We had a picnic at the park last week. All the cousins had a great time. Easter was another fun filled holiday with the whole family. I made dessert--texas sheet cake. Avery is growing up way too fast. Her terrible twos are right around the corner. She is adorable as ever though.

Tonight we celebrated my brother in laws birthday while he is in town for the weekend. As always he chose Filipino food! We never object of course. For those of you who don't know, I am 1/4 filipino, hence my love for the food. Well, some of the food. Luckily, my dad learned to cook our favorite dishes from my filipino grandma (my mom's mom). We had chicken and pork adobo, pork and shrimp pansit, egg rolls and rice. It was delicious! I volunteered for dessert. I've been in the mood to bake but just didn't have a reason ( so thanks Trina for giving me a reason to bake). We are obsessed with cupcakes so that's what I made. Red velvet is my brother in laws favorite flavor so I made my first ever red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. They were delightfully delicious (josh ate three so they must have been tasty). I am so glad to have family so close to celebrate with! Keep the birthdays/holidays coming!!!!
On Wednesday we went to lunch at Sweet Tomatoes. Avery refused to sit in her high chair and would only eat if she had a fork. Of course she got her way...
