Moving Day
Moving day came… and the movers arrived and got busy packing boxes onto the truck.
Every single box and piece of furniture had a little orange sticker on it….. I’m still finding orange stickers.Cheryl and Claire came by to bring me lunch.
and then Debbie joined us a little while later. When they left, no tears were shed. We hugged and said see you soon!
The packing continued….
When everything was packed… they rolled out.
I stayed behind to clean the house because someone wanted to come take a second look at it the next morning at 9:00!! It was 6:30 pm and I was EXHAUSTED and ready to get on the road……………but I couldn’t find the keys. Panic ensued. I called Josh crying. I called my Mom crying. Once they both reassured me I would find them--- I called Claire. She was at the house in less than 5 minutes- and found the keys within minutes of arriving. They were in the cup holder of the lawn mower, which was in the back of the truck. I have no idea why I put them there--- but that’s where they were!
With a truck bed full of lawn equipment, I pulled out of town.As I got to Jackson, the torrential downpour started. Once the rain stopped the sun came out immediately.
Tears were flowing at this point in my journey- I was leaving my friends, my home, and my school- but the rainbow reminded me that GOD will watch over us as we begin a new chapter in our life.
MAY THERE ALWAYS BE SUNSHINE….. MAY THERE ALWAYS BE BLUE SKIES………..

Lunch with SAE friends…
On Monday before the big move, my kindergarten friends took me to lunch one last time at our favorite after school establishment. I was so surprised when the leadership team strolled through the door- I thought they were busy interviewing! I didn’t get a picture with all of my kindergarten peeps, everyone scattered before I could grab a photo. These four people have been so supportive and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to lead the wonderful school where I began my teaching career.
And of course…. I had to go say goodbye to Billy & Robin at Billy’s Italian. Every Monday night (almost) for the last year they fed Josh & I. Mondays were always crazy- and their food was ALWAYS yummy!

Goodbyes Are Not Easy…. Part 1
About a week before we moved, some of the graduated baseball parents had a going away gathering for us! It was a night that I dreaded for many reasons! I don’t do goodbyes very well, and these people have been our family for the last 4 years.
Some of the boys were there- and that was the hardest part of this whole move- saying goodbye to the precious young men that we have watched grow up since they were in 8th grade!
Some other coaches and their wives came too!
When Josh and I left—the ugly cry occurred—and I just had to hug and walk!
