Newport Beach 2010

We just got back from a week long vacation down in Newport Beach with my family. We have been looking forward to this vacation for a long time and it did not disappoint! We had fun playing on the beach, going to see Karate Kid, going to Knott's Berry Farm, visiting Balboa Island, getting pedicures and going shopping. We enjoyed inhaling 2 pounds of See's Chocolate in about 2 hours and eating donuts for breakfast almost every day. We are all having troubles buttoning our pants, but it was well worth it! Zoie had so much fun playing with her cousins! She played with them all day long and I felt like I hardly saw her. Thanks to my parents for a fantastic vacation!

Zoie's Third Birthday!

Yesterday Zoie turned 3 years old. Where did the time go? She is such a sweet little girl and I fall more in love with her every day! She is starting to be very sassy and say some pretty funny things. She keeps us laughing! Since this was the first birthday that she has had that she actually is excited for, I let her pick everything out! We invited her little friends and they played at the park, had lunch, played with water balloons, and ate cake! She insisted on having a Snow White cake. I had to cut off Snow Whites legs in order for the dress to go up to her waist. Looks like Snow White might need a wheel chair now:) She also begged for a princess balloon...who knew those things cost $10?! Oh well, she was so excited so it was worth it! After her party we came home and she got her gift from mom and dad, a new princess scooter and helmet! She loved it! After playing with all of her new toys for a few hours we made pizza for dinner and ended the night with frozen yogurt! At the end of the day she said "mom, that was fun!" That little comment made me so happy that we did so much to make her day special!

Newport!

We just spent the past week enjoying my parents timeshare down in Newport! They called us the week before and said they weren't going to be able to make it so we gladly accepted the offer to take it over for them! Even though it was only an hour away from our house it was a great little vacation away from home. Josh still had to go to school so while he was away during the day the kids and I took naps, played at the park, and went swimming. I got really lucky and the kids slept great! i got a few mornings where they didn't wake up until 9! I was in heaven. On Friday and Saturday some friends came down and enjoyed the pools with us! Zoie loved having her friends to play and swim with her! On Saturday the husbands went surfing and when they got back we had a bbq and made some smores! It was a great little vacation! Thanks mom and dad!






My only regret is that I didn't take very many pictures!

Memorial Day Weekend!

We had a great Memorial Day weekend. We spent most of it lounging on a beach with some of our best friends! On Saturday we woke up around 9, packed up the car with our beach stuff, and headed down to Doheny Beach in Dana Point. We met some of our friends down there and spent the afternoon playing in the sand and watching Josh surf. Monday was pretty much a repeat of Saturday except that we went to Strands beach. Its a beautiful beach, except for the fact that you have to walk down about 100 steps to get to the sand. After we were exhausted from playing in the beach we got cleaned up and went to dinner at Javier's in Newport. It was my friends birthday so we had to celebrate! The food was yummy and we had fun hanging out with our friends! Sometimes I feel like I am on a constant vacation, I hope dental school never ends!
