The chair above Justin's head was what he slept on the first night and he woke up with a bad back and a headache. The next day he had gone home for some things and came back with a mattress so he could sleep better! He did! He's a trooper!!
On Friday morning, my mom brought Austin and Mayci back in to visit for awhile. Austin really wanted to play with the gloves that they had in the room. What kid wouldn't want to do this with the gloves??
We both got to go home on Friday afternoon and so we got Cooper dressed into real clothes for the 1st time that day. We also learned that he hates to be naked and he hates having his diaper changed. He screams still when we change his diaper and once he's covered back up, he calms right down.
He's so little!!
Just had to document this!! Grandpa Pugmire didn't hold the first handful of grandkids that came. He said he'd break them. Well, he and Grandma Pugmire came by the house on Friday afternoon to check out their new grandbaby and Grandpa went over to Grandma and asked to hold Cooper! We all about passed out with that request! We think Cooper looks alot like his Grandpa Pugmire!
The kids made these 2 signs on Wednesday before he was born. They weren't sure when I would have the baby but they wanted to be ready with them. They got to use them sooner than they thought!
Proof he hates diaper changes!
2 tired boys. This was kind of cute and I really want to remember things like this. I know how fast they grow up and change and I want all of these memories to stay with me forever! Even the memories that aren't precious- like lack of sleep and the enormous loads of laundry to do. I've learned that some things can wait. My kids can't!
I just read a book the other night (I have lots of time to read now!!) called 'I Am A Mother' by Jane Clayson Johnson. I loved it! There was a poem in there that I just love:
Cleaning and scrubbing can wait for tomorrow,
For babies grow up, I've learned, to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust, go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep.
