Thanksgiving and Mount Vernon

Here's a snapshot of our Thanksgiving holiday:

Gathered around for turkey dinner.

Visiting Mount Vernon with Dad, Jacob, and my Goodfellow Grandparents.

Anything to get inside from the cold- including dancing! Thanks to grandma and grandpa who captured these shots!

From Washington's Back porch... a view of the Potomac! Yes, we were freezing.

We (oh, excuse me, Dad and Jacob) had to wait in line for an hour out in the cold before we got in to see the actual house. But we got lucky because we got to tour the 3rd floor- which they only open 1 day a year! Sorry, no sneak pictures of that. But it was a fun experience!

It all ended way too fast. Now we're back home and one of us has begun studying for finals, while the other wastes as much time as possible doing anything besides homework (hence the blog post)!

More Apples

We took a second trip to Charlottesville, this time with my brother, for more apple picking and to catch a free movie at the Virginia Film Festival.

Have I mentioned that I love Virginia? I know I grew up (mostly) in this state but I've fallen way more in love with it since coming back!

Halloween

Happy Halloween! Carving pumpkins...

Jessie scoops the guts.

Dustin does the carving. His dental skills come in handy!

Ta dah...!

Dustin was going to be a scarecrow but due to a costume malfunction he turned into a cowboy! (And I'm his pumpkin!)
