School's Out!!!

I can't believe that it's the last day of school!! This year flew by.  Alissa loved the first grade.  She had Mrs. Camp as her teacher, who is actually the mom of one of Jeff's best friend's from high school! How awesome is that?!  We love Mrs. Camp and we will miss her next year! (**and we'll keep our fingers crossed that Brooks has her for first grade!!)

Here are a few pictures from the awards assembly at school this morning.  Ali with her cousin Eli and her other half- Sydney!

Way to go guys!!!

2 Years later....

No! your eyes are not playing tricks on you...I actually DID update my blog!!! After 2 years!!  As I look back through my blog, I notice a very well used phrase.... "the time goes by so fast!".... and so I say it again, Holy flippin' cow!!!  Where does the time go!??!  I can't believe it!!  We have been here for over three years, my baby is 21 months old, and I will have 2 kids in school!  It's impossible to catch up on the last 2 years and I can't beleive that slide.com is gone!! I've lost all of my cute little slide shows!!! Dang them!! But here is a glimpse of what we've been up to...

Our Spring in Review...

This Spring has been so crazy... I think everywhere!! We've had very few really nice, warm days, but we have tried to take advantage of them when they are here! I've been a total slacker at blogging- so here is a looong post of trying to catch up!

The kids FINALLY got to ride their bikes they got for Christmas... Ali loves it- almost ready for the training wheels to go off and Brooks is struggling to figure out why the bike stops when he pushes the pedals backward, but he'll get there! They love it and have lots of fun!

Alissa started to play T-Ball with her cousin Eli. Jeff is the coach and she loves that! They are so cute to watch. Ali's very first hit off the T was really good- Jeff told her to run to the base and she ran straight to 2nd... too funny.. I love watching these little kids and seeing how much they learn each week!

Brooks loves watching his sister play, but really wishes it was him out there!

Daddy makes the best coach!!
For Memorial Day I wanted to go to St. George to see my family. The dr. told me that he didn't think it was a very good idea to drive over 24 hours in 3 days- so he advised me to stay home... I decided that I better listen to him- so we had our own little mini vacation. We drove to Boise and took the kids to the zoo, went and ate lunch at Westside Diner (featured on Diner's, Drive-In's and Dives), went swimming, the mall, and hung out in our hotel room.. the kids thought it was the best thing ever! And even though we were still pretty close to home, it was nice to get away!

Here are some fun things we saw at the zoo...

Just hanging out in the hotel room...

A few weeks ago our niece, Cheryl, decided to get baptised. We went to Redmond and had a little mini Aldred reunion. It was so nice to have most everyone together and more than anything we were so excited for Cheryl and for her decision to be baptised! So proud of her!

Congrat's Cheryl!! We love you!!

Here is Jeff and 3 of his brothers.

It's been a pretty crazy year for us so far!! Doesn't seem like life is going to slow down much, but we are enjoying it! Hope that everyone is doing well!!

And it begins!

Life has been so crazy lately! The holidays came and went- we went to St. George for Thanksgiving and spent the holiday with my family, including black Friday shopping- a Hess family tradition! We had an eventful Christmas here in Oregon and spent Christmas and New Years with our family here. The kids had lots of fun and got spoiled rotten by Santa Claus (and grandparents!) this year. Jeff and I found a house to rent and moved out over the holiday. The kids had a second Christmas when all of their toys came out of storage and we have been trying to get settled ever since!! Jeff found a great new job here as a sales/project manager of a drip irrigation company and I am still as busy as ever working at the D.A.'s office. It seems like we are always on the go and there is never enough time in the day!! Most recently, poor little Brooks fell down the stairs and split his head open, had to get it stapled and Alissa lost her FIRST tooth!! She was so excited. Brooks was obsessed with the tooth fairy. Last weekend Alissa peformed with the mini cheerleaders at the Highschool during halftime!! She loved it! I'm lame and don't have many pictures to post, but here is a cute one of Ali warming up before her dance! So cute! Hope that everyone is loving the new year and doing well!! I would love to hear from you all!

Happy Halloween!!!

We went down to the trunk or treat at the church. The kids had lots of fun and got to play with their cousins and friends. There were so many cute pictures of them I couldn't narrow it down, so here's another slide show! Hope that everyone had a really fun Halloween :)
Here are some pictures of our annual Halloween party on Wed. night. We made carmel apples and chili and carved pumpkins. Grandma Nancy made us some awesome cinnamon rolls, too! After we got done carving pumpkins we all sat down and watched Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin... the kids loved it!

Happy Birthday Ali!!

It seems like I just barely wrote a post about her last birthday, and now here she is, another year older! I think I say this almost every post, but I honestly have no idea where the time goes!! Alissa had a really fun birthday this year. Steph made her an Ariel cake that she loved and she had her family over to celebrate and have dinner!! Thanks to everyone that remembered her and made her day so memorable! Here are some pictures of our day with Ali...

We love you Alissa!
