Ok, now reach the final part of Braid.

After we finish the world 6, we have to go to the final world. The final world is untitled, but is labeled as World 1, showing that it is in fact the first event in the plot. In this world time flows in reverse. Rewinding time returns the flow of time to its normal state.

The time from 3:44 till 6:08 is when the shift button(reverse button) was pressed, mean back to the normal time when the reversed time has been reversed. At the end, the creator of this movie said :" Tim is a monster."

Think about the ending. A purging wall of flame chases Tim and the princess, all the way up to the point of Tim is found lurking outside a bedroom window. At this point everything reverses; Tim is now chasing her, not following. She is now trying to trap and block Tim from ever reaching her, not aid his progression. At the end the princess was jumping into the knight hand and flee away.

Summary

In short, Braid’s story is about mistakes, regret, and learning from both. This is played out brilliantly with the time rewinding mechanic, allowing you to do anything you please and, if it doesn’t work out, rewind time and make it right.

Tim is a scientist who develop atomic bomb.(based on the plot:"Now we are all sons of bitches") Tim is a monster, he thinks the bomb was intended to bring peace to the world. But after time by time, it has created a terrifying constant threat of destruction, which make the princess run away from him.

the Princess is not a princess nor a wife. She is just a symbol of Tim’s search for the ideal, some nigh-unattainable goal. Tim wans it, but it has gone forever.

Things the Princess could represent:
Ambition
Perfection
Obsession
Absolute Power
Nirvana
Peace

in conclude, Tim wanted to search for a new live, but those goals has gone forever, irreplaceable.

Here is the 5 different puzzle after we finished level 2 to level 6.
From top left: world 2, world 3, world 4
From btm left: world 5, world 6

as you can see, every puzzle contain Tim inside but princess only in 1st puzzle.
And also the picture became darker and darker. What happened?
