Rowan had his first trip to the dentist.  They usually only count their teeth on the first visit.  He watched Lily get her teeth cleaned and then willingly jumped into the chair for his turn.  He was so cooperative they did the whole cleaning.  He was pretty nervous at first but he was a good boy and very brave.

I had to take my car to the dealership today to get some repairs on the computer system thing-a-whatever.     After sitting in the service department for an hour, I took my two animals to the zoo a couple miles down the road.

Congratulations to Ally Simmons, the Division 2 State Champion in Pole Vault!  Ally is the daughter of Nathan and Natalie.  Natalie is Bob's daughter.  She FLEW over the bar at 12 feet 5.25 inches.  I can't even imagine what forces would be required to get my fat ass that high in the air.  I have trouble jumping over a line of matchbox cars.

Ally and her family.  Christian, Dad, Ally, Brandon, and Mom

I loaded some phone pictures onto my computer, something I don't do often enough.  When we are doing something specific, I take my good camera, but the phone captures everyday life.

"Helping" Papa Jebby clean out flower beds.

At Papa Jebby's they have to earn play time.  Just kidding.

Estelle had a lot of fun waiting for the parade to start.  Then when it did she fell asleep.

The kids have run a couple races this summer.  They like to run.

They have also been to a few festivals.  I hate festivals.  I usually stay home because I'm the fun stopper.  Those rides make me nervous.

I'm still walking the towpath when I can.

Kirk and I went on a date a couple weeks ago.  We went out to dinner and to Blossom to a Dave Matthews concert.  It was really fun.

I've been trying to do some cleaning.  I have a lot of "help"

They like to make their own lunch.  I'm sure that sounds like a good idea to you, but you should see the kitchen when they are finished.

They are in the summer reading club at the Barry Askren Memorial Library.

This weekend was Lily's dance recital.  She is in gymnastics/tumbling and she danced to the gummy bear song.

Rowan brought her a bouquet

The great grandmas sat through three hours of dancing to see Lily dance for three minutes.  Those are some loving grandmas!
