One more quick project.....

This is Taylor's Monkey neck pillow. This pillow was promised to him at Easter when all the girls got aprons. (see April posts) He of course didn't want an apron and I thought this was a good alternative. Taylor chose the fabrics (in April) and I promised to get it done.... Well it's only a "few" months later and it's done! Started Monday and done Tuesday. (With all the life and craziness in between) Everyone loved it so much they all want one now. Even Jack. :) He told Taylor his next plane trip he is stealing it. This was not the easiest animal I have ever made but it was fun. Not sure if anyone else will be getting one anytime soon though. :)
Check out the cute face on this guy.... :)

Recent Projects....

I am breaking from my usual order of things to post a few recent projects... First the aprons... Soon I will have a few up on Ebay to sell. Tell all your friends and I will post the link when they are all finished and up for sale!
This one was a "Very Late" birthday present for Ann (jack's Mom). Well she is my Mom too. :) I just love her and we miss them so much. All I could think of was her looking so cute in this serving Thanksgiving dinner. :) It has a more vintage feel to it.
This is the back side of Sarah's apron.

The front. Unfortunately this pattern had no adjustable straps and it was a bit too big for her neck! I will have to fix that when she comes in January! Next time this one is made It will have adjustable straps!!!! :) Love you Sarah.

The back of Gracie's Halloween apron. Too bad she can't model all my aprons for me. She was begging for another and this pattern was so cute and easy!

The front of the apron. Cute girl!

Happy 14th Birthday Cheyenne!!!!!!

On July 16th of this year Cheyenne turned 14!!!!!! Holy Cow. Time flies. It was just yesterday that I was telling her she can't go to Stake dances till she is 14, thinking that is a lifetime away, and now she can go!!!!!! Wow. We had a fun birthday party this year with just a couple of her friends and all the kids joined in too. We decided to have a cupcake decorating party! We looked up as many cupcakes as we could and bought supplies. They came up with some of the cutest cupcakes and had a blast! And we all went to the dollar theatre and saw Iron Man 2. (good movie) Cheyenne is a beautiful daughter and I love being with her. She is friendly and kind, helpful and fun, a great student and a great writer, and such a great singer. She has a beautiful spirit and Heavenly Father has blessed her with a gift of being able to express herself so well with her words. Her talents are many and her gifts form Heavenly Father astound me. I am so grateful to be her mother, and too have her a part of our family. Check out the cool cupcakes we made together. :) Love you Chy. Her Cherry Happy Birthday Cupcake.....

Found a few more....

I found a few more pictures of our hike.... Jack, Gracie, Sophie, and Anna
We found a caterpillar and Liv was in love with it.
It was pretty funny watching Kristen freak out about it. :)

Don't squeeze it Liv! :)

Gracie would only hold it on the stick.

OUR PEOPLE........ :)

We were so lucky this summer to have our awesome friends come and visit! The Millecam family. We love these guys so much. We always joke that their family are "our people". People we can share anything with, we are totally comfortable with, would go anywhere with, and would live next door to for the rest of our lives if we could. :0) Unfortunately for them our basement wasn't finished so we gave up the Master Bedroom for the whole family. (Jack and I shared an air mattress out in the family room) We had such a great time even though it was way too short. We had fun hanging out, going to church, and hiking doughnut falls in Big Cottonwood Canyon. It's crazy how fast kids grow up when you don't see them for a while. Liv and Sophie were huge! I couldn't get over Sophie talking!!!! :) Our great new friends Sarah and John Kocsis and their family were so great to come with us on the hike. We are so blessed with many freinds and family. I wish we could all just live in one big neighborhood of the "Davis Family and Freinds" :) Anyone is invited to stay and hang with us anytime! (Basement is almost done!) Nate and Kristen

Jr Draper Idol

This summer Cheyenne and I decided to take a chance and try to win some money! Draper Idol and Jr Draper Idol. Cheyenne competed against twelve other kids ranging from 14 to 16. She did so good and we loved being a part of this fun competetion. She sang Carrie underwood's UNDO IT! We were so glad we got to have Ramie and Sabina with us and Sarah and kids and Grandma came too. These pictures are with Miss Draper, Shelby. She was such a sweetheart.

Fourth of July!!!!

We had such a fun fourth this year. It wasn't hot at all! Shocking to me!!! We got up early to head down for a fun fourth of July Pancake breakfast at our community center and the kids got to decorate their bikes and do a bike parade! Grace loved this the most of anyone... no surprise there. We got tons of fourth of July tatoos and had a great time. That night we all got to go to the Stadium of Fire at BYU stadium. Carrie Underwood was performing and I was so excited to see her! In hopes of getting noticed, the girls all made Tshirts to show their "love" for Carrie. We bought iron on's and even looked up how to cut up your tee's to make them look cuter! Anna's shirt said Carrie is a, "Rock Chick" and then on the back it said "Come on Carrie... Undo it!" (one of her new songs) We were able to take Jack's boss and buddy Dave and his kids, Makenzie, Kyle, Aubrey, and Luke. Is was a really fun night full of fireworks!!!! I have never seen so many at one time in my life! And I loved how they honored the Eagle Scouts and our amazing men and women in the Armed Forces. It was well worth the traffic, which we lucked out on because my family had had nightmareish (sp?) experiences in the past. Sadly the picture of the blurry blonde in my collage is the best picture I could get of Carrie with my sad camera. :( We hoped to be seen by her, but no luck. Maybe next time!

Fourth of July!!!!

Ramie and Cheyenne had so much fun designing their shirts.... Cheyenne's said... "Carrie Underwood" on the front and a line from one of her new songs on the back.... "First man I see, I'm gonna take him down" and Ramie's Said "Those lips, that face, that voice..." on the front and "Carrie Underwood" on the back. Cute girls and cute shirts!!!!

Fourth of July!!!

Gracie looked so stinkin cute in the shirt we made her for the Carrie Underwood concert! The front said "Carrie Read my lips..." and the back said "YOU ROCK!!!" It was so cute and so fun making all these Tshirts for the concert. All the kids had a blast creating them. Wish Carrie could have seen it!!!!! :)
