Zoie is at the funnest stage right now! She says the funniest things and makes me laugh all the time! Tonight we were having family home evening and for the closing song we were singing "I Am A Child of God". We don't sing this song very often so I didn't think she would know it, but to my surprise she knew about half of the words. ( I guess she IS paying attention in nursery!) I thought it was so sweet that it made me tear up a little bit. Josh told Zoie that she needed to go and give mom a big hug and kiss so she ran over to me and gave me the sweetest little hug and kiss. When she pulled away she looked up at me, put her little hand into a fist, and said "pound it". SERIOUSLY!? We were having a mother/daughter moment and she wanted me to pound her fist. Josh and I looked at each other and just started laughing! You never know what is going to come out of her mouth!

Last week my cute niece Sydnee had a national dance competition and convention in Anaheim. Me and Zoie spent most of the week down there hanging out with my mom, Ashton, Shannon, and Sydnee! We got to watch Sydnee dance and she did so good! I seriously can't believe how good she is! Zoie loved watching her, that is when she wasn't throwing tantrums or rolling around on the ground screaming. Yes, 2 year olds are fun:) 5 days of going to bed late, waking up early, and not taking naps definitely took a toll on little Zoie! Good thing I had my mom and sisters there to keep me calm and just laugh at her with me! i guess she wasn't really THAT bad, she just had her moments! Thankfully Josh saved my sanity on Saturday when he came and took Zoie from me and brought her to the beach! It was heavenly! Don't get me wrong, I love Zo, but it was so nice to relax and hang out with my mom and sisters without chasing her around! On the last night of the competition they had a big gala for all of the dancers and their families. We all got to get dressed up and eat dinner and watch the closing program that the instructors and scholarship winners all danced in. Since Sydnee won a scholarship during a regional competition she got to dance in the show. She did so good and I had so much fun watching her!

4th of JULY!!

We had a great fourth of July this year! Our friend's parents live in Huntington Beach so we spent most of our day down there! We were able to play on the beach, have a BBQ, and watch fireworks on the beach. We had so much fun! By the end of the day we were exhausted, but it was well worth it.

Today Josh got home from school early so we went to the Huntington Library for the afternoon. My friend gave us the tickets and we had such a great time! The grounds are beautiful! It was a little hot, but not too bad. After we walked around for a few hours we took a trip to in-n-out for chocolate milk shakes! It was a great afternoon!








*On a side note.....I took Zoie to her 2 year check up and she is in the 77 percentile for height? What?! My child...taller than average! She has definitely had a growth spurt recently!
