Our Christmas Babe

Merry Christmas to everyone! So I wanted to write about Myles' labor and delivery, because I've been meaning to do it but as soon as I sat down he woke up. :) So due to the fact that I am now typing with one hand, that story will have to wait for next time. But for now I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Today is our 4 year anniversary! I am the luckiest girl to be married to Kenny. He is so sweet and perfect for me! I can't believe it's been 4 years already. We've made some great memories so far and I know that will continue in the years to come. Kenny surprised me today by coming home 4 hours early from work. I love my Kenny! He's the best!

More of Baby Myles

As you could probably tell from the last post, Kenny wrote it. He is so cute and sweet to do that, because he knew how badly I wanted to share photos with everyone of our new son. However, he didn't put any of him and Myles together, which are some of my favorite.

So this post is for my amazing husband who helped me every single step of the way in labor and delivery and our cute new addition, Myles Benjamin Ludwig.

I love them both very much! Kenny is already such a great dad!

BABY MYLES

Baby Myles is here!!!!!! 8lbs 2.5oz. 20inches long.
He was born 12/10/08 at 4:48pm

This is a really good picture of him. His Aunt Tyra is holding him

Here's Jandi holding Myles on Thursday. Sorry you can't see Myles, but doesn't Jandi look super cute? (I'd say smokin hot, but super cute is a bit more apt for replies).

Here he is in the car seat. He really likes it. He is wearing his going home outfit. The hoody says "Mommy's Little Monster" on it. He likes to burrow his head when he is wrapped up so a lot of the times his beanie covers his eyes.

Here is Jandi and Myles at home today. We got home and my parents were puttin' the screws on me to send them some pictures. I turned to ask Jandi a question and found this. I quickly turned on the camera and snapped a shot.

A Baby Shower and a Belly Shot! ☺

My wonderful sister, Krystal, threw me a baby shower a couple of weeks ago. She is so good at decorating and planning things. Everything turned out so cute! It was a lot of fun!

Here's a few pictures from the shower.

For food we had mini cupcakes and different kinds of popcorn, because I've loved popcorn even more than usual since I've been pregnant. At the shower there was some peanut butter popcorn, and I haven't stopped thinking about it since! It was amazing!

Guessing how many blue m&m's was one of the games we played. We also played this cute baby animal game and then we filled out a mad lib. It was the story of the birth of our baby and everyone got to help fill it out. The story turned out really funny!

Some friends and family that came.
I got some of the cutest quilts! This one is from a friend in the ward. I love all the dinosaurs!
This quilt is from my sister, Ylfe. She couldn't be there but she sent it. It's so soft and goes perfectly with his room! It's a jungle/safari type theme.
My little sister, Tess, made this quilt for me, and a matching bumper pad. So cute! I love it! She too couldn't be there, but sent it for the party.
And this adorable quilt was made by my sister-in-law, Tyra. She was able to be there. I love it! It's so cute! And once again, perfect for his room! All these ladies are so talented, and I am so lucky to be the recipient of such beautiful quilts!
And my wonderful Parents-in-laws sent me a jogging stroller!!! I am so excited for it! They surprised me with it by sending it to my mom first and then it was at the baby shower. I love it! I kept strolling it around our apartment when I got home. I can't wait to use it with our little man. Thank you Mom and Dad Ludwig! :)
I also must thank my mom and dad for providing us with a new dresser for our little boy! My mom took us to IKEA last week to pick one out. I just finished putting his clothes in it! :)

Kenny and I have been so blessed with help from everone. We are very grateful to both of our families and our friends.

Okay, so I know this is like the never-ending post but I have one more picture and it's the latest belly shot. This was taken on Sunday after church. And the countdown begins! ☺

♥Happy Birthday to my Kenny♥

This post is dedicated to my wonderful husband, Kenny! He's so supportive and loving and he works so hard for our family! I love that boy! He's an amazing husband and I know he'll be a great father too.

Today is his birthday. He has now joined me at the age of 26! :)

The poor guy is sick though and so we've spent all day inside. I feel so bad for him. All he wanted for a treat were cupcakes.
Despite the fact that he's been sick we've had a really fun day together, just hangin' out in our p.j.'s catching up on The Office and watching Kung Fu Panda. Happy Birthday, Babe! I love you! :)

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Kenny and I went to the ward Trunk-or-Treating party.
It was really fun!
I dressed up as a ladybug and Kenny was Teen Wolf. However, since he had fangs in his mouth all the young women in the ward and some of the leaders thought he was supposed to be Edward from the Twilight series. It was so funny, because Kenny doesn't like those books. I love them though! Oh and the young women affectionately call our little growing baby, Edward. They think I'm having a vampire baby! Gotta love the young women! :)

Anyway, we hope you all had a great Halloween!

Family Home Evening

Usually we get together with some other couples on Monday nights and do FHE's together, but this Monday it didn't work out. So, I begged Kenny to make graham cracker houses together for Halloween, like haunted houses. I could tell at first he wasn't thrilled with the idea, but he said 'yes' anyway because he's just so darn nice. I'm so glad we did! We had so much fun, and it was cute because Kenny asked me a few days ago when we'd make more graham cracker houses. I knew he was way too creative not to get into it! :)

Here we are hard at work on our spooky houses!

The finished products! :) Kenny's is on the left and mine is on the right. We had so much fun doing this! The fun thing was that we ran out of graham crackers and the ones left were broken. So we had to improvise. We decided that it made them even spookier looking with broken roofs and all.

And now we eat! I can't wait for Halloween!

The 3rd Trimester...

This week marks me at 8 months. I can't believe I am 8 months pregnant! I have so much to do before this little guy gets here!
I have to say that the 3rd trimester is proving to be more tiring and uncomfortable than the 2nd, and I kinda miss my energy. I've had some weird tailbone issues among other things this last month, but I really can't complain. I think I have it a lot easier than some women. Plus, our baby is healthy and continually moving.

So here's a shot of my 8 month belly! This was taken yesterday after church.

Okay, can I just have one more complaint? I wish people would just smile at me and say 'hi'. Instead they feel they must comment on how big my belly is or they continually ask when I'm due. I think I will make a shirt that says, "Baby boy, due December 19th, and yes he's growing big as well as my bulging belly!" I know people are just interested and trying to be nice, but sometimes I'm just not in the mood. Am I the most horrible pregnant woman ever? I know, I know, I should just smile and not let it bug me, but it's hard!

Our Little (growing) Man!

This post is way overdue, but I wanted to share our ultrasound pictures of our baby boy! :)

This is him at 10 weeks, when the doctor needed to find out how far along I was. He looks like a little lima bean!

22 Weeks!
Profile shot! I think this one is my favorite. He looks like he has Kenny's nose, but like I can really tell. :)

And this last one we like to call, "Baby Skeletor". It's a face shot. It's okay, if you're thinking it looks a little creepy. We feel the same way. But, and I know this will sound crazy, while we were having the ultrasound I swear he smiled at us. I know, I know, he probably didn't, but it looked like it!

Okay, so there's one more ultrasound pic that I really want to post, but Kenny said it's a little weird to post because it's of his "boy parts". The only reason why I want to share it is because it's so funny, and our little man is really proud to be a boy. He's not a modest little boy that's for sure!

Kenny is at work right now and I'm so tempted to just upload the picture and post it, but I won't. If I come back in an hour and post it then you'll know I just couldn't overcome the temptation! :)
Oh, and thanks to all who have helped me find resources to make our blog cute! The new, cute blog will be coming soon! :)

The Spiderwig's

Almost four years ago to the date, when Kenny and I were still engaged, he was bitten by a Black Widow spider and I was bitten by a Hobo spider.

We were bitten just a few weeks apart, but still we thought we had some sort of spidery connection. :)

Kenny's leg got huge and when you poked your finger in it, the indent would stay. My knee and the skin around it basically started to rot.

It was gross! If you want to see what a bite looks like you're going to have to research that on your own. I just couldn't bring myself to post the gross images. The spider pics are bad enough!
We both survived these encounters and feel grateful that we kept all our limbs, but we are both a little disappointed that we came out of the experience with no super spidey powers. Apparently neither spider was radioactive. We are now hoping that these powers will be passed on to our future children. Although my dad continues to tell me that children are enough of a handful without walking up walls and shooting webs at their parents, but we continue to hope! :)

Thus far, the doctor has said that our son possesses no extra spidey powers, but if he does later we will be changing our last name to Spiderwig. Kenny, Jandi, and Baby Spiderwig. :)
Okay, sorry for the gross spider pics. I promise my next post will be of fun prego and ultrasound pics! By the way, where do I get cute backgrounds for our blog? Help!

Scary Mullet Dream!

Okay, so I do have respect for people that still sport the mullet. I mean, seriously that's a brave thing to do. However, I do not want my future son to have a mullet.

Last night I had the craziest dream. I dreamt that our baby boy was coming early and I had to have a C-section for some reason. I'm not sure why. Anyway, the doctor said they had to do the C-section with an exacto-knife. Yeah, scary! And Kenny couldn't be there yet. He was coming later or something, so my mom was there. So then our baby boy comes out and he can walk and talk and has a full head of hair. He looked like a two-year old. Plus, he was wearing a fuzzy, blue zip-up sleeper. Weird!

So the nurse hands him to me and I get to hold him for a second and then he wants to run around the hospital room and play. At this point I was sad that I didn't get to hold my baby for very long and my mom was mad that he was running around. I asked the doctor if it was normal that he could already walk and talk. She said, that they'd had hundreds of babies that had shown some early development and that it was nothing to worry about.

Our baby at this point was still running around the room and my mom was furious. My mom goes to pick him up and pulls out something from her purse. The next thing I know she sets him down on my lap and he's got this crazy long mullet and he's wearing a flannel shirt! My mom leaves the room and Kenny comes in to see that our first baby has just been given a mullet by his Grandma.

Then I woke up and could not get back to sleep.

Can you see why I was a little freaked out?! :) Just pray for our baby that he doesn't come out with hair like this!

26 Years Young!

Today is my 26th birthday! I thought I might feel a little bit old, but I feel great! I loved being 25, but 26 is going to be a great year too. I can feel it.
Today has been a great day. My sister surprised me and took me out to lunch and then we went shopping. When I got home Kenny had made me dinner. He is the cutest person ever! He gets so creative with cooking. He made me fettucine with a portobello mushroom, asparagus, and a greek salad. It was very tasty. I love that guy! He's the best!
I've been telling him the last couple years that I wanted to learn to paint. This year he got me some acrylic paints and brushes. I'm excited to paint my first picture!
After dinner we went to my sister's house and had a birthday party. My sister had decorated with Strawberry Shortcake decorations because I wanted angel food cake with strawberries and whip cream. It was so fun. One of my nephews gave me a quarter and an airplane made out of popsicle sticks. He also gave me a card that said, "Jandi rools!" on the front. It was so cute! I'm keeping that card forever. Here are some pics of my first day of being 26!
Here is the fabulous dinner Kenny made me!

One of my friends brought me flowers last night. It was really sweet of her!

These are my 26 year old feet! I have always liked taking pictures of feet for some reason. Sorry if this is gross to some people. I know not everyone appreciates feet the way I do. :)

All in all, my birthday was wonderful!

The Past Few Years!

We've given in and decided to create a blog! If you haven't seen us the past few years here's what we've been up to...
We met, fell in love, and got engaged all in Rexburg, Idaho.
Were married on the only sunny Saturday in December 2004 in the Portland, Oregon Temple.

Then we moved around the next couple of years from Idaho, California, and Arizona. Now we are living in Oregon...
...and producing babies! Okay, well one baby is on the way. He is due December 19, 2008. Here I am at 23 weeks. The bump has seriously grown like crazy the last couple of weeks. This little boy in my belly is our first baby. He was not very shy during our ultrasound last week. I'm glad we were able to see what he is though.
