diapers and feed kids, and put them down to sleep. Oh, and lots, and lots of laundry. I've decided that boys are much messier than girls. Here are some more pictures. Sorry it took us so long to get pictures up of our new baby boy.

Birthday Party

Later that day we had a small party with grandparents. Don't worry Grammy we will celebrate with you when you get back in town. There were so many balloons we were lucky we even fit. She had so much fun at her party that she was a total mess and loving every minute of it. I kept asking her what kind of cake she wanted and every time she told me she wanted a "raffe" cake. So she got one. She loved singing happy birthday and blowing out the candles so much that we did it 3 times!! We let her open a present in the morning. She loved it so much that I caught her a couple times earlier in the day sneaking off and opening some presents while we weren't looking. I love that she is old enough to get excited for birthdays! She also loved her Pappa being there. They have a special connection. Whenever they are together they both get the biggest grins. When everyone was leaving, I told her to give Pappa a kiss goodbye and she gave him about three. She wouldn't hug or kiss anyone else. She would just smoosh her cheek next to theirs to call it good. It was pretty cute to watch just how much she adores him!

Birthday Princess

Claire turned two!! I can't believe how fast time has gone! We are having so much fun with her at this age. She is definately a character. We took her to wheeler farm in the morning for her 2 year old pictures. I literally took 400 pictures of her to get a few unforgettable pictures. She loves wheeler farm. The only bad part in taking her there for pictures was that she is always so interested in everything on the ground (dirt and rocks, her two favorite loves) that it was nearly impossible to get her to look up at me!! She even turned down wearing her necklaces because they got in her way. To say she loved her skirt is an understatement. When I got it home she immediatley told me she wanted to wear her skirt and dance. And on her birthday she wanted to wear it all day. She definately was a birthday princess.

Nerdy Claire

I couldn't resist posting these! Isn't she the cutest nerd you've ever seen? Not many people can pull this look off.
