How a Simple Email Changed my Entire Day

A Co-Worker forwarded this e-mail to me and I haven't stopped thinking about it all day! I keep wondering why I think life will be better or easier when I have this or do that etc etc. Every moment of my life is spent in a hurry and I never stop and actually let myself "LIVE in the MOMENT." My goal for now on is to be more conscious and aware. It's going to be really hard for me to not give attention to all the insignificant things in my life but it is absolutely worth a try! I don't want to look back on my life and feel like I never actually lived it. I used to be that crazy girl that lived in the moment. The girl that thought that everyone was good and kind, and the girl that couldn't get enough of life. Unfortunately growing up has taken that away from me. Now I am not saying I have a bad life by any means, I am just simply saying I need to LIVE!! I hope you enjoy the email below.

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them'

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

First, I was dying to finish my high school and start college
And then I was dying to finish college and start working
Then I was dying to marry and have children
And then I was dying for my children to grow old enough so I could go back to work
But then I was dying to retire
And now I am dying.....
And suddenly I realized I forgot to live

Remember: Appreciate your current situation and enjoy each day!

BLACKOUT

Proud of you Matt Snow!Fun fun game!

On Monday Mr. Hubby celebrated his 25th birthday! It weirds me out that we have know each other since we were 12 we were kids and now we are just old.....bring on the wrinkles!! Secretly I have been wishing that we had our own reality t.v. show just because this last week I probably peed my pants every day! I have the funniest Husband. The things he does and the things that come out of his mouth just kill me! I really can't even do him justice, I just wish I had it all on tape cause I don't ever want to forget it. Life really is so much better when you have someone so funny to share it with! Happy Birthday Jeffrey!
