Aadynn's Day

We blessed Aadynn on July 1. She was such a good little girl and was mostly quiet during the blessing, and didn't cry at all. I am so grateful that Jason is able to give our children blessings, and am so proud of the wonderful blessings he has given both of our children. I am also grateful for the family that showed came to support us. It really means so much that they came especially since I know they have other things going on, (especially in the summer) but to put that aside for us, really means a lot.
These are some pictures that Jason's sister Mindy took of Aadynn a couple of weeks after her actual blessing.

These pictures make me a little mad. Apparently Asher had gotten the camera and gotten his finger prints all over the lens, and I did know until I went to look at the pictures later. :( So there is a "fuzzy" part in all the pictures
Everyone who came, minus Jason's dad and G-ma Jorgensen who had to leave right after the blessing.

Grandpa Jorgenson

Jason's Grandpa Jorgenson passed away the end of June. We were privileged to be able to visit with him, and introduce him to his newest great-granddaughter a couple of days before he passed. He was such an amazing man, and I am so grateful for the chance I had to know him. He is truly missed.

Happy Daddy's Day!

I don't know how to express how happy I am for Jason in my life! He is the most AMAZING husband and father! He has recently (Juneish 10th) started a new job. He is still at the same company but his job title has changed from trainer to coach. Coach meaning he is over a group of people who take calls. But the best part of his new job? He gets to do it from HOME!!! It has been so wonderful and such a blessing to get to see him more often, and the fact that he usually gets off at 3 or 5:30/6:00 at the latest, when before it was almost 8:00 every night has been the best part of summer! I actually had someone ask me if I was enjoying it, or if I was ready to kill him, I imediately said "I LOVE it!" I am truly grateful for how hard he works for our family, so that I can have the privilege of staying home with our kids. It means more to me then he will probably ever know. So here is to Jason, I hope he had a wonderful Father's Day!

Jason and the kids, Happy Father's Day babe, you are awesome!

We're going to the Zoo

About a month after Aadynn was born I finally got up the courage to take both kids out by myself. We decided to go to the zoo, and asked Mindy and Bentley to come too! We had lots of fun and no major disasters which gave me some confidence that I could take both kids out by myself.

We stopped about halfway through so I could feed Aadynn and Asher could have a snack. Well Asher found the peacock that runs around the zoo and was trying to catch it. He actually almost succeeded, but I yelled at him and as soon as I did the peacock flew up on a roof and out of Asher's reach. :(

Three Weeks

Here are some pictures of the last three weeks. We have been doing really well, and I am amazed at how well Asher does with Aadynn. He loves her so much, and is so protective of her. He gets really worried when people hold her and will constantly take me over to them and try to get her back. He still loves to hold her hands or feet, and loves to rub her forehead. He will occasionally still ask for her, just to give her hug and gives her back! It has been such a relief to see how good he is with her, and how much he already loves her! He hasn't really been jealous of her at all, and is still my little buddy! She may run into some trouble when she wants to start dating. I have a feeling any guy she dates is going to have to go through her big brother first! At her appointment when she was 2 days old she weighed 7lbs 2oz and at her two week appointment she was back up to birth weight at 7lbs 12oz. That is exactly what Asher weighed at one month!
All ready for her doctor appointment at two days old. We had to go in then because we left the hospital so soon.

First Camping Trip

Aadynn got to go on her first camping trip (just a day trip) a little over a week after she was born. We didn't end up doing much because it was either, pouring rain, snowing, or the wind was blowing so hard you thought it would tip over the trailer! We only went up for the day because our trailer still needs some work done before we can take it out, and Aadynn was only a weekish old. But we got to visit with cousins, aunts, and uncles, play some games, watch a movie, Dad went for a ride, and Asher even got to play outside for a little right before we left! Hopefully next time we go, the weather cooperates a little better!

Birth Story

So here is Aadynn's birth story. When I went in for my 38 week appointment I was still only dilated to a 3 and 70% effaced. After they had put me on couch rest, it really slowed down my contractions, and they weren't picking back up, so my doctor asked me if I wanted to be induced the next the week. I told her I would think about it, and of course by the next day, I called in to say yes. I hadn't wanted to be on pitocin again, and was really nervous about having her actually here, but I just couldn't stand being pregnant any longer. So a little before 5 on Wednesday the 16th I called in to make sure they had enough room. The told me they did, and to be there at 7. I got so nervous and emotional that I almost didn't get Jason up to go. I cried while I was getting ready. I just wasn't sure I was ready for everything to change, and I didn't want to leave my boy. but my mom got to our house at 6:30 so there was no going back. We packed everything up, kissed our boy goo-bye and headed for the hospital. The day before Asher and I had talked all day about how baby sister was coming tomorrow, and that Grandma Jackson was coming to have a slumber party with him so he would know what was going on.
Anyways we got to hospital and by 9:00 we were completely checked in, with my IV done and everything. Right after they got my IV in, my doctor came in and asked if she could break my water. So we got that done and got rolling.....About 1:00 ( I think, I don't really remember) is when I  finally asked for my epidural, and anesthesia came in at about 1:45. My nurse, DeAnn, came in to check me at 2:00 and I was still only a 4. :( They were having trouble getting the same area covered that they did last time, (the left side of my stomach, and top of my left leg) so they had they had me lay on my left side while they gave me a bolus. It started slowly working, then I noticed it was starting to work up higher on my torso. By the time I called the nurse back in, I was having a hard time breathing and felt like I needed to cough, but couldn't. I was numb all the way up to my armpits, and my right leg was so numb I couldn't even help move it. But my left side was finally numb enough I could hardly feel the contractions there. But they had me sit clear up and gave me some 02 and I was finally starting to be able to breathe again, when my left side started un-numbing again. So I rolled over and laid back a little, when my nurse came in, she wanted to check me. She did and said we were ready to go! She went to call my doctor, and start setting up. While she was setting up I could feel her coming down lower and told DeAnn. She came over to check again, and said I'll go call you doctor again. When she came back she said my doctor was in the hallway and she didn't think that my doctor thought she was serious as to how fast Aadynn was coming. We finally got everyone in the room and four pushes later Aadynn was here! This delivery was SOOOOOO much easier than last time and a completely different experience. We got to see her right away and I got to her for almost an hour before they even took her to be weighed because she was cold. We called my mom about an hour after she was born so she could bring Asher over to meet her first. He got his present from her (his motorcycles), but didn't want much to do with her. Jason's parents also came that night, as did my brother Krey and his wife Brandi. I was surprised that Asher left without any objection, when my mom said it was time to go, he came and gave us both kisses and left. She said he did a really good job, and only whined a little when it was time for bed. The next day my dad came down and Jason's sister Mindy and her husband Colton and son Bentley came to visit. Mom and Asher came again, and then Jason and Asher went home to let the dogs out, and I showered while Mom watched Aadynn. We ended up going home that day, but we had to wait until at least 4:30 (the babies have to stay in the hospital for at least 24 hours after they are born) so we decided to wait until we had our stork dinner before leaving. Then besides having to go back when we were about 3 miles away, because they didn't give us a copy of her discharge instructions, we just went home and spent the rest of the night relaxing!

She's Here!

Introducing........Aadynn Aliece James. Born on May 16th at 4:18. 7lbs 12oz and 21inches long. She doesn't look like Asher did as a baby and I'm still not completely sure who she looks the most like. I think she's kind of  a mix of me and Jason. Jason says she looks like me. We'll see as she gets older if she changes her looks or not. Right now she is just plain beautiful! I'll write up the whole birth story later, but here are some pictures of our sweet little girl!
