Year of Change!

I can't believe it's only March! I feel like we've have so many changes already this year to last us a life time :) Although I'm getting very excited about the changes now, that was not my initial reaction to them.
1st: Being a stay at home mom since January. What a change, in such a good way has it been. I thought i would be such a different "stay at home mom" eating healthy, playing all day. Instead I cook cookies and desserts and take naps with logan :) Logan and Me have become really great buddies. We love playing together and having friends to play with too.
2nd: Logan being potty trained. I heard alot of stories of how potty training was not possible before child (especially boys) turned 3. But I thought we'd give it a try just incase he was the exception. I'm proud to say Logan was potty trained within a week and can even go all by himself now! What a blessing, and great change
3rd: We never thought that we would go to BYU. Aggies and Cougars don't seem to mix : We were quickly humbled as we looked into graduate schools and realized that BYU is really a great school with so much to offer us. I really wanted to go on an adventure out of the state of utah to finish our schooling. However, we only applied to BYU for their grad. program because we knew it was the school for us. Josh was accepted in the month of March which will lead us to the change of schools in the FALL.
4th: With Josh getting accepted to graduate school in Provo we will be moving in May in hopes to get a internship close to the area to help pay for school. Again something we said we would never do when we were first married was live with family. (I think we were just alittle prideful in our early marriage years) However, because of the change of events the last few weeks Joshs parents have opened their home to our family to help support us until we can find a Job and to help us save for school. I was super nervous about this change. I didn't know the way their house works, my cooking, having a new born in the house, having a toddler in the house. I guess I just didn't want to step on toes. But this last weekend we spent alot of time with his family and i loved it. We sat outside with Logan running around in the back yard and us all talking on the patio, it was wonderful to be around family. I look up to Joshs momalot and am excited to get to know them better. I'm also looking forward the extra help with Logan, he just adores his papa and grandma! I'm getting excited for this change :)
5th: Josh graduates with his BS in Environmental Engineering in MAY! We have been so blessed to attend USU and have loved out time here. I'm so proud of Josh and to see the change in him over the 4 years of attending a great school. He's maintain high grades and a great family through it all. Love him!
6th: Our ward has split this last week and we got the boot. In the meeting they said all of you have that have changed wards have now been released from you current callings. Yes I cried! I've learning so much for the 29th ward and came to love the people in it. I changed into a person that I want to be in my various callings. I will miss the friends I've made but am trying to be excited about the change! At least one of my best friends, Traci gets to come with me :) I'm looking forward to making new friends in the 10th ward. I will always remember the 29th ward and how it worked so well together, truly a ward full of love.
7th: Baby in 11 weeks !!!! Crazy exciting Changes coming for sure! Not to mention the change in my body over the last 29 weeks :)
Through these changes I hope I become a better mom, wife, friend and person! can't wait to see what other changes will happen in 2012 :)

Being a full time MOMMY :)

Today is the first day of me being able to stay home with my cute little Logan! We've had lots of fun but I wanted to write my feelings of being a stay at home mom instead of a working one in case someone else has this dilemma :)

With baby #2 on the way Josh and I knew that we wanted me home with both kids but we hadn't really thought of the option of having me stay home BEFORE #2 comes. No matter how we tried the finances just didn't add up to have me stay home. However, we both knew it was time, Logan is to the age that he needed to be at his home. Our insurance also doesn't cover anything on baby, so we thought where Josh will be graduating in May we could have some assistance through taxes for the next few months and help us pay for baby in June. Yes I've felt very badly of having assistance but I feel we'll pay it forward through our lifetime, it's not longterm. I went back and forth on feeling like I NEED to work because I can, and feeling like I NEED to be home with Logan. I talked to several different people about this subject.
My sister was the best person to seek advice from. She told me when she was in this point where she decided to stay home with my niece that on paper the finance never did add up but once they made the choice to have her home that it just all fell in place. Also, that I wouldn't have any regrets later in life about staying home and struggling, verses working and being financially stable. Josh and I talked a lot also and he said the most tender things about our decisions to have me home. He said right now our family doesn't need money but instead a Mommy in the home to show love to our Logan, Money will come later.
As I told my boss of my last day I still didn't have a feeling of relief and even today as I sit home on my first day as a stay at home mom I don't. I worry to much about things, But I can say this me being home is the best thing for our family right now. I just hope all else will fall in place :)
Here's to my new JOB, a Mom!!

Halloween !

Just some pictures of my darling super man! I was sad not to dress up this year, won't happen again i missed it ... Josh was a professional gamer this year :) It was so fun for Logan to be able to say trick or treat, he was confused for a while if he should say please or trick or treat :) We loved going to the mall with our friends madilyn and krista! Logan insisted that he take the small bucket out trick or treating, which i didn't argue meant less candy laying around :) Happy Halloween!
