My Precious Boys

I cannot go to bed until I just write how much I love my boys. Cuter than cute. Let's start with Luke. We simply cannot get enough of him. He has the sweetest disposition and just chubby enough to just squeeze all day. He is quick to smile and loves to be tickeled and laugh. He is a great eater and simply easy going. We went to the ward Christmas party last night and when he got tired he simply fell asleep in our arms. That is new to us. Baylor was just different in that way. We'd run him home and I'd snuggle him until he fell asleep. And then at church this morning Luke was sitting in my lap at sacrament meeting and he just rests his chin on his chest and out. He just amazes me! No crying. Just a little fuss to let me know to let him relax so he can get a nap in. I love his style!

And then there is oh so precious Baylor. He is so darn cute I could just....you know, well his little voice is darling. He is saying so much now and we love it! "My piggy, Mommy" - He loves his little stuffed pig. "Where's llamee mommy" - for his stuffed llama. Today at church I mentioned playing with the tractor in nursery after sacrament meeting and he got really sad. He started to cry and pleaded "daddy, home, me, now mommy." That's lets get daddy and get out of here- no nursery.
He is so in love with his daddy. Typical - we're water color painting "What do you want Mommy to draw Baylor?" "TRACTOR...daddy, daddy, daddy...ME" Loves me to paint a tractor with him and daddy driving! I love putting him down to sleep. He loves blankies, his piggy and llama, his box of tractors, and for me to hold him and rock for just a minute before I put him in his crib. Last night he said "go away mommy," when he was ready to shut his eyes. Ok sweet pea, I love you, can't wait to see you in the morning! He loves Luke too. Really sweet with him. Will bring him toys and we are working on sharing with little Luke. Just love to see them interact. Baylor will dance for him, or say "hi Lukey" in a really cute deep voice, kinda like we do when we're playing with Luke.

Baylor has a real tender spirit. He's very sensitive. A sister in our ward was giving a talk in sacrament meeting and began to cry when mentioning a trial she was going through. Baylor looks at me with his big blue eyes and says "Mommy, why cry, why cry mommy?" I told him she's going through a hard time, but that she'd get better. "Oh....okey mommy, okey." He just melts my heart, he is so sweet.

We saw Santa last night and over the past couple weeks we've talk about the big guy in the red suit with the white beard. I act like Santa sometimes and then say "What would Baylor like for Christmas?", in my best Santa voice. With gusto, Bay says "Tractor!", of course, and then we applaud him! Well, last night we put this practicing to the test. I really thought he wouldn't talk with Santa or even sit on his lap, but he did, both and loved it! He was so fun to watch. He was elated to sit on his lap and he just said over and over, "Tractor me, tractor me.............tractor me, okey." Josh and I were just laughing it was so fun for us to see him make sure Santa new what to bring!

I really need to jump online more often and write because our precious boys amaze us everyday and I want to remember.

Lukey Gukey

We are in love with our Luke. He is such a rolly polly happy guy. He is easy to smile and giggle. Loves to coo and talk to us. Baylor loves to smile at Luke to make him smile, so sweet! Unfortunately it's difficult to capture the smile, but here's some pictures of our sweet baby!

Brothers

Two boys, what a treat to have these brothers. We are excited for them to be buddies and hope to help them to look out for one another and love each other:) Baylor is already so proud to be the big brother! Blessing for Luke

We dressed Luke in a sweet, bright white blessing outfit for his special day. Daddy blessed him to...(will add when I find the notes Hanim gave me) Luke was calm and slept most of the meeting. Right before it ended he had a big poopy up his back. I got him cleaned up in the mother's room and he exited the building just in his diaper. Luckily Grandma took this picture of the four of us before church. And double lucky Aunt Mel told me that breast milk poo stains can be completely bleached out by the sun, so his sweet outfit was saved - yeah!

We had a brunch afterwards with yogurt berry parfaits and ham-n-cheese croissants. We just had it in our backyard. The weather was beautiful, the cherry trees provided shade, and the family was good company. Thanks to mom for helping us pull it all together. How do we get anything done without her? She came Saturday night to help us prepare and to help get the boys ready for 9am church. Josh has meetings 'til 8:15am, so I was so grateful she was there. We were at least 15 minutes early to church:) Baylor had a blast playing with what seemed like a gazillion cousins - kids everywhere! Lets throw parties more often! Actually, the night before I was cursing, what had I gotten myself into.... trying to feed 40 people.... cutting up fruit and making granola at 10pm... but it was really fun and everyone ate well and had a good time. I try to lead a low stress life and it threw me out of my comfort zone. I naturally worry way too much about presenting food and making sure it tastes good, blah, blah, blah....Josh and my mom mentioned if I didn't relax they were going to dice me up and throw me in the granola. I apologized up and down after it was all over the next day and vowed either to never throw a party again or just try to be more pleasant about it:)

Daddy is 35 and 4th of July Parade

Happy Birthday Sweets! Josh turned 35 6-16-11. Mom made him a horse shoe shaped cake. Well, actually it was a bundt cake we already started eating and then thought "hey lets sing to the old man" :) You're never too old to be sung too. A horseshoe cake fits him better than a regular bundt cake anyway, right "Cowboy" as Mom always calls him!

We were in Richfield for the 4th. Baylor loved the train ride pulled by a tractor. The line was long, but Baylor didn't mind his heart was set on a ride! He also sat on several John Deere tractors a gentlemen brought to show. Giggles and ear to ear smiles from Mr. Baylor as he sat and turned the steering wheel of each one. It is so fun to see his eyes light up when trains and tractors are around. He also loved the parade which was full of tractors, a couple fire trucks and police cars. Lights, loud horns, big engines - Just loves it!

Baylor is 2!

Our baby turned 2! Baylor had Grandpa and GG up for his birthday. Their visit really made the day special! We had a great time playing outside, taking a walk, playing trains, eating cake and ice cream. Grandpa chased Baylor for long hours:) Grandpa found out Baylor does not tire:) Baylor is Mr. Personality these days. Just the cutest guy around. He loves all things tires...trucks, cars, tractors! And he loves loves loves the lawn mower! He says "mow, mow, mow" all day long. He loves to pretend he's pulling the cord just like Daddy does to start the engine. He can spot a lawn mower 10 miles out. If the neighbors garage goes up...he peers out the living room window. When he spys the tires or the handle of the mower he roars -"mow mow mow!!" If we are on a walk around the block he'll stop to watch anyone mowing their lawn, or again he'll sniff out a lawn mower just barely viewable on the other side of someone's fence. He also loves tractors and anything related to the farm! Horses, cows, chickens he loves them all. Makes going to Grandma's and playing in her big red barn really fun! When he sees a barn in one of his books he points to it then points to himself. I say, "Do you and Grandma have a big red barn?" With excitement, big smile, and big bright eyes he says "Ah" meaning yah. A couple weeks ago grandma and Baylor took a ride in a big grader - Baylor's dream come true. He even got to move the gears! He loves his train table, always up for us to play trains with him. He also is loving matchbox cars, so we pick those up at Walmart for a treat. Last week he kept telling us he wanted a skateboard. He would act like he was skateboarding and point to himself - so adorable! I ended up buying him a razor scooter because it'll be easier to learn to balance on. He loved to try out his cousins razor scooters. So well be working on that. He also got a couple of trikes for his birthday. He doesn't have the peddaling down yet but loves to hop off and on them! We love when the neighbors are weed wacking, mowing or doing any sort of yard work, as Baylor will stare at them for hours. He just loves loud things and people working!! When the neighbors are done and go inside he throws his hands in the air, like where did they go! I tell them their all done! He still uses a lot of signs to tells us things, like touching his tongue when he's thirsty, rubbing his tummy when he's hungry, or pointing to himself when he sees something he wants, but he says a good many words too. He says "mommy, "daddy", "Guke" for Luke, "tractor" comes out real clear, he neighs for a horse, mow mow, "blow blow" for the blower daddy uses to clear our sidewalks of grass, na-ma for Grandma, "ah" for yah, no no no, "help me", "nease" for please....He'll attempt to say most words we ask him too, so doing good! Just a doll!

Baby Luke

Luke will be 3 months old in a couple days. He is such a precious happy guy. We went to Dr. Jed yesterday for a persistant diaper rash and will get that under wraps with some perscription cream. He was weighed there and came in at 15lbs! He is one chubby baby:) He's been a big smiler since around 6 weeks and he just started to chuckle at 2.5 months when we tickle under his chin. He was sleeping about 8 hours a night at 2 months but currently does about 6 hours then two 3 hour blocks for a 12 hour night. He's a good little napper, too. He seems to be up for a couple hours then down for a couple hours for a nap. Just a joy to have in our home. I am tired with these two little ones but truly you just couldn't trade the joy for anything. Baylor has been in love with baby Luke from day one. He is very sweet with him...loves to give him kisses or sit on the couch and hold him, the best he can:) Luke coos and alot, just loves to have mommy and daddy talk with him and he'll coo right back with big eyes and lots of smiles. Just precious! He is a tummy sleeper. Around 3 weeks he was real uncomfortable and quite gaggy when he was sleeping on his back so we flipped him over and he sleeps so much better. We just take all the precautions so he sleeps safely- like firm mattress, no loose blankies and a cool room. He is currently working hard at rolling over - he's started to lift his chest off the floor and use his forearms to push up. Then he's been pushing his bum in the air. I bet he rolls over within the next month. We feel so blessed to have our 3 precious babies. I remember worrying how I would handle two at home before Luke was born, then once he was here all I wondered about was how we ever lived without him...like a puzzle piece was missing and now he filled that empty space and fit right in:) Luke's newborn pictures were taken when he was 2 weeks 3 days old and the picture of him smiling ear to ear with daddy was taken at 2.5 months.

Grandma and Baylor

Grandma drove down yesterday to take Baylor for a special Grandma and Baylor weekend. Baylor was so excited as he awaited her arrival. He had his wranglers and cowboy boots on...so adorable! They played in the barn. Fed the kitty's, horses and dogs. Baylor can say the name of his horse "Annie." He took a nap there and got to sleep in Grandma's bed last night. They went to the little Logan zoo and had a picnic lunch. He had chocolate milk and lollipops - Grandma is the best! We miss him, but he is having the time of his life! He loves Grandma so much, she is so fun and makes him feel so special!!
