Josh Gets a Chair

Josh has been completely smitten with this chair. It came from Santa (John Bosco). He plays with it pretty much non-stop - climbing up into it, then standing on it and making my heart stop. The boy has no fear. He thinks that climbing is the very best thing ever. I told Curt last night that we would have to be careful not to place the chair anywhere that he could use it as a stepping stone to more things to climb. Curt advised me that Josh is already "driving" his chair around the room. Egads. Will we survive? Start from the bottom to get the pictures in order.

Up, up, up he goes. Then he checks to see if we're watching. Posted by Picasa
Back in the afternoon for another round of "explore the chair." Posted by Picasa

Aha! Rewarded! Josh has discovered that feeding the dogs is great fun! The dogs have discovered that taking food from Josh is easy! Posted by Picasa
Sammy watches oh so patiently as Josh eats cheerios. Posted by Picasa
Fun with Jonny and a metal martini glass. Posted by Picasa
Here's Josh - ready to pack up and ship out for Christmas. Posted by Picasa
Maybe I should peel that banana? Posted by Picasa
See what happens when you turn your head for a moment? The little beastie climbed up the step stool I had left out. Thankfully Curt was paying attention. Posted by Picasa

Poor little guy was so unhappy. He's 21 pounds now, which is the 25 percentile. He's in the 45th percentile for height. Posted by Picasa

12 Month Doctor's Visit

Josh had his 12 month doctor's visit on Wednesday of this week. In this shot he's already cranky, and hasn't even gotten his shots yet. Posted by Picasa

Our days of sitting down to have a little snack are over. As soon as Curt sat down, Josh came to investigate and Fozzie began a patient vigil. Unfortunately, Josh is a bit young for tortilla chips. Posted by Picasa
Of course sometimes it's just faster to take the direct approach. :) Posted by Picasa
He does eventually find his mouth but it's very time consuming to get much food into him. Posted by Picasa
Josh did so well with eating his cake that we thought we'd give the spoon another try. He definitely has the scooping part down. It's getting the food into his mouth that's a problem. Posted by Picasa
