December 2011

If you are my facebook friend you already know, but for those who aren't....

We are having a BOY!

We are so excited. My mom and I have already gone shopping for boy clothes. I'll be honest, they are definitely not as cute and fun as girl clothes. We bought tons regardless.

He was not in the least bit shy about showing us in the ultrasound that he was a boy. The ultrasound tech lady thought it was hilarious. He is measuring right on schedule and weighed about 8 ounces. It is so amazing to see all his little body parts functioning and moving around. I can't wait for my next ultrasound!

What else...oh, we moved! We are renting a cute little house with two bedrooms and a den. It is perfect for us. We still haven't decorated and hung pictures so its kinda bare, but we are enjoying it.

Josh is liking his new job that he started in September. He got a new schedule last month as well and it has been so much better! We actually get to spend time together now--well a lot more than we used to.

At the end of this month we are driving up to Utah for a wedding! I love weddings! Mostly, because it reminds me of mine. I am sure I will try to get Josh to watch our wedding video a million times. He will probably only watch it once (if I am lucky). So the wedding is of Curt (Josh's brother) and Emily. We are counting down the days till we get to play in the snow and sit by the fire. Josh, miraculously, got one day off of work (the airport is way too busy that time of year to let many people take vacation) so he gets to fly home. Avery and I have to drive home. BOO. I hate driving in the winter. I have horrible memories of driving to/from Salt Lake to Phoenix in the snow and I am pretty much terrified to do it all by myself. So pray for sunshine...

Avery is growing and as cute as ever. Her little personality is adorable. She is super sassy and is learning what it takes to get what she wants. She has Josh all figured out and knows if she says two little magic words to him he will practically give her anything. Its adorable to watch. She loves watching Disney movies. Her favorites are: 101 Dalmations, Cinderella, Bambi, and The Little Mermaid.

I am excited for Christmas and I can't wait to see what Santa is going to bring this year!

PuMpKiN pAtCh

On Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins. We went with my mom, sisters and all their kids. It was so much fun!

Avery--not the best listener when it comes to taking her picture.

What a cute bunch of kids!

They had this huge jumpy thing. Avery wouldn't go without me so I got to be a kid again for a few minutes.

I just don't have the same energy level though...
Trina and Kage finally came and joined us.

 No explanation needed...

Avery loved seeing all the animals they had.

 Adyson and Koyer

Kage, Avery and I got to ride together. Avery drove the whole time.

We are so lucky to have family close by so we can go do fun things with them! Avery loves being with all her cousins and has so much fun with them!

San Diego Trip 1, Part 1 and Avery's Birthday

Finally! Here are some pictures from our trip to San Diego in July. Avery and I drove with my mom and met up with my sister Kirsten and her family. My dad has been working in San Diego on their trolley system for about 6 months so he took us to some of his favorite places to eat while we were there. We did lots of fun stuff!

 My niece, Adyson

My niece, Ainsleigh and I...it was super windy so don't make fun of my hair.

I have more San Diego pictures so look for those soon.

These are of Avery's 2nd birthday party. I can't believe how fast time has gone. Avery has grown up so much in the last few months. She is so fun to talk to and to play with. She is becoming very independent and wants to do everything by herself. She has her cute little sayings that just make me smile over and over again. We just had a little family party. We are so glad Josh's mom and sister were able to fly down to celebrate with us!

 Avery's birthday invitations.

 Chocolate covered oreos

 Rice Krispie Treats.

 Sugar cookies.

 The birthday girl!

We had pizza for dinner--it is one of Avery's favorite foods.

My sister, Katrina, made this pinata for us. Isn't she talented? Avery was first up and of course made no damage. Throughout the party and for the next couple days Avery kept talking about how Minnie was broken. Maybe hitting Minnie and breaking her head open wasn't the best idea.

We played pin the bow on Minnie Mouse.

Here are a few pictures of Avery opening her presents. She got a lot of fun stuff this year. Thanks everyone!

 Aren't her TOMS adorable?!

We just got back from San Diego yesterday so I will hopefully post those pictures with the rest of our first San Diego trip in July.

And again, I deleted my blog list so if you don't see your blog under my "friends and family" list, leave your url in a comment or email me at kmitts85@gmail.com
