We have been lucky to have lots of visitors this summer, with more on the way. Here are some random pictures of us playing (mostly in the sun, sand, and water). Lazy life has been great, but it is about time for us all to go back to school and work. I will sure miss having the kids home all day with me. They are so special!
We took a trip to the Marianna Caverns in Florida just an hour from our home. The kids loved seeing the formations. Jade got to stomp her light up shoes in the pitch black to show how much just a little light can lead you out of a cave. They got to see a cave cricket, feel a column, and they each chose a souvenir to take home. Great day.
Statue to honor the CCC who made the cave tour ready back during the depression. They still have some of their tools that they used on display.
Waiting for the cave tour to begin
I sure love my family!
Slimy!
Of course we spent lots of time at the Florida Beaches...
We celebrated our birthdays. Man, they keep coming faster and faster!
We had a tree frog camp out in our pool umbrella for about a week.
We spent a little time every day building legos. I think I enjoyed myself more than my son.
We held a few play dates. Cute kids!
All three kids learned how to dive. Abigail is the best. She can go in without a splash. Not that this picture does it justice :)
The kids became obsessed with poker. I don't know how or why this happened, but now we are like a full blown casino. Look at that poker face!
The kids have been doing chores each day, and earning points. Abigail spent some of her points on a Daddy-Daughter date at the skating rink .
We celebrated the Fourth of July...One of my very favorite holidays!
The Cammacks came from San Antonio and stayed for a week and a half. We did all sorts of fun things. Here we are at Blue Springs. The water was really cold, but the kids were brave.
Jeremiah, my ninja nephew
Amanda, the beautiful.
Classic.
We went to a date night at our friends. It was a Western Movie theme. We always have a great time with these guys. And for the record, Jake looks smokin' hot in boots!
Kartchners, Kimballs, and Calls. Fun bunch!
My sweet little girl is growing up...trying to enjoy each day.
Fine Arts Museum in Montgomery. It had a cool screen that the kids spent lots of time in front of making rainbow art.
The Grimmius family came just before summer and we did tons of things with them as well. Here we were in Montgomery at the White House of the Confederacy. It was so interesting! I loved the different items they had on display from the Civil war, and through some of the following years.
We took the cousins strawberry picking. Yum. We are still enjoying them one smoothie at a time.
More beach time with Nana and the cousins. The sand is so white it looks like snow or sugar.
Ok...we really need to get our family picture taken. This is the best I have for now.
