Posting a shot taken months ago at Mona Vale.

We spend a lot of our weekends in Mona Vale these days cause I started to get into body surfing. I enjoy it a lot but not sure about Olivia and wifey, they hate the sun!

I'll make them like it and hopefully we'll spend more time at the beach cause there are so many nice beaches i Sydney. Loving it!

Olivia has been doing very well since getting out of hospital, good on the apetite, her weight has increased, has been active in child care, energetic, exciting, talkative and very very funny.

I am glad she is back to herself, if not better.

We enjoy a lot spending time together.

First Pano

First Pano, originally uploaded by Jin Han.

Long since I posted a scenic shot. We haven't been on the road on weekends because of the bad weather in Sydney and also because Olivia always catches a gold on Friday.

My first pano on flickr.

A view over Wollonggong from Panorama House.

We will be going for a dawn shoot in Bondi tomorrow. Hope I can get some good shots

Banana Bread

Banana Bread, originally uploaded by Jin Han.

We're back home after staying in the hospital with Olivia for 4 days. She's good now but we have to try to get her back into shape by feeding her slowly so that she won't throw up.
First up! Banana bread my wife made for her.
Yummy!

Just Arrived!

Just Arrived!, originally uploaded by Jin Han.

This shot is taken by Yue Meng at Bondi while I was busy getting parking ticket at the background.
It is a great shot, with his camera but with my 35mm lens and my lame post processing skill.
I just like it, hope he doesn't mind my posting his work.

Now I know the short-comings of my D40.

Dead

My blog is a little dead at the moment. I've started to jumble up all my flickr and twitpic updates into the posts to try to keep it updated which makes it a little messy and lack of purpose. I have lost touched in writing and I simply don't have time to sit down long enough to write up a even a crap post, there are just too many distractions.

I have adapted to Aussie life since, wifey has started her new job and we had to send Olivia to a child care near my office in the city. So most of the weeknights were spent preparing dinner, house chores, getting ready for the next day and probably sit in front of the computer for an hour or 2 reading updates and news, by the time you know it it's already 9 and we now sleep at 9pm-ish which is so aussie.

When it comes to weekends we are mostly out of house spending time exploring the beaches, mountains and all. Time is scarce at the moment.

But feel free to use the chatterbox at the side bar.

Or get updates from me at my Flickr and Twitter or Facebook.
You can also get updates from my mobile uploads at my Twitpic.

I have also started a minisite to gather all my facebook, twitter and flickr updates at my Tumblr which I am still struggling to find a purpose for it but anyway, you can look at it if you really have lotsa time to spare.

Of course I will still come back and check if there's any comments and chatter updates once in a while.

Till when I get back my inspiration to write/reinvent my blog with an easier style of postings, adios.

TWA 3

I have a sneaky feeling that I'll be knocked off from the top this week although my lineup looks good. I've been extremely lucky to have been able to have 3 good match ups for my front 3, which reaped lots of points for me. I am going to keep them as my core. As for the Man Utd vs Arsenal match, I am putting all my money on a convincing Man Utd win, my only doubt is Foster which be dangerous but I have confident in MU that they'll keep a clean sheet.

Last week I went with Cahill which I hoped can nick in a goal but instead scored a disappointing 2 points. This week he'll be up against Wigan so I hope it's the best time for him to open his account this season.

So, my only 2 changes are Vermaeleen (I have lost interest in spelling his name correctly which I absolutely couldn't care less) and Fabio for Palacios and Insua. Both has good match ups with Insua who can supply some good crosses for Torr.

All is good this week I hope.

Though with the sneaky feeling.

Lawrence Hargrave Drive

Lawrence Hargrave Drive, originally uploaded by Jin Han.

Excerpts from wikipedia

Lawrence Hargrave Drive is a scenic coastal road and popular tourist drive connecting the northernmost suburbs of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia to both Wollongong and Sydney.

The road begins at the Old Princes Highway, Helensburgh (Southern Freeway exit) and passes through Stanwell Tops to descend the steep Illawarra Escarpment at Bald Hill, the site of a spectacular lookout and hang gliding area. The road then passes south through Stanwell Park and Coalcliff to cross the renowned Sea Cliff Bridge. The Sea Cliff Bridge construction was completed in December 2005, replacing the former cliff-hugging route which was prone to rockfalls.[2] The road then winds its way through the coastal villages of Clifton, Scarborough, Wombarra, Coledale, Austinmer and finally Thirroul where it meets the Princes Highway at the bottom of Bulli Pass.

The road is named after Lawrence Hargrave, an Australian aviation pioneer and explorer who had a house at Stanwell Park and flew his devices from Bald Hill.

TWA

I didn't pick up any players from barn door last week, which obviously I couldn't cause the games finishes at around 4 in the morning here. Given the chance, I would have picked up Vermaelen on the cheap & Cesc/Lamps but I missed out on the chance.

So I have to bite my teeth and continue to put my trust on my top 3 strikers I've gotten from the first week, Wayney, Droggy and Torr. Then I sold off Utaka, Brown and Malouda (disappointed with him) and got Cahill, Vermaelen (after a 2 mil increased) and Micah (pronounced Mykah) Richards.

Kept Nani and hoping that he comes back this week. Also hope that the gaffer plays Fabio given that he made some good overlappings and good defensive work in the Birmingham game.

Man Utd 1-0 Birmingham City

Watched Man Utd's opener last Sunday and I can see some truly magnificent wing plays between Nani-Evra and Valencia-Fabio. Things are looking great for Man Utd this season and I have every reason to believe that they can retain the title albeit with a lesser squad.

With Ronaldo gone now the team has a more solid build up and discipline team play which is required in Europe. I know Ronaldo can score a goal out of nowhere but he just leaves out too much space behind him to be covered by his team mates. And in the last season or two he has certainly stopped running at defenders whereas Valencia has strong runs and crossings which keep the defense at it's back foot.

I particularly like Macheda doing well this season. After scoring 2 spectacular goals which eventually turned out to be the 4 points which won us the league title, this year is his break out year, I actually much prefer him on the starting line up rather than Berbs who doesn't do much really.

As in the fantasy side, I've got 142 pints on the first weekend, not a bad result as it scored me a 4th place in the group. Too bad I missed out Cesc, Lampard and the likes at barn door, but I believe I have the base to keep my team going. Hopefully I can finally win something this season.

Bondi

We went to Bondi today to enjoy the start of the spring and we totally enjoyed it! Olivia were running up and down the grass field!

All 3 of us came home totally flat out and exhausted.

We should go there again, but this time for a swim at the ocean! I haven't swam there before, glad that the winter is gone.

Fishing

Mamak

We never thought that we would be craving for mamak food in our life but once you've arrived in somewhere away from home for a long time, you'd feel like everything from home is delicious. Even mamak food.

Last weekend we went to this place in Chinatown called...well you know, Mamak. I was told that it has been closed for a while for renovation and has only just reopen for business. Went for yum cha for lunch, and then walked around the city and waited until 5:30pm because that's when they open. By that time, a queue has been formed outside the shop. I told myself that I never thought once in my life that I have to queue up for mamak food.

When I walked into the restaurant, lo and behold, it's operated by Chinese! Waiters, guys manning the drinks up until the canai maker are all Chinese! It was truly amazing, not an indian in sight in this Mamak. Totally blew me away.

We ordered Teh Tarik, Nasi Lemak Ayam, Roti Kosong and Rojak. It didn't disappoint us, food arrived quickly, Mamak style quick. The Roti Kosong was one of the best I've tasted including the ones in Malaysia, Teh Tarik top notch. Rojak was different but very delicious, sauce was tasty, crackers was crunchy. yum!

Nasi Lemak was ok, kacang and ikan bilis not very crunchy but boleh tahan lah. One thing I thought they made the right choice was they didn't hold back on the spiciness and flavors which many Malaysian restaurants would change to suit the locals (they can't take spicy!). That I say was the thing that attracted so many Asians and the true local foodies who enjoy great original Asian food.

Bill came up to about 30 dollars which is well overpriced but what to do, they are the only Mamak in the whole of Sydney whereas KL has a few on the same street.

We totally enjoyed the food though, but thought that Olivia wasn't enjoying that much, slept through our train ride home.

Will definitely go there again to satisfy my home food cravings.

Jump

Jump, originally uploaded by Jin Han.

It's bayview park again. Went for a jog this morning and decided to get ourselves some jump shots.

Running

Wifey has been complaining about getting tired easily these days, so I commented on how she hasn't done any exercise or sports, so she said we have to get ourselves some serious exercise, keeping me fit and keeping her in shape, I know she's definitely in shape but still not exercising enough will get you tired easily.

So off we went for a pair of trainers as mine are for either futsal or walking and she.......well she didn't have one. We went to the Nike warehouse in Auburn for a look, found some cheap offers going on (they have offers everyday anyway, just that you have to look for the right size, you are in luck if you have big feet), 40% off for all the shoes on the rack, me and wife quickly went to scramble for some. Found this pair of Nike Free Everyday + which fits. Nike Free's idea comes from running bare feet, thus they designed a sole which is very flexible and soft, you can bend it as you like and it certainly feels good. We know we're in luck when wifey found the same Nike Free Everyday + for women which is a match with mine! Didn't think twice, grabbed both for 140 dollars and we are 2 happy customers.
.
The + denotes for Apple Nike, it allows a small transmitter to fit into the shoe sole, which transmits your pace to the iPod for recordings, you can then upload the data and tracks the distance you did, time and calories burned. Handy but comes with a heavy price, the Apple Nike kit is now sold for 48 dollars at the Apple Store. I think I'll wait for it until things get serious.

So this morning we woke Olivia up, at 9am of course, cause I can't wake up at 7 on a Saturday morning, nowadays she likes to sleep in the living room, which is wierd but great for me as I can get the bed all for myself.

Off we went to our favourite Bayview Park which is a short 5 minutes drive from our place, there's a set of child's playground so Olivia can play there with her friend while me and wifey took turn for a short run up the river which has a distance of about 2km through and back.

On the way.

Coming back.

And after a run we usually do a jumpshot.

I hope I can do a longer run later on. It just feels good.
