The Dirty Dash

Ooo, I almost forgot to mention the Dirty Dash. What a fun race! The Dirty Dash is a simple 5K obstacle course through the MUD, held at the beginning of May up near Heber (I think). We were the Muddy Ducks and boy did we sport those feathers and orange legs with pride. Turns out, it is more of a chicken thing to have white feathers and orange legs (so pointed out the 5 yr old that passed by me on the way to the starting line), but what ev'...we were poultry nonetheless and we had an EXCELLENT time.

Our team (most of us) coming in to the finish line.

I'm there on the left.

Sean can be found at the bottom of the photo, on his behind, covered in MUD.

More muddy action pictures can be found on either of our Facebook pages.

June- Wasatch Back Ragnar

June's run was Sean's 2nd Ragnar race this year- the local Wasatch Back. 192 miles from Logan to Park City. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of the actual race days, but I did have some photos of Sean training the week before in his 3-Form Team T-shirt. He ran 7 miles up Big Cottonwood Canyon. If I can snag photos of the actual race, I'll add them later. Lame, I know.

Ogden Half Marathon

The Ogden Half Marathon, what a cool race! I think Sean would say that this was the most scenic race he's run yet (this year). It started up in Eden UT and then dropped down in to Ogden via the Ogden Canyon, ending at (my fav) Historic 25th street. It also had a BOAT LOAD of participants (as evidenced in the # of porta potties you'll see pictures below). Sean wasn't initially planning to run this race, but when his boss (Becky) determined that she was too injured to carry out her plan to run it, Sean quickly offered to take her spot. Turns out that since the Ogden Marathon/Half Marathon is such a BIG deal, they put 'your' name on 'your' bib AND announce 'your' name when you cross the finish line. I was so proud of my strong "Rebecca" that day:)

The signature stretching picture. We don't want any injuries, so you gotta do plenty of this before the race.

And this.

It was too pretty up in Eden not to get a photo of the 2 of us.

See! I told you. That's a lot of honey buckets.

Live band. Super, super cool.

A BIG thanks to Heidi, Bridger and little Paxton for joining our support crew for the day.

We were able to see Sean just as he came out of the canyon. This is about mile 10.

Just after he crossed the finish line- feeling a little delirious I believe.

Amazing how a little bit of water and a cool chocolate creamy can make you feel a little better after a race:)

I love this picture (the finish line is back between those 2 traffic lights).

No he's not prepping to puke, he's just stretching out those exhausted calves of his.

Take THAT 4th Half Marathon this year! Good job honey!!!!!

May's race- Check

PS- I was SO impressed with the 2 dozen or so people that WALKED this whole race. You might think that sounds backwards, but I think it shows how dedicated they are to their cause: "Just getting out there and do what YOU can do. If you can't run, walk" So cool.

April's Thanksgiving Point 1/2 Marathon

Sean ran this one while I was on a plane to PA, so I didn't get pictures. I'll snag some from a co-worker of his and add them later. The race was through the tulips at Thanksgiving Point and Sean said it was gorgeous.
