Can't Get Enough

My husband had to go back to work this week and he requested I put more pictures on our blog so he can see more of Cooper. I don't blame him. He's pretty stinkin' cute! I'm loving that I get to stay home and hold him all day long. When he's sleeping, I try and nap or get a few things done around the house. It's almost a battle around here though as to who gets to hold him next and lots of arguing over how long someone else got to hold him. He's loved! A whole bunch!! It's really hard to look at this precious little one and not want a dozen more just like him. He's a wonderful baby and does a great job sleeping at night and is a pro at nursing. The kids all check on him while he's sleeping and come back and report to me that he is SOOOOO cute! Even Mayci does a check every morning and always says, "Aaahh! He's so cute!" I really am the luckiest mom ever!

The chair above Justin's head was what he slept on the first night and he woke up with a bad back and a headache. The next day he had gone home for some things and came back with a mattress so he could sleep better! He did! He's a trooper!!
On Friday morning, my mom brought Austin and Mayci back in to visit for awhile. Austin really wanted to play with the gloves that they had in the room. What kid wouldn't want to do this with the gloves??
We both got to go home on Friday afternoon and so we got Cooper dressed into real clothes for the 1st time that day. We also learned that he hates to be naked and he hates having his diaper changed. He screams still when we change his diaper and once he's covered back up, he calms right down.

He's so little!!
Just had to document this!! Grandpa Pugmire didn't hold the first handful of grandkids that came. He said he'd break them. Well, he and Grandma Pugmire came by the house on Friday afternoon to check out their new grandbaby and Grandpa went over to Grandma and asked to hold Cooper! We all about passed out with that request! We think Cooper looks alot like his Grandpa Pugmire!
The kids made these 2 signs on Wednesday before he was born. They weren't sure when I would have the baby but they wanted to be ready with them. They got to use them sooner than they thought!

Proof he hates diaper changes!

2 tired boys. This was kind of cute and I really want to remember things like this. I know how fast they grow up and change and I want all of these memories to stay with me forever! Even the memories that aren't precious- like lack of sleep and the enormous loads of laundry to do. I've learned that some things can wait. My kids can't!
I just read a book the other night (I have lots of time to read now!!) called 'I Am A Mother' by Jane Clayson Johnson. I loved it! There was a poem in there that I just love:

Cleaning and scrubbing can wait for tomorrow,

For babies grow up, I've learned, to my sorrow.

So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust, go to sleep.

I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep.

I am a mother and loving every minute of it!

2-in-1

We did celebrate Mayci's birthday. We also celebrated St. Patrick's Day. We had green Swedish pancakes- Mayci's request. We opened up presents later that night due to the crazy schedule we had. We ate quickly and all got ready to head to the school to watch Braydon's 5th grade square dance performance. We also got Braydon's ball practice in as well. She thought this was the coolest jacket! She just had to wear it over to the square dance performance.
She also got a 'Wocket in my pocket' doll. She named him 'Dude'. We had our share of laughs that night as she talked about 'Dude'. At one point, she had put Dude down to brush her teeth. When she went to get him, she couldn't find where she had put him. She walked around saying, "Where's my Dude?"
She was in need of a new pair of shoes pretty bad. She said the shoes were her favorite!
The square dance was pretty good. The kids knew all of the steps and they had to learn about 7 different dances. A nicer camera would have been fun for this performance.

Boot Scootin' Boogie was a line dance that they learned. All the rest were partner dances. The kids had to choose their partners for that night.

Braydon and his partner didn't smile much while they were dancing. I think they might have been nervous. They were all smiles afterwards though!! What a fun experience!!

After the performance, we went home and had brownies and icecream for Mayci's birthday! It was a crazy and fun day! I still can't believe that this beautiful girl is 3 now!!
A few facts about Mayci:

Her favortie book is Goldilicious. She got Silverlicious for her b-day so now maybe both books.

She loves to read, especially just before nap time.

Yogurt and granola is her favorite thing to eat for lunch.

She asks every night if we can have pancakes for breakfast.

She gets excited every Sunday for nursery!

She loves to sing songs.

Anything the girls do, she wants to do.

She enjoys being outside, riding her bike or hanging with the older kids.

Caillou is her favorite thing to watch on Netflix.

She can quote things off different movies (she gets that from her Uncle Chris).

Give her a rag and she'll wash walls and doors all day long.

Bathtime is one of her favorites.

She requests piano lessons quite often.

She loves to wear shoes-all day long. In the house (don't know where she gets that from). She's obsessed with counting everything.

She's a big tease.

She has the best manners. Please and Thank You for everything and she clears her dishes after meals.

Her smile is contagious. So is her laugh.

Our 6th Bit of Heaven

Here is our gang as of today- Cooper's Birthday:
This picture just makes me smile! Can we really be responsible for these 6 adorable, amazing kids??

We made it to the hospital at 6:30 pm after I spent most of the day having contractions 7-10 minutes apart. I was dialated to a 5 and 75% effaced on Tuesday at my dr. appointment and he said if I was having any kind of contiuous contraction that I should go in and get checked. I didn't really want to go in and have them send me back home. They kept me though.
The dr. came in and checked me and I was a 6 and they gave me antibiotics for the group b strep. I had to wait 4 hours before they would break my water. The dr. broke my water at 12:30 am on March 24. The contractions started coming strong and my smile didn't stay on my face for long.

This was taken between contractions and Justin did a great job and getting me to smile. Don't know how he does it but he can bring out the best in me!! He did a great job at keeping me calm between and during contractions and kept me from breaking down into tears. Justin got to deliver Cooper so we didn't get a lot of pictures taken.

I took this picture. The dr., Justin and both nurses in the room had gloves on and were busy so I grabbed the camera and snapped this picture just after they placed him on my belly. He made his presence known and was pretty noisy for most of the night. It was pretty cute.
What a relief to have this adorable little guy with us now and have him healthy. For coming 4 weeks early, everything was perfect. We've decided we know how to do this now. We are probably considered pros at this now.
The proud mom and dad with their perfect 6th child!!!
The weigh in and vital check. He was 7'2" and 20 inches long. His hair has a tint of red in it and there's plenty of it!!
I'm just glad to be done with all of those contractions! I'm also in amazement of how perfect this little child is and how this all can be done!
My favorite part of having a child is that time you have to bond with your little one. The best part is seeing a loving father and husband hold his newborn and be in awe!!
Justin got to go into the nursery and watch his first bath. I still can't get over his hair and the red that is in it. We see a lot of Braydon and also his Grandpa Pugmire in him.
Check out that part in his hair!!!
This morning my mom brought in Mayci and Austin and then later brought in the other kids. They are in love! Mayci thinks she needs to hold Cooper ALL of the time and thinks that the others take too much time holding him! She should be fun to watch interact with Cooper!

This was too cute. I had a poppy seed cake for lunch and the girls really wanted to eat it. Kenzie was trying to get a spoonful into Mayci's mouth and those 3 girls just huddled around that cake until it was gone!

What am amazing experience and I feel so blessed to have been able to have this opportunity 6 times. Each time it just seems to get better and I know that my Heavenly Father truly loves me. He has watched over me with each pregnancy and delivery and helped me to understand what true love really is. I am the luckiest mom and wife in the world right now.
Happy Birthday Cooper! Thanks for making our family complete!!
