Pictures of us that you have never seen!!

We went for a ride on the Tahoe Queen. Jeff is friends with the captain of the ship so the kids each got a turn at the wheel. They loved it!

We went to the balloon races in Reno, NV with Uncle Mitch and Bampa and then we went to Denny's for breakfast. It was a lot of fun!

Kenton sleeping with his "Man Soap". He was given this bottle of soap by his Maama. But we won't let him use it until he stays dry all night. So I guess he thinks that if he sleeps with it than it will help him remember to stay dry. It hasn't worked yet, but as you can see he is still testing his theory out.

Karson's first Birthday! He's loving that cake!

Karson in the hospital with pneumonia. He was a little trooper and was released after 5 grooling days! We were so glad to have him home!

Karson on the crashed plane! He thinks he's big stuff!

All the Ward cousins with Great Grandma Ward.

Kaitlyn, Karalee, and Libby at Hogle Zoo.

Kaitlyn's tonsils

Kaitlyn just had her tonsils removed June 10th. She has had strep throat 6 times this season and the doctors finally said enough is enough!! She is recovering quite well. She is really enjoying having ice cream when ever she wants!!

Round Mountain Mine

We went to Round Mountain, Nevada for the 4th of July, Brandon and Cammi blessed their baby (Alexis) on Sunday July 6th, so my whole family went out there to spend the weekend. On Saturday we got to take a tour of the mine and here are some of the things we did and saw:

The kids and some of my family:
Kaitlyn and Shelby
Sarah and Karson

Blake
Uncle Mike and Brian

Brandon

Brad
Karson in safety glasses

Kenton was awestruck at the haul pack trucks. He had his nose glued to the back window of the tour bus for half of the tour (once we were done looking at the big trucks and onto the buildings he got bored and fell asleep), but here are some pictures of him on a haul pack truck at the 4th of July celebration:

Kaitlyn the Photographer

Kaitlyn's new thing is to pose Karson in some pose and then come and ask me to take a picture of him or ask if she can take the pictures herself.

Here are some of her latest poses:

Karson in his car seat with Karalee at Jeff's school

Karson wearing his hat

Karson sitting in his toy box.
He starts out happy!

Then he decides that this is just too much

Whitaker Reunion

The kids and I got to go to Kanosh, UT for a family reunion. It was a reunion for my dad's brothers and sisters. It was also my grandma's 90th birthday party. We had a lot of fun, but we wished Jeff could have been with us!

These are the 4 generation pictures that we took.

From left to right : my dad (John) holding Kaitlyn and Karalee, Grandma Whitaker holding Karson, and me (Kenyen) holding Kenton.

First Blog

We recently moved to Carson City Nevada. We are feeling settled, but there are still a few more things to do, like hang pictures and get rid of the flattened boxes. We also still have some stuff in the garage.

Jeff is currently enrolled in a pilot program at the National Pilot Academy here in Carson City. He is a flight instructor and loving it. He has had 3 students already and said that even though it is fun it is also the most mentally stressful job he has ever had!!

I have been enjoying my time as a stay at home mom. I love being able to spend the day with my 4 kids and watch them grow and learn. I will admit though that I have moments when I would like to run away for an hour or two, but then they say or do something cute and I just have to laugh.

Kaitlyn will be 5 in August and start kindergarten later that month. I can't believe she is already that old. I was listening to the radio today when that new song by Trace Atkins "Your gonna miss this" came on and I started to cry because my kids are growing up too quick.

Karalee is 3. She thinks she can do everything Kaitlyn does, usually she can, but there are a few things that her body just doesn't let her do yet!

Kenton is 2 and full of it. He just keeps going full speed all day, crashes for a nap after lunch and again at 8pm, so I have to try to get everything done in that time.

Karson is 2 months and a doll. Almost literally he loves to be held and as long as he's fed, changed, and burped he's happy.

Well you'll have to check back later for the pictures and more fun stuff!
