Clara and I escaped the January snow and spent a few days staying with Kristin and M in Menlo Park (right near Stanford/Palo Alto) and LOVED our time there. They were wonderful hosts (tiny crowded apartment and all- we are used to such things!). I would live in the Bay area in a heartbeat if it wasn't so unreasonably expensive. Anyway, we spent a lot of time soaking up the sun and exploring downtown one day.
