Avri and Macall at 3 weeks

3 weeks
Our little girls are growing big and fast!

Avri is such an eater and so impatient. When she decides she is ready to eat, she is ready to eat NOW! She also loves to be held to go to sleep and any other time anyone is willing to hold her. She has very blue eyes and fair skin like her brothers. We have loved our last three weeks with this girl, even at 12 when she prefers to be awake for hours!!
Macall is laid back and loves holding her head up to catch all the action. She is patient with her brothers who shove her binki in her mouth when she doesn't want it. We still can't tell what color of eyes she has. They are blue in some light and brown in others. It would be fun to have a little one that looks similar to me instead of the mold of their father. :-) She has dark hair and darker skin. Macall has been home for 2 weeks and we love every minute with her and are so happy that she is healthy and doing well. My pretty little girls!

Can they get into any more trouble??

Kim and Chris hosted our wonderful Thanksgiving dinner this year. It was fabulous as Thanksgiving always is but we missed those we weren't with. The boys had every toy out and had a blast playing with Quinn and Elliott. Of course they had to do something naughty for me to blog about...
Elliott ran up the stairs "Taylor and Braxton are painting!!"
WHAT!?!
Kim and I ran downstairs and indeed they were painting and very proud.
"I paint big mom!"
They only painted a little on the wall, on Grandma's coat, and some on their clothes. They got most of it on the paper which is surprising.
The painting was so good we brought it home and it is now on our fridge where they can see their masterpiece. Look at that smile. Love this kid!
They are wild and crazy but seriously the stuff they think of makes me laugh a little (on the inside so they can't see I think it is funny).
They are my two favorite two year olds :-)

Sick

Braxton: "Mom, my booger is all gone."
Me: "Where is it?"
Braxton: "I put it in my pocket."
Taylor, holding his finger out: "No, it's right here. He put it on the wall."
Me: Get out the kleenex and wipe Braxton's booger off Taylor's fingers. SICK

Fireworks mom!!

The boys were supposed to be napping the other day but when I went to check on them sleeping was the last thing on their minds! As I walked in Taylor shouted "Fireworks Mom!!". I was confused until Brax showed me where the fireworks came from. The little stinkers love to play with money and I didn't think anything of it. How much trouble can you get in with a penny? Well, they were putting the money in the night light and one got stuck in between the light and socket and caused some FIREWORKS also blowing the fuse. I checked the walls to make sure they didn't start my house on fire but all is well!!
Stinkers!!!
(they no longer have a night light and don't get to play with moneys)

Snowing

The other day it snowed for the first time. Justin bundled up the boys and they went out to play. Braxton wasn't too sure about the "too big" winter clothes but once he got outside he loved it. They threw snowballs, made a small fort, and jumped into the snow pile. The loved it!

Bringing Home Baby Macall

We are so grateful to have Macall home from the hospital. It was a long week but we made it and now the real fun begins. As we were coming home Justin asked me if it felt weird to know that these 4 kids are our family. It doesn't feel weird, just complete! :-)Proud DaddyShe was wide awake and ready to come home

As soon as we came in Brax and Taylor ran to see Baby Call (their name for her) Too cute! They have been loving their sisters today and make sure we know when they need something.

The girls are here...

and it's about time I blogged some pictures of the cute little girls. It has been a long, hard week but we are all doing well. We went in on the 6th at 6:30am and had the girls around 8:45. It's always an exhausting day :-) 37 weeks and DONE!!!
New daddy in the ORYucky picture of mom with the girls.
I have an excuse though, I did just go through surgery :-)
Avri Jean Hatch
6 lbs 4 oz (same as Brax was)
19.5 inches long
Macall Jo Hatch
5lbs 6 oz
18.5 inches long
Avri loves her binki. It is as big as her head. Our little Macall had to go to the NICU where she still is today. She was small, breathing fast, and having trouble keeping her body temp up which sent her there in the first place but she lost some weight and wouldn't eat which put her there for a while longer. She ended up having to have jaundice lights on her for a couple days and still was sleepy and not eating. Yesterday she was moved out of her isolette because she was able to keep her temp normal and is now eating lots better. She is supposed to have her feeding tube removed sometime this afternoon and as long as she continues to eat and not lose weight we get to bring her home. Tomorrow is probably pushing it so we are hoping for Saturday!! We hate not having her home with us right now but we want her healthy so we don't have any return visits to the NICU.
Avri is a great baby and sleeps most the day away! She only eats twice at night which I am grateful for. I am still getting some sleep :-) The boys are starting to pay attention to her. They tell me they "want to hold it". I am trying to teach them to say her or Avri. She is a sweet little girl.
A couple more pictures of Macall in the NICU.
We love our baby girls and they truly complete our family.

Halloween

Halloween has been going on for a week here. I am glad its over because I love Thanksgiving and Christmas and now we can start celebrating for the next two months!
Friday we went into Justin's office and the boys made a haul! They were the last ones of the night so everyone gave them a ton of candy. They loved it and it was fun seeing where Justin is working. Showing off all the candy.

Last night we went to Draper and hit up my Uncle and Aunt's ward trunk or treat. We got there right at the end but the boys still filled their buckets.
They still wouldn't say Trick or Treat but said thank you to everyone. Brax showing off his treats
Taylor showing his whole bucket of treats :-)

Brax had to make sure Taylor didn't get more then he did :-)

After all the trunk or treating and pictures we had a yummie dinner of chili and scones. It is tradition and we do it every year. Em made home made dough that was delicious and Ann made chili and stew that were also great. I took pumpkin pies and I have to say they were so yummie too! Can't wait for dessert tonight!

Thanks for all the fun! Next year, DINSEYLAND! Who's coming???
