13th Post in the not so Chinese New Year place.

Sorry for my usually-expected hiatus from blogging. Thing is, its Chinese New Year so no offence la right, hehe. First I would like to wish all Chinese and all Malaysians and all Ang Mohs a very Happy Chinese New Year and may we ALL have a super prosperous year ahead. May all the money come come and may all the good results come as well =) Oh and since valentine's day coming, may all the chiqs come as well.(although i've been wishing this for years. oh well)

Well, obviously Chinese New Year here is not as near SUBANGGGGGGGGGGGGG but none the less we had new years eve dinner and chinese new year dinner with a number of fellow malaysians too..and of coures card games on me lovely pool table. Quite chun la play on pool table, like real casino table only. Unfortunately I have no pictures now coz its in someone elses camera. Chill awhile la I will put here if I get it. Don't take my word for it.

Anyhow..the first few days of pre-CNY was really REALLY homesick-ing. And I din't make the situation better by constantly listening to Malaysian radio for the past week. MY FM. Malaysia best chinese radio station. Always playing Chinese New Year songs and those DJ's ah, their chinese so china-man, classic la. All the flash back, BOOM BOOM BOOM. Wah dam beh tahan la. Well for those overseas people, if you think you can handle it, then please go to www.dvrplayer.com register and log in, then all the Malaysian radio stations you can listen till drop! JJ and Rudy's voice can then brighten up your life!(again!)

Oh, and as if all these weren't good enough, my family is now in Langkawi for the past few days, and when I webcam with them, my lovely dad put the laptop on the gambling table with my cousins and relatives and they play cards and count money! wtf. show me those notes summore. knn adi. Here in English land cannot gamble la, chor dai di if lose confirm 70 ringgit gone. Stakes are 7 times more than back home. Cannot man. Well but my dad said the pounds dropped to 6.3. Yah, 6.3! My sis said when she was here few months ago it was 7.1! So stakes much less now, lets shopping!! I already bought a small small present for meself, waiting for it to come. hehe.

Its gonna be FOUR WHOLE MONTHS till I get back for summer holidays, holidays for 3.5months to 4 months. OMG. HEAVEN. I'm counting the days man. So much things awaits me in Malaysia. SO so much. I hope.

Time passes so fast here I just cannot believe it. For example, while we were walking towards the restaurant during CNY, I totally felt like the day before where we were walking towards another restaurant the night before. Because its like after dinner, then play cards, then sleep till 11am, then class 2pm. Then finish class 5pm. Then 7pm walk to dinner again then play cards. OMG. Everyday also something like that, i mean minus the playing cards la.

Talking about time, semester 2 started 2 weeks liao. And its getting really really tough. Sem1 was nothing. Its only been 2 weeks and the amount of stuff that I don't get is, well, quite unbelieveable. Projects are coming fast, and we still havent figure out how and what to do. I have to try and work something this weekend. But not a really big fuss la, just to voice out my concern so that got more urge to catch up before I get left far far behind.

Well, I guess this is it. Oh, and its gonna be this few days or a week or so for those AUSTRALIA people to start their eduacation abroad. New phase of life, and of coures, new excitement and adventure awaits. Just want to wish all the MELBOURNE, SYDNEY, NEWCASTLE, GOLD COAST, UNISA people all the very very best and make full use of the university life you've been blessed. Its gonna be a blast for you all and Happy Chinese New Year to you all again! Although I won't be there to send you guys off, my heart and prayer shall always be with you and make sure yours does too!

p.s. Some insight bout the rat year. Oh and gambling, I miss you like anything I can ever miss.

12th Post in the Bath 2008.

Yes I was back since last Tuesday. Came back early to study for exams. Exams is this week and next week.

Been going to library everyday. Quite rajin for my standards. Today had maths paper. Verdict?

Well considering and did countless past year papers and lots of exercises. Its not bad but not very good either. Could have been better. I mean I have done lots of those integration and complex numbers that would come out. And judging by the past papers you would expect them to repeat a lil bit.

Suddenly. Some tweaks here and there and I was stuck. As in i recognise the pattern but need some time to think coz its quite different then what I've. Well in the end time just would not allow. At least I did half of the parts where I couldn't do. Hope its okay. Curve sketching sux though.

And I came home just now and did that integration again. HOLA. Din't recognise the pattern, could have got that easily. Oh well.

Weather here in Bath, United Kingdom been up and down really. Was bout 7 or 8 degrees when I came back. And it dropped to 2 or 3 few days later. And few days ago -1 or -2 and even snowed that day. And as I type this entry 2am, its 4 degrees. Fairly fine.

So 4 more papers to go before next semester starts. Been feeling a little homesick and lonely to be honest while in my room. But that's what you would expect to feel when you are overseas innit? I can leave with this. Yes I can. That's why we are HERE anyway.

Wonder what is it like back home. I guess everyone is busy meeting up everyone coz everyone going overseas adi. *ahem*Melbourne*ahem*

I think if I'm home also tian tian must go out lol. So being here not that bad after all, can concentrate. Speaking bout going out. The OHM and BUZZ of party boy or clubbing-king of me totally gone liao i think. 10+ weeks I no go night activity in Bath town liao. Dunno whats wrong. Maybe its just not my thing? Maybe its too expensive? Maybe I just want to stay home and study?! Well maybe Jiat is an introvert after all. Anti-social.

Anyway next Thursday night last paper and I promised people that I will break that 10+ week-no-club record. So till then, its some study hard and enjoy the cold weather.

And gossip girls.

Omfg can't believe I just said that.

Study.

Why can't I just be like those people in the picture. I've been trying to study these few days. But like SO unproductive and falling asleep. Can die you know if teruskan like that. Exams 14th Jan onwards so don't ask me why I come back for holidays still must study.

HELP.

I think I must sleep early then next day can concentrate. Come back here always sleep late at night. BAD BAD BAD.

I'm gonna try to hardcore studies TOMORROW. Have to cancel the highly anticipated lunch plans with a long time no see friend. Sorry ya, next week I make sure I see YOU.

Hardcore studies. Say only like I so studious. Productive or not is a mystery like whether sushi foo will remain here in Malaysia when I come back next summer. LOL.

But seriously. I need to study and be more productive.

Best of Luck to anyone who is trying to study too.

Like Miss Thomas say: Got people to cook and wash for you, so must concentrate and make sure you make full use of your advantage!

10th post in Malaysia! (Finally)

AH. Home sweet home. Don't argue that. Quite lazy to update. Been trying to get over jetlag. Slept only 6 hours combined on Monday and Tuesday night. But getting better after some pill my dad gave me. Quite effective. Eat adi after 20mins confirm GONG GONG and KO.com.my. Cool.

Nothing special since arriving here. Those normal stuff u would do if you get home from overseas after A WHILE. Eat local food. Nasi Lemak. Yumcha. Celebrate birthday. SHisha. Tok cock. Laugh. Drive. Speeding. Joke. Badminton. Football. Online. STUDY.

Study. Havent started la. But exams 14th Jan. Have to study la right? Flight suppose to be 10th Jan back. But I've asked my dad to try getting 8th or 9th Jan so that I can go back earlier for study week which begins on the 7th of Jan. Lots of people say you can't study in Malaysia. Hmm..Not sure yet, but try la, isn't the same when SPM or A-Levels we study at home? Matter of want or don't want only right.

Feel quite tired after some long journey, but i must say got SUPER a lot of Malaysians student in the plane that day. LOL. And who says no one come back for Christmas?

Holiday is just the beginning. Will it be better or the fact that exams are near kills off the fun?

p.s. sorry ah my post so lame. mood takda. restless la here, this country so hot.

9th post-notts and pre-HOME in the Bath 2007!

Hie hie hie hie hi Hey hello yo!! Its yet another post from me! Whee! For those who tian tian(everyday) come to check for updates, your hard work finally paid off! Here I am, a BLOG ENTRY! Its very late now, hope its a short one.

Well obviously I'm here to talk bout Nottingham Games 2007 which happened last weekend. Well it was a very very good event to meet people, Malaysian people from all over UK. Gives you the feeling like you are in Malaysia leh. There were lots of event such as futsal, basketball, badminton, netball, hockey(got ah?), volleyball, dll(dan lain-lain). As you can see at the picture above, I played futsal for Bath Malaysian Society and those blue people, or rather people in blue(expect keeper) are my team-mates. Really good footballers they are. Really.

For those curious people back in Malaysia, in Nottingham town, there is a real BIG spacious compound called POWER LEAGUE. And you've guess right, its outdoor futsal court. They have SIXTEEN outdoor futsal court. 16. And you thought sports planet/rio was big? =)
Anyways, there were 60 teams and each split evenly to 12 groups, and ridiculously, only the top teams in each groups qualify to the next phase. Oh and the BEST 4 runner-up, they will see your goal difference and choose la. And i think we manage 3rd in the group. Oh and the rules here is NO ONE can enter the BOX except the keeper, not even defenders or your anyone from your own team.

Although how humiliating it was, I think I have to take some responsibility for our failure to qualify, or giving us the chance to MAYBE qualify. Not like I'm the star player or important player or what la ok. Ok, we won 1, drew 1 and lost 2 games. The 1st game we lost to last year's finalist so well nothing much to complain about. Then we won the 2nd game. I didn't play for the first two games but I started the 3rd game as a defender. But knowing me I like to go upfront to be involved la ok, lol. Surprisingly, I got 2 chances in front of goal, 1 was quite open 1 in front of keeper. Miss those, unsurprisingly...Swt. Apart from that I went back and defended well and 0-0 half time. Then after half time, I decided to stay back more.

THEN.

THEN,

THEN.

During 1 unlucky and unmindful and noob moment, when someone took a shot, I went into the box and clear the ball till fly out dunno where. Just when i thought:" Wah settle la clear so far away..geng leh.." Referee blow whistle and I saw everyone's face DULAN KNN WTF?

"........"

I wasn't suppose to even enter the box.

Penalty.

" Jiat, wtf were you thinking?"

BOOM. GOAL.

1-0 nil down.

The sorhem who gave away the penalty got sub out.

Final score: 1-0.

ZZZZZZzzzz.

Lol. Ya don't laugh. And when I went to ask the organiser, they said it should only be an indirect free kick.

=.=

Then last game. I played 2nd half as striker, 1 moment. In front of goal nobody can touch me and CONFIRM GOAL if I took it 1st time. But I took 2 touches too many.

Final score: 0-0.

HAHA. What an experience. To be honest we should have qualified if wasn't those unlucky circumstances and if we have played together long enough. But the rest of them team was absolutely brilliant! *Claps* We will be ready for next year! Not to win the trophy but as least qualify from the group stage and go further!

Then went to watch badminton and basketball. Badminton was really good I must say, the men's singles was very nice to see. Seems like Malaysian badminton have a very bright future. The winner was a state player for Pahang studying in Birmingham. The boy is really good, as his opponent too. But don't know where the fella from though. They had super net play and good footwork. If i can be half like them good liao. Haha. And basketball. Imperial college. Omfg. Trashing everyone. Well I think coz most of them are experienced basketballers in Malaysia, none the less it was very fun to see Malaysian people playing basketball and competing in an indoor court. Then we went to the Malaysian food galore in some hall on the Nott campus. To my delight, got NASI LEMAK SATAY NASI BERIANI CENDOL ROTI CANAI etccc.. WOOOO. Of coz i try all la. It was really good. Of coures its made my our very own Malaysian or asian people. Met some of PE6-ians as well and some very old friends! Overall a trully memorable event this one. Was knackered at the end of the day coz only had 2 hours of sleep on the way to Notts.

So, this is the last week of the semester. Week 11 of semester. Yeah I have been in Bath for almost 3 months now. Which means I'm going back to NASI LEMAK LAND this Sunday night and arriving on Monday(17th Dec) evening! I have been quite busy this weekend. been going to library to finish report and try to finish all the maths and circuit theory tutorial so that can ask lecturer or post-grad to clear any doubts. The mathematics its really getting tough to handle I must tell you. Its beginning to look not even like in A-Levels, its much tougher than that. Even with the solution sheets its so farking hard to answer those integration and vector questions. Haih. Must keep trying la. So much do all the work and ask by this week.

Ok super late adi. Been sleeping very late last week and week before, bad for health. Take care and there will be 1 more last post before I zoom out of Bath place back to Subang SS19 for some much-anticipated vacation. Eagerly anticipated. Nightz!

p.s. Oh and I'm going to watch my first ever English Premier League match LIVE in the stadium this Saturday in London. Tell you which game is it. Till the next post. =)
