So here is Aadynn's birth story. When I went in for my 38 week appointment I was still only dilated to a 3 and 70% effaced. After they had put me on couch rest, it really slowed down my contractions, and they weren't picking back up, so my doctor asked me if I wanted to be induced the next the week. I told her I would think about it, and of course by the next day, I called in to say yes. I hadn't wanted to be on pitocin again, and was really nervous about having her actually here, but I just couldn't stand being pregnant any longer. So a little before 5 on Wednesday the 16th I called in to make sure they had enough room. The told me they did, and to be there at 7. I got so nervous and emotional that I almost didn't get Jason up to go. I cried while I was getting ready. I just wasn't sure I was ready for everything to change, and I didn't want to leave my boy. but my mom got to our house at 6:30 so there was no going back. We packed everything up, kissed our boy goo-bye and headed for the hospital. The day before Asher and I had talked all day about how baby sister was coming tomorrow, and that Grandma Jackson was coming to have a slumber party with him so he would know what was going on.
Anyways we got to hospital and by 9:00 we were completely checked in, with my IV done and everything. Right after they got my IV in, my doctor came in and asked if she could break my water. So we got that done and got rolling.....About 1:00 ( I think, I don't really remember) is when I finally asked for my epidural, and anesthesia came in at about 1:45. My nurse, DeAnn, came in to check me at 2:00 and I was still only a 4. :( They were having trouble getting the same area covered that they did last time, (the left side of my stomach, and top of my left leg) so they had they had me lay on my left side while they gave me a bolus. It started slowly working, then I noticed it was starting to work up higher on my torso. By the time I called the nurse back in, I was having a hard time breathing and felt like I needed to cough, but couldn't. I was numb all the way up to my armpits, and my right leg was so numb I couldn't even help move it. But my left side was finally numb enough I could hardly feel the contractions there. But they had me sit clear up and gave me some 02 and I was finally starting to be able to breathe again, when my left side started un-numbing again. So I rolled over and laid back a little, when my nurse came in, she wanted to check me. She did and said we were ready to go! She went to call my doctor, and start setting up. While she was setting up I could feel her coming down lower and told DeAnn. She came over to check again, and said I'll go call you doctor again. When she came back she said my doctor was in the hallway and she didn't think that my doctor thought she was serious as to how fast Aadynn was coming. We finally got everyone in the room and four pushes later Aadynn was here! This delivery was SOOOOOO much easier than last time and a completely different experience. We got to see her right away and I got to her for almost an hour before they even took her to be weighed because she was cold. We called my mom about an hour after she was born so she could bring Asher over to meet her first. He got his present from her (his motorcycles), but didn't want much to do with her. Jason's parents also came that night, as did my brother Krey and his wife Brandi. I was surprised that Asher left without any objection, when my mom said it was time to go, he came and gave us both kisses and left. She said he did a really good job, and only whined a little when it was time for bed. The next day my dad came down and Jason's sister Mindy and her husband Colton and son Bentley came to visit. Mom and Asher came again, and then Jason and Asher went home to let the dogs out, and I showered while Mom watched Aadynn. We ended up going home that day, but we had to wait until at least 4:30 (the babies have to stay in the hospital for at least 24 hours after they are born) so we decided to wait until we had our stork dinner before leaving. Then besides having to go back when we were about 3 miles away, because they didn't give us a copy of her discharge instructions, we just went home and spent the rest of the night relaxing!

Playing while we wait
The first time he really paid attention to her.
He loved playing with her knees at first
When we got home, he actually asked to hold her. We hadn't even tried to get him to yet because we didn't think he would.
He loved holding her
Her feet are the best part
Lovin' on sis
