Parker is Three Months Old!

A week and a half ago our sweet Parker turned three months old! He is such a darling and I have loved these last three months with him. Being a mom second time around is certainly easier.

Parker is a chunk! He is super heavy. I'm not really sure how heavy since he didn't get weighed this month, but when I'm carrying him around in his car seat it feels like my arm is going to fall off. So hopefully I end up really buff from carrying this big kid around all the time!

At 8 weeks old, Parker was laying on his blanket in the family room while Jordan and I were rushing around putting Logan to bed, and when we came back 5 minutes later, he had rolled himself onto his tummy. So he rolled that way for the first time with no one watching! This is now his favorite trick, and we can't keep him on his back for more than a few seconds!

He started sleeping on his tummy pretty much right after he learned how to roll to his tummy, which was scary for the first few days but now we're pretty used to it.

Speaking of sleeping, Parker is still a crappy night sleeper. He sleeps exactly the same as he did right after he was born, so waking twice a night. And it's super random times, too. Sometimes he's up at 12:00 and sometimes at 2:00. And sometimes at 4:00 and sometimes at 5:30. His sleeping is so hard on us because our bodies can't get used to it, since it's at random times. When he wakes up in the morning (usually around 7:30), he has eaten so much at night he's not even hungry. He's getting sleep trained as soon as we get into our house!

Fortunately he's an excellent napper! He takes three solid naps a day. The times vary a little depending on when he gets up, but he naps between 1 hour and 3 hours per nap. Usually an hour and a half but one nap is usually longer. Once in a while he'll have a day where he'll take crap naps but I'm glad they aren't very often.

Parker still loves to play with his tongue and sticks it out every chance he gets, including during every smile.

He started to push up with his legs and likes to practice standing. He is also attempting to hold his bottle, but he hasn't quite managed it yet. Maybe soon.

He still has his awesome brown hair, which I love. It's super fun and I just love having a brown-haired boy and a blond boy!

These two are going to be little trouble makers together someday! Parker watches Logan all the time. He wants to know what Logan is doing every second. He smiles at Logan all the time. Logan tries to play with Parker and it's fun to watch. He wants Parker to be included in most of our games, although sometimes he gets a bit jealous when Daddy is holding Parker.

Sometimes Logan gets a bit rough with Parker, but Parker is usually pretty patient with him. Although sometimes he gives me a pleading look like this.

Parker has started chewing a ton. He likes to chew on his hands, on toys, washcloths, but most of all my hand. I checked his mouth a week ago and I can see the start of a tooth. I'm so sad! I don't like it when they get teeth. I feel like my baby hasn't been a baby for very long!

Parker just has the sweetest personality. He honestly never cries unless he's hungry or tired. Other than that he's a happy smiley guy. I told Jordan he just seems like he's just TOO sweet sometimes.

Parker's nicknames are Smiles and Squeaks. Logan calls him "Little Buddy" and "Bebe Parker." Parker loves to "talk" and makes cute noises all day long.

Parker also took his first plane ride this month, to grandma's house! He was really good both ways and didn't fuss much at all except when he was getting really tired and wanted to get off the plane. I didn't blame him, we all wanted off the plane!

We just love our Parker Gray. He is such a blessing in our family and we love to watch him grow...even if it seems to be going really fast!

Logan's Blog Post

I opened the computer to find that Logan had typed this "blog entry," so I decided it needed to be published. Enjoy ;)

Phoenix Children's Museum

A couple of weeks ago I used a groupon I'd gotten to take Logan and Parker to the Phoenix Children's Museum. It was awesome! We loved it and stayed for almost five hours. I honestly had to drag Logan out of there.

We made some snow cones.

Rode a dirt bike.

Parker was a good observer and didn't cry at all the whole time. He just hung out with me and snoozed.

We did some grocery shopping.

And played with this air scarf tossing tunnel thing.

Parker either hung out in the stroller or the Tula, depending on what we were doing at the time. This thing is so much nicer than the carrier I had with Logan! Def worth it. If you are looking for a carrier, buy a Tula!

Played outside for a while. There was a sand pit and a maze and a slide.

We stopped for lunch in the café and got a pepperoni pizza, Logan's favorite.

Me and my buddy!

Pepperoni!

Measuring out some colorful rice, but Logan called it sprinkles.

He made me a delicious pizza!

And Parker played in the baby area--I loved that they had a baby area in each room where the babies couldn't get trampled by the bigger kids.

Logan is a great hot dog server.

I think Logan's favorite thing was this ball room where they had a bunch of ramps for the balls to go down. I don't have any pictures, but he spent a ton of time in there! My favorite thing was this really tall climbing structure. I couldn't go up because it said no babies, even in carriers, but Logan wanted to go up and so I shouted directions to him from the landing. Logan is that orange shirt on the stairs.

And there he is at the very top of the structure in the rocket ship! He made it all the way to the top and didn't even get lost. I was very proud.

We had so much fun and I came right home and bought another groupon, because we have to go back!

September and October House Update!

I've pretty much been absent on my blog. Two kids are crazy, have I mentioned that? Haha. They don't leave much time for blogging currently. But Parker has blessed me with a long nap and Logan's eating a brownie and watching Paw Patrol so I'm taking advantage.

On September 8th they FINALLY did our driveway. I have no idea why they did it separate from our original slab! Such a weird time frame. But anyway, I was super happy to see them put it in.

The next day I stopped by and they were painting the exterior of the house!  That was pretty exciting. The two paint colors I liked best our neighbors had already chosen, but I like this one too. I'm wanting to paint the door green though.

Here it is all finished.

The following week, by the 15th, they had put in the tile, toilets, granite, faucets, and dishwasher. I have to tell y'all, I was not thrilled when I saw the tile with the granite. It just felt like SO much brown. I'm really hoping that when we paint and put our stuff in it won't be so much brown brown brown!

And the next week, on September 20, they had put on the roof! They had it partly done when I dropped Logan off at preschool and almost completely done by the time I picked him up two hours later! Crazy!

The next time I came by, September 27, the bathrooms were completely done! All the light fixtures were in and the towel racks were up and the glass for the shower had been installed.

Then I went out of town to my parents house for a week and got back a couple days ago. Today we went in for our first walkthrough! They've finished everything! The last things were the carpet, the front landscaping, and the blinds.

Parker liked the carpet!

The landscaping is fine...I want to put in some different plants.

And the blinds look good! I really like the valences. You can't tell from the picture but they look really good.

I can't believe it's finally DONE! I feel like this has been going on forever. It's been like another pregnancy. Hahahaha. Seriously though. 8 months. Crazy long.

We sign papers next Tuesday and then on Thursday we do another walkthrough and make sure they've fixed everything and then we should get the keys that day!! We're not going to move in until we've painted though. Jordan is trying to decide if we're going to paint or if we'll have someone paint. I've got my fingers crossed for the latter. Haha!

I'm so excited! When we close I will do a video so you guys can really see what it's like. Ahhhhhh I just can't wait to have those keys!
