It's a long time since I last updated my blog...haha...very busy and shack with school work, tests, assignments and lab reports, FYP CA3 and CA4 and trying to meet all the deadlines...sigh...meet till almost DEAD~!!
Had my CA3 last tuesday...was quite worried about it ... so went to seek help from my advisor on last monday ... he looked through my powerpoint slides and pointed out some mistakes that I had made in the terminologies ...made some amendments and then gave me some encouragement + advices on how to present and tackle questions that my supervisor may post to me. Luckily, in the end everything went well ... Supervisor didn't asked too many questions as he did in CA2 ... maybe because I increased the number of appointments with him after CA2 and he more or less already knew what I was doing and how was my progress...
Actually when my supervisor told me that he wanted a formal CA3 presentation with powerpoint slides...I was quite unhappy about his decision...I have many friends who do not need to present CA3 to their supervisors, and I believe I don't have to either because I had been e-mailing him and dropping by his office to discuss about my progress more often after CA2. So my supervisor should already know very well what I was doing already...why need a CA3?
Well, it's only today that I realised that CA3 did helped me a lot ... It actually served as a rehearsal purpose for my CA4...I only changed the title of the powerpoint slides to "CA4" and re-use the slides again..and I am less worried and stressed over CA4. CA3 actually gave me confident in my presentation for CA4...Now I understood why my supervisor wanted CA3...I don't know whether he had that intention or he just want to "tekan" me, but CA3 really boosted my morale since my supervisor didn't comment too much on my CA3, so I assume that my presentation was fine and ok =) hehe ...
30th March, 11am...venue power system lab conference room at WS2...these are the date, time and venue for my CA4...I wouldn't say that I have done well for CA4 or FYP base on the examiner's reactions...He didn't comment too much and many of his doubts (I saw him scribbling down many qns during my presentation) were cleared during my presentations...My CA4 only lasted for 30 mins...very quick and short...Since the examiner ended his comments on my project with a smile ... I suppose it wasn't too bad after all... Well.......FYP IS FINALLY OVER~!!!! DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ANYMORE~!!! YEAH~!!!!
BUT I HAVE A TEST ON ADV CONTROL TOMORROW~!! KAOZ...HOW HUH? I STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON?? =( ....back to my notes.....

As the saying goes, "you reap what you sow"...I finally can appreciate this sentence...Haha..Why do I say so? Cos I had a hell time rushing my EE4302 Lab1 report today after my lecture. I totally forgot that Monday is the last day for the lab report submission...as the lecturer allows us to do this lab at home, I didn't turn up for lab session even though I signed up for one. I skipped the lab session to go for the career fair (you can check out from my prev blog dated 24th Feb ^_^) As I don't really like lab so much, I eventually forgot about the lab report. Most of my attention is put into my FYP...Luckily, it suddenly struck me that I need to hand up the advance control lab report yesterday while I was blading happily at East Coast Park...Wanted to do it myself on Sunday night...but eventually, I fell asleep hahaha...as usual (when me doing something I don't really like, I tend to fall asleep easily =P ) SO, I look to Stanley for help today...hahaha...the forever reliable guy...Got his report and code to understand first before "doing" it..haha..that's why it took me so long to get the report done...
And it's because of rushing this report, then I get to know that we are paying so much money to get very lousy facilities...I wanted to print my report after completing it...As I was doing my report in the central library..It's only normal to go to the library CBLC (computer base learning center) to print my document...only then I realised that there's NO MS office installed in all the computers in the library...there's only pdf available...kaoz...then I went to the computer center to print...managed to get a terminal, logged in, opened my MS word document, connect the terminal to the network printer...rushing to print as it was reaching 5pm at that time (need to hand in the report by 5pm)...THEN CAME THE PROBLEM...I realised that the terminal could not register the network printer...Without wasting much time..I went to ask for assistence...and the answer I got was:"Oh, it's like that one, some terminals cannot connect to the network printer...you gotta try your luck and find one that can LOH..." OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I was rushing for time and most of the terminals were occupied at that time...what the F**K!! Really disappointed...though some may think that I was kicking a big fuss over such a small matter and probably it was because I was in a rush, that's why such a small problem bothered me so much...But I really think that since we are paying for a World Class Tertiary Institute, we should not only get a World Class education (as if we are getting such World Class service), we should also get World Class facilities...What is this? "You gotta try and see which terminals can connect.." Kaoz...Seems like there's a break in contract leh...maybe can post this question to A/P Pillay...Eventually, I went to the CBLC at E2 to print and luckily managed to submit my report even though I was 10 minutes late.. =P After settling my lab report, it was already 5+ pm loh...sian, most of the time wasted on the stupid report...(BEST is .. I DUNO WTF IS GOING ON FOR THE LAB~!!) and trying to get my report printed...=(
Reached home about 10pm..opened ICQ and to my surprise..I got a msg from a Hong Kong friend...He told me that he is coming to DSI (Data Storage Institute - A*Star) for 2 months attachment...THIS IS GREAT~!! Hasn't got the time to chat with him online cos very busy...but now he is coming over in june for 2 months, me really excited and looking forward to that day...can meet up with him and chat with him like the old days hehehe...
OK, gotta go la, need to settle some claim matters for basketball sub club... ^_^ If you guys still duno, I am the Treasurer for NUS Basketball Sub Club ... hehehe...
