Family Christmas Letter 2011

Scholle Family 2011

A brief summary of our 2011 happenings… We started out the New Year with the end of our trip to Washington DC. Our precious Aurora joined our family in April. We enjoyed a summer of family reunions in Boise and camping around Utah. The boys took a father-son trip to San Francisco to attend a few Giants baseball games. In the fall, we went to Fresno for a friend’s wedding shortly followed by an enjoyable trip to Disneyland. And now we’re spending the holidays at home!

Stephen (26) is currently finishing his schooling as an intern teaching Spanish and Utah History at Mountain Ridge Jr. High in Highland. He really enjoys teaching and rumor has it that his students really enjoy him as well. Steve also spends his evenings coaching the freshman basketball team. He enjoys spending time with his little buddy Cooper and watching ESPN. We look forward to the conclusion of his schooling this spring.

Jessica (24) is in the middle of her fourth year teaching preschool at Westmore Elementary in Orem. She enjoys working with young children and being a mother of two beautiful children. She keeps busy with her full time job and being a mother, wife, and housekeeper. Jessica loves to read and has recently developed a love for Zumba.

Cooper (2 ½) is a busy toddler. He enjoys playing “gaskitball”, watching BYU’s Cosmo and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, eating chocolate, spending time with his dad, and being a big brother. He can count to 5, tell us his name, tell us how old he his, and identify the colors blue and orange. We are so proud of our little monkey and can’t believe he will be attending preschool this coming fall.

Aurora (8 ½ months) is our petite and happy princess who is a fast learner. She crawls, pulls herself up on furniture, walks along furniture, climbs up stairs and on top of Cooper’s little table, stands for several seconds, talks like a growling bear cub, feeds herself finger foods, and does a good job looking so cute. We can’t believe how fast she is growing and we think she’ll be walking soon.

May this holiday season bring you joy and happiness!

Sincerely,
The Scholle’s

Disneyland seemed really busy this time around. I think next time we'll go when it's less crowded. Maybe January or February. The kids were able to go on a lot of rides. There were only a few times I had to wait with Aurora. So it was nice. It was a little hard to accommodate to 11 different people in our group. But we had fun! We always seem to run into someone we know at Disneyland. This time around we ran into the Perrish's from our old ward and our family doctor, Shelly Savage.
