New Life

For some reason, robins love the Williams' home. As many of you know, we had a robin nest on our porch last year. She laid and hatched four babies. At first I thought it was great, but reality quickly set in.

That mama bird would dive bomb anyone who came near. For four weeks we were afraid to use the front door. Then there's the issue of the poop.....oh the poop! Poop galore on the front porch and my decorations. I did not enjoy mother natures miracle. In fact, I pretty much swooshed the last baby out of the nest. The rest were gone, so I figured it would be fine on its own. Then, I cleaned up the porch and threw the nest away.

Well, after that experience, you better believe that I have been very vigilant on watching for any signs of nesting around the front porch. No way am I going through that again!

So, Jason was out checking the central air units today and was attacked by a robin. Upon further investigation, we found this little nest of birdies up in a pine tree. It was too tall for me to see in it, so with Jason covering me, I went in for the pic! Look what we have.

I can appreciate the beauty so much more when the poop stays in the bushes and the killer, dive-bombing parents stay on the side of the house where no one really ever walks. Love it!

oh, Hail!

Unpredictable Summer Weather! Jason was out of town when this bad boy hit.
He called home later that night and asked, "Did you go running this morning?"

"Nope. I couldn't."

I sometimes love hail! Don't tell Jason, though!

Myrtle Beach

It began with a FOREVER long plane ride. Boring.
Then it was time for fun in the sun!
Are you having fun, yet?
Alfalfa, I mean Cayden, is having lots of fun!
What's a trip without a bout of the stomach flu?

Hannah started it all on Tuesday. It went through Hannah, my Mom, Jason, and Taylor. Cayden and I lucked out! That was a long first week.

I made her sleep on the floor in my room to make sure there wouldn't be any need for "carpet cleaning" while we were there.
We toured plantations on the way to Chili's in Charleston. Lunch was really great, Travis, thanks for the suggestion! :)
There are lots of mini golf courses in MB. We hit a few while we were there.
We drove to NC to see the Battleship North Carolina
It was awesome. Ships are tight living quarters. Scratch joining the Navy off my list. I'd never survive a night at sea on one of those!
This is one of SEVERAL pictures that Hannah took of Jason and me. I don't think it turned out too bad! Way to go Hannah!
We went and saw "UP." Jason just looked too hot in his 3-D glasses to not get a picture.
An early morning walk to the pier for breakfast. I love that beach!
Celebrate!

Sweet, Sweet memories! Myrtle Beach was my Dad's favorite vacation spot. We were glad to spend time there as a family.
Until next year........
