Hmm...long time never write my blogger loh...been busy during the Chinese New Year period...hee, though very shack going around to 拜年, but it's very fun...let me recap what I had done so far in the 5 days of Chinese New Year holiday...
21st Jan -- Chinese New Year Eve (除夕)
Oh man, I had lesson on that day...Advance Control System from 10am - 12pm, after that lunch with some friends and last minute shopping for chinese new year clothes with my gal and Kwan Wei...didn't go far..went to Tg Bahru Plaza to see see look look...There, Kwans found the Baleno Polo-T that Hock had wanted very much...what luck man...In the end he bought 2, 1 for himself and 1 for hock...haha...I also wanted to buy 1 super red colour Polo-T for myself, but don't have the size I wanted...sigh...(luckily in the end, my gal found it at one of the Baleno outlets in Orchard...Yeah ^_^ ) Shopping trip didn't end at Tiong Bahru Plaze...me dragged kwans to Queensway shopping center, haha..cos I didn't get to buy any clothes from our previous stop...we walked n walked n walked ... in the end, realised that the Polo-Ts that I was interested in DIDN'T HAVE MY SIZE TOO!!! 他媽的!!In the end, I only bought a pair of sandals then went home for my reunion dinner (團圓飯)
22nd Jan -- 1st day of Chinese New Year (大年除一)
As per normal, my aunties and uncles would come to my house to 拜年 to my mum first, cos she's the eldest then we all went for round-robin 拜年 but didn't manage to finish the loop...In the end, the last stop for the day was at my granny's house...after that me and sis suggested to take a cab home, cos super shack out...don't wana go and wait for the public transport...haha...When I got home...I updated my homepage and linkpage to fit into the Chinese New Year occasion...haha...If you are reading my blogger now, you would have noticed the "Great New Year" atmosphere my homepage brings to you ^_^
23rd Jan -- 2nd day of Chinese New Year (大年除二)
Went to William's house on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year...It's his habit cos it's like "open house" to his friends and his relatives...I went with hock and was supposed to meet at 1030am..but in the end I was late...hahaha...as usual, I couldn't wake up on time...=P Looked at some of William's childhood photos and subsequently played mahjong with his Hwa Chung JC Wu Shu (武術) friends...there's one expert who kept winning and me + hock felt so sian..hahaha =P Well, eventually...the "main actress" (女主角) of the day appeared...William's 美美的阿姨arrived in his house...haha...wana know why there's this big hoo haa over his aunty? Go and ask William loh...if you don't know who he is? Then too bad hahahaha...After visiting William's house, I continued to go for my unfinished loop of the round robin with my relatives ^_^ (Supposed to go to Desmond's house to 拜年 but because need to go for my relatives' round robin, got to give up going to Desmond's house ...)
24th Jan -- 3rd day of Chinese New Year (大年除三)
Actually me wanted to do some work first then go to my friends' house to 拜年..but in the end, I woke up late again...haha...The first stop was Hock's house...went to play Gunbound in his house and helped him to earn 3000 GOLD within 3 hours...haha and also helped him to get a foster Gunbound sister... =P Then we went over to Kunning's house to 拜年 and to meet the rest of the guys before setting off for Raymond's house for steamboat dinner...That day was a bit special...Raymond actually drove a lorry to Kunning's house to 拜年...SOOO IN THE END....ALL GUYS HOP ONTO HIS LORRY FOR A RIDE TO HIS HOME!!!! HAHAHAHA...like a group of "Foreign Talents" hahaha ... NEH NEH!!! Highlight for that night was gambling...played black jack and lost S$0.70..phew, Ziming was the overall big winner and Raymond didn't believed he had lost S$7.00 at the end of the game...haha...this taught us a lesson...gambling is only for fun, never take it as an alternative for striking rich...as the saying goes.. 十賭九輸
25th Jan -- 4th day of Chinese New Year (大年除四)
Supposed to go for a gathering with my OCS friends in one of the guys' house...but in the end because my relatives came over for dinner, I gotta stay at home and entertain them...they stayed till around 8pm and went home...After the dinner, I was very shack out and fell asleep at around 9am ... wow, that was the earliest time I had ever slept!!! haha...when i opened my eyes, it's Monday...argh...time to go back to school again and gotta worry over my FYP..nothing produced yet..shit..I think it's not Final Year Project anymore ... HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! ^_^ ... Today is the first day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, also known as "Chu Yi"...Me woke up quite late, around 10+ am, haha...Subsequently, my relatives came and then we set off to visit each of their homes to "Bai Nian" and collect red packets aka "Hong Bao" ...It's really a tiring day, not because of "Bai Nian", but because I got to play with my young cousins..wow, they are very energetic and naughty...haha, sometimes it's really tough to handle them ^_- Nevertheless, it's a wonderful day and a wonder family gathering today for me...haha and the "Bai Nian" still continues tomorrow...hehe, cos I didn't managed to finish visiting all relatives' houses by today, so have to extend that to tomorrow also .. and also gotta visit my friends too...hehe, busy busy ... ^_^Labels: New Year

14/01/2004 is the day where Stanley officially becomes 27...haha, he's reaching the "uncle" category soon 9_9 ... All of us had a wonderful celebration with Stan today...I hope he enjoys it also ^_^ We had Birthday song n cake cutting session in the afternoon, after his 2 morning lectures, in one of the engineering classrooms; risking being spotted n scolded by the Fat Indian lady Cleaner...hehehe...eventually, everything went smoothly, phew, no disturbance from our "common enemy" (haha, i think she hates Raymond more -_-"' )
That's not all, we went for makan at Buona Vista and eventually ended up at Holland Village NYDC...We indulged in our jokes and the game "Zhong Ji Mi Ma", coming up with all sorts of funny stuff to make the game more entertaining... ^_^ The stakes that we played ranged from Fried Chicken to Red/Green Chillis to Coffee and ice water...haha!! In the end everyone gotta Q up for the toilet...some due to drinking too much from the forfeit and some were because of laughing too much, in turn causing them to drink plenty of water to quench their thirst =_="' We also took a lot of photos ... hehe, cannot wait to get them from Sera hehehe.. then I can upload them onto my homepage v (^_^) v
It's really feels good to be able to enjoy good times with friends...esp now when we are still schooling...relationships in schooling days are most of the time very pure, truthful and innocent...I don't find the same kind of friendship when I went to Hong Kong for Overseas Industrial Attachment...where back stabbing is very common and the best thing is ... You never know when you'll be the target of the back stabber unless you can read his/her mind ... But what the heck, this is the painful fact...survival of the fittest...very soon I will be thrown into this merciless society to learn the "way of survival" ... better enjoy myself now 9_9

Hm...me hasn't write anything in my Blog for a few days...nothing special had happened for the past few days...Well, only "big" thing that happened was..I broke my uncle's blade, haha. The outer cover of the blades are made of plastic and a big piece of it fell off...probably due to the wear n tear as it was being intensely used by my uncle before he lent them to me.
Just updated my homepage today...haha, cos hands itchy, didn't want to do FYP cos I spent the whole day trying to understand Neural Network (Perceptron section), then in the end I realise that the Back Propagation section looks more suitable for my work...shit!! Me wasted so much time on the wrong section!! sian...-_-"'

There and again, a JimBean tale...
Went to meet my friends for Lunar New Year shopping at Queensway Shopping Centre today in the evening...didn't intend to buy any clothes but just wana jalan jalan...haha...Well, didn't progress much today with my FYP...still hasn't learn how to use Multi-layer Perceptron neural network for Matlab...haha, mainly because I slept most of the day...duno why, maybe my eyes are tired from starring at the computer screen everyday...so in the end, I decided to print out the help section to read.
Had a couple of gunbound games after returning home and finished watching "Who wants to steal a Million". Did a DK again today...hmm...seems like quite easy to get DK recently...oh well, since I am just a "social player" now ... getting DK or not doesn't really excite me ^_^
Okie...back to FYP...

hmm...finally, managed to write out the codes for the 3 important parameters for my FYP...next step is to get the neural network done...hopefully I can learn how to use it quickly, then I can do more additional stuff for my FYP...
haha, me played GunBound less frequent, and I realised I am more "zoon" when I play less ... haha... surprisingly, I made 2 DK (Double Kill) in a single day...once when I was playing on the same team as BBRO and Coldfox..the other was while playing with strangers, I killed 2 naks...haha...
oki, back to FYP for awhile more and off to bed liao ... ^_^

Semester has started and I am back to school since Monday, 5th Jan 2004. Timetable for this semester is the most relaxing, but the amount of work load is still the same. Though lesser modules are taken this semester, much time is still needed to spend on work, especially on FYP. *Sigh* whenever I mention or think about FYP, I start to become a "Gan Jiong Spider"...nothing much has been done and not much progress so far...though I know that it is not that difficult, but I am hindered by the lack of knowledge on Matlab and also laziness...I should have used the holidays to do as much as possible, but then again ... I didn't progress that much...and it's no use sulking over the lost time. This semester, I bear the burden of pulling my CAPs up...It's really a do-or-die situation...It's like "Sink all my ships" and "Bu Chen Gong, Bian Chen Ren" situation...It's very stressful, but I can only blame it on myself for doing damn badly for ONLY ONE semester when I was in year 2, 1st semester...That Java and Eng Maths modules really killed me...sigh...Well, I'll just have to try my best and put myself to the test...and I think my temper will go hay-wired for this semester...I just hope that I will not offend anyone...

Just had my lunch. Me woke up very early in the morning, around 7am...sat at the sofa and stare into the blank space. Finally decided to go back to my warm bed hahaha...so in the end I woke up at 11am plus. Haha...today gotta really work on my FYP and draw out my timetable already...sem is starting tomorrow again and it's going to be my last semester for me in NUS, though I really hope I can further my studies. That will all depend on my last semester's results ba..
Well, had a gathering at my home with my friends last night. Had a great time with them. Met them at Chinatown to buy some ingredients for steamboat, then to NUTC for Beer and disposable utensils. When we reached my home, some of us watched Lord of the Rings 1:"Fellowship of the Ring", some played GunBound After dinner, some played PS2 and the rest played mahjong. It was great to have the house filled with laughters and we were being greatly entertained by the best dual, Coldfox and BBRO...haha...They are funny in GB and in real person!! =P
